This is the enemy portion of the first round.


Another minotaur charged out of the doorway and turned right to come into contact with Sapphiria.
He then swung his great axe at her.
Great axe attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 for a possible 3d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) + 9 = 17 slashing damage.

A third minotaur came out and turned left, double moving around a pillar to come into contact with Kyra.

A fourth minotaur came out of the doorway and turned right. He waived his hands and called down an Unholy Blight on Sappiria, Keldon, Alorah and Thrall.
This will deal 8 points damage and sicken them 3 rounds to Good creatures (half and no sickened for neutrals). Will save DC14 to reduce it to half damage and no sickened.

Well, that was hardly nice.

Sadly, the trip that comes with Knave's bite is a free action, so it can only happen on his turn - it would have been a nice way to avoid the damage. I suppose, technically, Taedric could have tried to use Mounted Combat to have the mount dodge.

Ok, just so I don't post a bunch of useless things - Taedric and Knave are still up and mounted, correct? So they can full attack to try to do in the Fiendataur?

That means I'm flat-footed, so the minotaur with the axe hits exactly.

Will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Sapphiria is caught flat-footed, takes a hefty blow and then gets rocked by the magic as well, leaving her bloodied.

She counters with her own blade.

Sapphiria: Since both sides started combat alert and readied, no one is flat-footed at start of combat.

He almost froze at the sound of the bellows his mind instantly traveling back to that fateful moment in the keep where the undead minotaur killed him...The goddess had been with him then.. she would be with him now. Then the unholy wave washed over him and he immeadiately felt sick and unclean.
Seeing Sapphiria and Alorah almost in harms way he strode forward despite feeling like he was going to lose his lunch. He swung hard making sure he got its attention.

All of a sudden, Thrall and his teammates are surrounded by minotaurs! These are dangerous beasts, strong and big. Thrall shrugs off the attempt at cursing him and quickly closes in to start evening the odds.

Kyra, uncomfortable at the nearness of a rampaging half-demon minotaur, tumbled back out of reach of it. He got a swing off on her, but she beat him, just barely.
Safely out of reach of the enemy, she cast Mirror Images, and now there are eight of her.


NPC Grey

Grey tumbled in to attack the Minotaur closest to him, evading the AoO, but missing the strike.

Alorah quickly produces a scroll, reading off the powerful glyphs bound to the vellum to call forth an ally in the battle.
Cast Summon Monster 4 from scroll (CL7). Hound Archon (will appear in yellow dot space)

Taedric Starfell Both Knave and Taedric hit their AoOs as the Minotaur drove them back into the parapet walls.
Taedric Starfell on his turn struck Minotaur 1 twice with Radiance and Once with Knave, tripping him prone as he did. All told it was very serious damage; especially the holy damage.

Sapphiria Paix struck Minotaur 2 twice for moderate damage.

Kelden Sunblade strode forward despite feeling like he was going to lose his lunch. He swung hard making sure he got its attention. He managed to hit, then miss for light damage.

Thrall shrugs off the attempt at cursing him and quickly closes in to start evening the odds.
His Mythic Vital Strike completely cut Minotaur 2 in half, and it fell in a fountain of blood!

Minotaur 4 waived his hands and Darkness blacks out all light in the area.
Only those who have Darkvision can see normally. Those without can hear which squares their enemies are in, but have to make a 50% miss chance as they are invisible to you.

Meanwhile, Alorah takes careful aim, her eyes peering easily through the gloom as she takes careful aim, firing a cold iron bolt at the demon facing Grey that still misses in the chaos of the battle.

"Someone turns the lights back on!" he shouts, and then decides it's time to help from the rearguard while one of his allies finds a way to fix the problem.

He casts Prayer

That's right, prone Minotaur 1 stood up on his turn, so all the characters around him in reach are eligible to make AoO's on him.

Seeing the darkness erupt covering his friends he took a deep breath and began chanting out a spell... A brilliant flare of light, as bright as his beloved sun began to erupt out of his shield.. burning through the darkness.

"Your shadows can not hide you fiends... We walk in Sarenrae's light... and you cannot hide from our justice."

He called out.

so from my understanding of the spell Daylight counters all levels of darkness spell below it. Daylight is a third level spell, darkness is a 2nd level spell .. so darkness loses.

Kelden Sunblade casts the spell Daylight and the darkness is dispelled.

(npc) Grey backstabbed number 3 while he was down, killing him.

(npc) Sapphiria threw a javelin at the last minotaur, hitting him for moderate damage.

(npc) Kyra fired at the last minotaur, but missed badly.

The last Minotaur waived his hands and called down an Unholy Blight on Sappiria, Keldon, Alorah, Thrall and Kyra.
This will deal 10 points damage and sicken them 2 rounds to Good creatures (half and no sickened for neutrals). Will save DC14 to reduce it to half damage and no sickened.

The summoned Hound archon steps forward, pressing the attack with an overhand sword strike and a quick attempt an biting the demon, before finding a vulnerable spot with a low sword strike as the demon is caught, frozen by the brutality of Thrall's attack.
