Rar'gul, let me make sure you're up to speed on the various computer files that were found on Terrapin Station. Some of this will be review, some may be new.. You find that the files you found earlier include entries on
Narla and Shez had been serving at the Steward station on Roselight on Liavara before being assigned to Tyrkalis Base. It’s clear from these reports that reptoids have infiltrated Roselight. However, some of these
The Tyrkalis reptoid also gave a full briefing on all of you to unnamed superiors, passing along your pictures, your personal information, and video of them fighting aboard the Voidcrier and in Tyrkalis Base. Unfortunately, similar information, doctored for the audience,
Despite having evidence of a reptoid conspiracy, it seems you are likely to soon be wanted in the Pact Worlds, at least until you can clear your names.
All of Dr. Flint-Bridge's tests do indeed point to Cidribvoot being a Dirindi. I've fallen behind just a bit this week. I'll certainly have more for you all this weekend. By the way, the Voidcrier's computer has many of the same records you came across earlier in the control room. It indicates transmissions to a place called Roselight on Liviara that implicate all of you as terrorists who destroyed Tyralkis (this report excludes Cidribvoot). Check out my post from October 4th for a full reminder of what you have found out here at Terrapin Station.

I'm glad Rar'gul got to use dampen as well. At first I laughed and said to myself "what a cheater!" Lol! There will indeed be a chance to rest coming up soon. Of course that all depends on escaping from Terrapin Station with a ship. I'm hoping to write some sort of "story so far" post soon. This will mainly be for Yoro's benefit, but I think we'll all get something out of it.
Hello again, everyone! I've made some decisions about moving forward. I've decided that given the restraints of time, this game is just going to have to go by the wayside. I just can't promise that I can put my heart and soul into this game. I'm keeping the Threefold Conspiracy going. Moving forward, I think I can kick that game into gear. Three of you are in that game. If the two of you who aren't in that game would like to join, I will make a spot for you. Though this seems unlikely, I would entertain assisting a new GM who might want to take this over. That isn't easy. In a case like that, I would likely try to stay with the game as a player.
I have to guess that Pokotho will not be back with us. He hadn't posted for quite sometime even before the summer. That leaves the characters John, Dr. Flint-Bridge, T'sorkel, and Rar'gul. That's a terrific core to make this game rise from the dead. The sad part is that I think I'm going to shut down the Aeon Throne game. I need to give my best to fewer games, and not my "meh" to more games. I'm going to invite the players there to join this game. At least two of you are already in that game. I'll need to figure out who's left. My summer has been both stressful and enjoyable. My Dad is moving to an "independent living" home within the month. I have continued to be busy with my Tuesday night Dungeons and Dragons at the library. We're getting 25 kids a week there and running three tables. I attended Gencon, and once again ran the "Academy" for Paizo. We offered Starfinder and Pathfinder for dozens of kids and families. Janosian and I have recently started a SF2E in-person game. I'm running Cosmic Birthday for our group of local friends. To top it all off, I've recently begun taking guitar lessons after not picking up my instrument in 10 years! More on our actual game later.

You'd think after all these years of running games here I would know how to do that. I don't. Lol! So I think we shall let this slight breach of etiquette slide with only this minor punishment: Locket opens his backpack to find that someone has stolen the best part of one of his RTE's--the small tube of Akitonian Pepper Spice cheese spread that tastes oh-so-good when squeezed upon the vac-packed shelf stable bread that is also in the R2E.
Howdy gang. We'll get this show on the road over the weekend. My Dad has once again been hospitalized. I have been busy handling his affairs. I think I'll take a moment here and let you all know that we'll be wrapping this adventure up quite soon. Honestly, it's not looking good Do'trulo and his gang. With the end of this adventure, I'll be back to GMing just two games. I think that will be a much better place for me, and I'll be able to keep up better than I have as of late. If any of you are looking for a way to continue playing, I'd certainly entertain you joining either my Against the Aeon Throne group or my Threefold conspiracy group. The Aeon Throne group is in the middle of book 2 of 3. Still plenty of good stuff left! One nice thing is that your characters in this game are very close to the correct level if you would want to port it over. The Threefold Conspiracy group is getting ready to start book 4 of 6. It's been a rollicking roller coaster ride, rife with paranoia! If any of you are interested, please PM me. I can find a place for 2-3 of you.

Yes. It's totally a crit, and absolutely WRECKS Tezz. Locket takes a vengeful swing, and Do'Trulu's second in command is no more.
Speaking as the volunteer head of the Academy program for kids and families at Gen Con, I can't say how happy I am to see this content. Having read the first of these ("The Winter Queen's Dollhouse"), I can't help but be excited about having these all ages adventures. I should add that we will be looking for volunteer GM's for the Academy program. If you enjoy GMing and teaching kids, teens, and sometimes moms and dads, HAVE I GOT A JOB FOR YOU! Please watch out for volunteer submission information for Gen Con in the near future. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about the Academy program at Gen Con.

