With both of the foes before him ended and with little harm carried through to the party, Lorth allows the Dawnflower's searing might to fade from his scimitar as he shoulder's past the fallen dragon to support Bites.
Move to AN,19 - will likely eat an AoO on approach and attack.
Power Attacking Scimitar: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 1 = 20
Knowing that even with the cloak of shadow upon him, any attempt at stealth would be futile - Lorth instead welcomes the coming challenge, striding forthright and forwards, calling upon the Dawnflower as he does.
Move forward with no attempt at Stealth to AP,23.
Invoke Sacred Weapon for Holy on his scimitar
Invoke Sacred Armor (by using one Fervor) for additional +1 on his platemail.
Should still be invisible and ready attack against any dragon that moves into range.
Apologies guys - I'm travelling at the moment and my tablet + keyboard combo isn't helping with keeping track of the combat. If someone can run Lorth for 48 hours until I'm back near a desktop that'd be much appreciated.
Readying an Action: You can ready a standard action, a move action, a swift action, or a free action. To do so, specify the action you will take and the conditions under which you will take it. Then, anytime before your next action, you may take the readied action in response to that condition. The action occurs just before the action that triggers it. If the triggered action is part of another character's activities, you interrupt the other character. Assuming he is still capable of doing so, he continues his actions once you complete your readied action. Your initiative result changes. For the rest of the encounter, your initiative result is the count on which you took the readied action, and you act immediately ahead of the character whose action triggered your readied action.
Invisibility:
If the subject attacks directly, however, it immediately becomes visible along with all its gear. Spells such as bless that specifically affect allies but not foes are not attacks for this purpose, even when they include foes in their area
My read is that it'd become visible after the first attack - at which point the readied actions would fire and interrupt the action. After the readied actions are completed, the now visible character could complete the rest of his turn.
Lorth calls to mind the workings of his patron and readies a mighty devotion to unleash should the bone devil be seen again...
Readied action to cast searing light if he gets LoS on the bone devil.
Forging past the others, Lorth moves to engage the furthest hobgoblin slashing with his scimitar...
Move to R,29 and Attack
Power Attack Scimitar: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 14 + 1 = 16
Anyone who wants healing - just use my CLW wand and tell me how many charges
Lorth frowns at the plethora of torture devices on display, and his mind focuses upon the bone devil that appeared and left. They needed to be ready for it to return at any time.
Lorth's initiative was actually rolled in the first post (he got a 3), he just wasn't added to the initiative train then. It's either amusing or depressing that the reroll was actually worse than the first roll...
With little that he can do to act against the devil, Lorth withdraws into a defensive turtle stance.
The being of earth and stone fades away into the swirling elemental chaos from which it was called, service performed. Lorth regards the scene with grim vindication that beings of evil were felled.
Retrieving a stone from within his belongings Lorth proffers it "Risk the creature of stone... if they are just lowly devils then they should fall easily. If there is subterfuge... then it will not fall upon us."
Seeing that Tomkin remains in the fray, Lorth takes it upon himself to join it also. Surging into combat, he lays out with his scimitar...
Move action (50ft speed with haste) to nearest spawn, then attack:
Power Attack Furious Focus Scimitar: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 14 + 1 = 17 for 1d8 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 4 = 16
It's a miss, but I can't see the map at present - just move me straight south and into melee.
With knowledge that the halfling upon his steed is little worried by being surrounded... Lorth pauses to see his intent before committing his own hand.
Noting that the fired missiles of his companions nearby outweigh the javelins, Lorth holds his position and waits for the spawn to assault. The mounted crusader was more than able to extricate himself from harm... and if the beasts came forward Bofus might be more able to position himself for advantageous stabbitry.
Hold steady and ready an attack if they come forth.
Unwilling to wade into the miasma of black tentacles writhing before him, Lorth insteads positions himself upon it's periphery and readies himself to strike if needed.
Move to V,8 and ready a power attack if one draws next to him.
As the battlefield before him erupts into chaos Lorth assesses the need and salves Tirion's wounds...
CMW: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (1, 5) + 9 = 15
...before stepping forward to make a target of himself.
Lorth has a CLW with 44 charges at present - anyone is free to use that.
Lorth was personally happy with staying slightly down on HP total for the moment.
Lorth busies himself with first staunching his own wounds, before moving on to Mirrin...
Heal: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29 and 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Crowded by the press of bodies, Lorth slips past Mirrin to an open position and brings his sun-blessed scimitar into the fray...
Move to U,23 along the southern wall, then attack T,22
Power Attack Scimitar +2: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29 for 1d8 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 4 = 18
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16 for 1d8 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 4 = 18 extra
Sorry for the misaimed post - I can't get to the map as I'm at work.
If I can move somewhere to get LOS without taking an AoO - then please pick a spot for me.
Somewhat perturbed that a chance to further slay the servants of the enemy was snatched from him Lorth muses before answering "Scout the hall for the Northern door."
