sorry I thought I already posted this and I've been crazy busy at work the past few weeks "indeed I am, and I take it you are human? I've not met many of your kind until the past week or two"

He does indeed offer it, seeming somewhat bemused "I take it you are new here? My name is Lucas Svarog, I came here after my family... and well my species had to move off of the sun" he offers while trying to prompt her to say a little about herself

Lucas smiles "ah there's the trick of the question, the sim rooms, like most of the rooms here move around the school and don't have a specific location, moving based on... I'm not actually sure what. Regardless I can lead you to them anyway" he says before tapping his wand to the wall and producing arrows leading towards the room.

Moves about the school, looking here and there, but ultimately getting frustrated with no clear place to be. She is reminded of her encounter with Sadie, and moves to try to find where these "sim" rooms are. After a bit of searching, she decides to approach a student in the hall and ask for directions...

Since you apparently didn't have a specific student in mind, how about Lucas! Lucas was walking down the hall twirling a small metal rod, likely a wand in a similar method to how many bards twirled drumsticks when Helena approached him "hm? Yes. Can I help you?"

Lucas looks stricken "you!" He cuts himself off and punches the bridge of his nose "you have a point.... what can I do to help mend this wound brother."

I feel like Lucas is being unfairly maligned in this conversation hahaha.

“Would you accept simple curiosity?...... no? Fair enough. Sister dear is a tad miffed at me, I was going for a walk when I spotted you. If you were expecting some complicated diabolical ploy, I am sorry to disappoint you when no plan is forthcoming” he says with a mocking lit to his voice

"... and you wonder why I usually seek other company..” Lucas sighs

He chuckles "well isn't that just the pot calling the kettle black. Surrounded as I am by strangers, is it so strange that I find myself desiring a familiar face? any familiar face?"

Lucas tuts at the accusations "reading over your shoulder? From over here? You must think me incredibly rude, is it really so bad that I check up on my family?" he quips, not even trying to deny that he was evesdropping, it’s what he does.

Lucas leans against a tree in front of the path Phyrros was taking, twirling his wand in one hand idly, unclear as to how much he has heard, how much he had seen “exceeding our former heights of glory eh? Worthwhile goal if I’ve ever heard of one. Mind sharing how you plan to do that?”

Lucas blinks "sorry for assuming, if you don't mind my saying you seemed to have the sort of wide eyed innocence that didn't fit my preconceived notions of this place. What classes do you have?"

"I doubt that a "scary cult" could harm you here, even were it not for this place's reputation, anyone with eyes that can see can tell that this place has an astoundingly large variety of mutants and magical powerhouses" he taps the side of his head and his eyes flash yellow as he says "eyes that can see" before he continues, saying "have you signed up for classes yet? If not then I'd strongly recommend meditation and asking if there's a public speaking class"

"Thank you! I tried explaining that earlier, but I may not have been quite so...er....well, there were a lot more words involved and it may have been a little bit confusing," Lyzzie said with a shrug, embarrassed that she didn't know the right word to say.

after a somewhat several month long pause Lucas collects himself and responds, his voice charming and smooth, ignoring the newcomer who had either fallen silent or ended up being an illusion or something "Not to worry my dear, I've taken classes on public and private speaking from the tutors my parents hired. I'm told such is uncommon, so it's natural we would each have different skill sets, but if it's something you would like to learn how to do better, I'm sure there are pleanty of opportunities here, maybe you could take a creative writing or public speaking class or get one of the newly disenfranchised former nobility flocking the school to help you"

Lucas is also confused but doing a masterful job of not showing it

Maya frowns a bit, at being reminded of that.

"I have exceptionally good senses... sometimes I pick things up"

"the name is Lucas Svarog, though we aren't related to the chicken" he daintily sips his cup of oil and pauses for dramatic effect "though I can see how a sand monkey would get confused"

Lucas raises an eyebrow before pulling his sleeve and showing off his unnaturally hairless and perfectly tan arms.

Lucas seemed amused "As you may have heard, I am a Firebird. It being hot is considered to be an advantage. Likewise, I don't grow hair except for on my head"

glances up at Lucas.

"You dress very oddly."
she says bluntly.
"... But I see no problem with it. I do my best to sometimes take time to sit and dine, and possibly talk, with subjects. Even if they aren't mine."

this is her trying to be polite. and failing.

"Oh! Hi! Yes, please join us," Lyzzie said with a bright smile, grateful for the rescue from what had become a very awkward conversational pause. "I'm Lyzzie, and this is Maya. Maya's new here. I don't think she's even officially enrolled yet. And...you're obviously a firebird so I won't recommend the waffles, no matter how good I think they are."

Lucas sits "it is a pleasure to meet you Lyzzie, my name is Lucas Svarog, and as you correctly deduced I am a firebird, so your waffles are quite undercooked for my taste" he then turns to Maya "I don't see my own silk outfits to be uncommon, but I suppose that may be an artifact from my raising"

maya raises an eyebrow. She doesn't seem to have anything to say here.

Lucas walks up to the table with a pitcher of oil and some charcoal briquettes after not being able to find his family and noticing the amount of jewelry on the Pharoah "either of you mind if I sit here?"

Lucas has a lot of red and gold in his plumage

Asha laughed at Sil's antics as a raven, but when Lucas spoke to her she got quiet and took a step back. She shook her head and hoped he would get the hint already.

Too bad he didn't overhear her conversation with Silinrul, it would have explained a lot. :)

his hearing is good enough that he has blindsense 40 ft from it, whenever he bothers to emit the high pitch chirps. So he heard, he's pretending not to, because supernatural overhearing is rude

Lucas blinks at the sudden raven and looks back, finally spotting the girl and pointing "is this your bird?"

the latter part mostly was relating to how it seems a tad strange you'd assume the guy walking away was to blame

Silinrul wanders over to the cafeteria, and notices a young girl hiding in the corner of the ceiling, and young man with a large plate of food near. "Excuse miss, is this guy bothering you?"

I was imagining this happening on route to the cafeteria, and either way Lucas has given no indication he has even noticed her presence as he continues to walk

Lucas grumbles "shows me to try to be nice to people, what am I even going to do with all this extra food"

On her way to the cafeteria walks a somewhat familiar firebird snacking on a platter much too large for a single person.... wasn't that the platter he brought to her?

Lucas looks shocked as she falls over "woah, what's going on with her?"

Lucas actually looks offended "I don't want anything from you, the old system is gone, marrying into other families is pointless now, but if you want to shut out people trying to help you, I'll go" he grabs the platter of food he had brought for her

Lucas frowns "I apologize if I have done anything to offend you, I was merely trying to make sure you were alright." he bows to her "I am sorry for intruding"

I saw her? I'm reasonably sure you can search for a mental picture of a person
if I need a name I am reasonably sure I could make the know(nobility) roll

Lucas knocks on the door containing Asha and Fei "hello, Mis? Is this where you ended up after falling through the floor?"

Lucas follows the arrows to where he could find the woman who phased through the floor while carrying a platter of firebird food.

He raises an eyebrow "fine, don't tell me" he stands up "we'll talk later"

igni is right back to not looking away from his book.

"Seems like it."
he assumes the problem, whatever is is, is known and able to be dealt with by the staff.
"If you're worried, maybe tell a teacher. They Probobly already have something in place."

He frowns and strokes his chin. "I just might do that, but first I want to know something from you. What were you doing yesterday"

"Did she just...fall through the floor?... by accident?

Lucas sits down beside him "your room was the one I felt yesterday, wasn't it" despite the phrasing, his tone seems to indicate it wasn't a question
