I am ashamed of my inattention. Thanks! If enemy burns up from the icy flame, can I help Jin extinguish himself instead of attack ghost? I have a suitable biohack (thermo too): "If the creature is burning, it can immediately attempt a Reflex save with a +2 bonus to end the burning effect". I think that then he will have two saving throws - from my action and then his own. Does it work like that?

Ultra-hard snowballs smash into the wraith from Zharis' frostbite gun!

Zharis' attack hits, but only for half damage. Unlike some fiery creatures, pyric wraiths do not have special vulnerabilities to cold damage.

@Tulgram: The Blue wraith affected by your inhibitor was destroyed by your last attack with the capture pole. Red is the recently-appeared wraith.

Jin keeps up the pressure on the wraith while Xylian blasts it with ice!

But the wrathful apparition responds with flame, growing stronger as Jin and Hani burn!

Jin's second attack hit for half damage, and Xylian's attack hit for effectively a quarter damage. If this were SFS, there would have been conveniently a ghost killer fusion seal in the previous room :)

Hani realises that only careful teamwork will be enough to destroy this hate-filled apparition, and carefully moves around to its far side.

Botting Hani as doing two guarded steps so that Jin and Tulgram can easily step into flanking. Hani takes 4 F at the beginning of his turn, but then makes the Reflex save at the end of his turn so he's no longer on fire.

@Xylian:I think you have some way of negating cover penalties? It would matter in this instance, as the wraith's soft cover would turn a hit into a miss.

@Tulgram: Since you failed the save, at the start of your you would be on fire and immediately take 5 F. At the end of your turn, you could attempt another DC 14 Fort save to end the burning condition.

Each of Tulgram's attacks hit for half damage. Dicebot might be trolling us, but never look a gift horse in the mouth!

Xylian's attack hit for 1/4 damage. Good thing you brought extra batteries, or these long encounters could be a killer.

With two swings of his powerful doshko, Jin puts the fiery apparition out of its eternal misery!

Both of Jin's attacks hit, and together are enough to destroy the wraith. Good work! We are off Initiative, though Tulgram needs to make a DC 14 Fort save or take 2d4 more damage from fire before Xylian has a chance to use the fire extinguisher.

After the furious sounds of violence, the ancient corridors of Ezorod again fall into ominous silence . . .

I'll wait another 12 hours or so real-time to see, as Zharis mentioned, if anyone needs to rest or heal and then move on to a description of the next room.


Zharis continues carefully down the corridor. The cells along the wall contain only varying collections of soot and ash. Eventually the corridor turns to the left at a 90 degree angle.