Hello, all. I wanted to let you all know that my absence here will unfortunately need to be permanent. I have been put in the difficult position of needing to care for elderly parents. This has caused some stress and cut into my leisure time for things like this. This past month, both my Mom and Dad have spent time in the hospital. My Dad in particular continues to have a tough time getting around. I am doing my best to help him get to appointments and helping him to prepare meals and maintain his house. I obviously had to make some choices. Thankfully, I am able to continue to continue to GM a couple of games (luckily one will be ending soon). I do apologize to all of you for this. It just didn't seem fair for me to continue when my heart and thoughts were elsewhere.
First of all, in honor of the passing of Uchurtai's cat, I put pictures of Chef Brian (left) and little Ebisu (right) on the third slide. One of the gangers falls under a hail of gunfire from Locket and Uchurtai. Blue is dead. The others step over his lifeless body and attack! Unfortunately, one of them (green) steps right into Janebok's grease spell. The MUSIC begins. reflex save for green: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Fail! He falls prone! The big, tough looking ganger sees his compatriot fall and takes the proper precautions to cross the greased floor. acrobatics check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 ...and promptly fails horribly, falling prone. Sen's readied attack hits red, as does Janebok's. This is wave TWO of your defense of the Stellar Flare. Round 1. Bold may go. Mind the slippery floor! And don't worry, they'll head into the grease soon. The brawler (red) doesn't like to use his gun. 1. Locket (delayed, -7)
First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! I'm happy to be back, and excited to be posting again. Gameplay for this game will begin tomorrow night, January 4. Uchurtai, as a fellow subject of domestic cat royalty, I'm so sorry. Chef Brian and Ebisu both send their tributes. After that, they plan on eating my offerings of food, then taking a nap.
Once again I want to check in with all of you. Obviously I have been busy to let this group go. I find that my household has six holiday event, 5 of which we are hosting! Three still to go. In addition to this, work is rather busy for me. My Mom is currently in the hospital, though I'm hopeful things will be sorted out tomorrow or the next day. WITH THAT IN MIND, I think I would like to propose a short pause here. Let's all come back here and do some heavy posting beginning January 2nd. I do apologize. I think my mind will be ready for more RPGing as December wanes. Alan
Zetara wrote: How are they seeing well enough to target... aren't there walls/debris in the way? I think the intention was to wait out of sight, and totally understand if I screwed that up by misreading the map, but would like to know where the hard corners and sightlines are and aren't, in case I can shoot back. Yellow had a pretty clear line to Locket's old location. See the line I left on the map showing this. Blue had a much more questionable line of sight on Sen, so of course she would have had a good cover bonus (also left a line indicating this shot). In the end, it wasn't a hit anyway. As far as debris, I am aware of the large barricades positioned as shown on the map. Though there are certainly very small bits of junk on the floor at other locations, it's nothing like cover or any sort of barrier--more like just a small bit of refuse on the floor. Zetara, at your current location you can't see any enemies, but if you move to Locket's old location (next to Sen), you could easily see blue and yellow.
will save: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 = 19 Nice try, but these guys are difficult to nail with mind affecting spells. The guard pauses for just a second, then furrows his brow and continues toward all of you, drawing a weapon. He also re-asserts control over his pet, who continues toward you (if you had charmed this guy, I may have allowed for the creature to similarly be tamed by the survival check). John takes his shot, which goes wide of the guard. Dr. Flint-Bridge doesn't see any other guards coming from the inside, so she pulls her pistol and attempts to ascertain the nature of this creature. This is known as a Wetzelt, and is a highly aggressive pet used by reptoids. You may ask four questions.

Sorry about being a little unreliable in my posting this week. I just got back from a work conference out of town.
Very nice, Pokotho. In this case, I don't care about the dice roll. What you're trying to do is reasonable. I will rule that both of these androids are affected--Dr. Flint-Bridge would have used a +2 bonus on her attack (it still wasn't enough). The next person to attack blue may take a +2 bonus. I'll rule that the excavator has 15' of reach. You can drive it, but it might be tricky. Bold may go, round 1! 1. Rar'gul

Howdy gang! Beginning Wednesday, I will be knee-deep in gaming at Gencon! I'll be otherwise occupied until Monday the 7th. I have a couple of cool things going down: on Wednesday, I'm speaking to other educators and librarians about gaming clubs for teens and adolescents at schools, libraries, etc. Starting on Thursday, you'll find me in the ballroom with Paizo helping to run their Academy program for kids and families. Please bot as needed. Hani is handy for taking damage, making engineering rolls, and occasionally hitting things.

Hani will spend a bit of time to rest with the others. One RP marked off. Following this, Hani will observe Zharis attempting to avoid this "pulse." He'll follow Zharis into the next room assuming Zharis can make it through. |
