Not a lot of options here...the halls are tight enough already, and tentacles really restricts it further - good tactic for crushing the enemy in the interim though!

Until they start fighting back, or actually harm us, might as well let the hobbit wipe them out. No reason to expend any resources if we can avoid it. I can easily dismiss the black tentacles as soon as we want to.

Tirion, Spellcraft is used to identify a spell if you can see it being cast. The DC is 15 +Spell Level. However, if you are trying to identify a spell effect that is in place, you want to use Knowledge, Arcana, and the DC is 20+Spell Level. In this case, you were not able to determine the spell. However, you do notice that the wall is very cold and appears to be made out of ice.

Bofus cringes at the beating Tomkin is taking, but knows that his friends will put the hurt down on this beastie--and if they do, he's going to try to teleport away again.

Tom sees the magic from the scroll dissipate with no effect, and decides to ignore his wounds and try to finish off the devil. Not wanting the devil to escape, Tom casts another Litany of Righteousness to augment the already considerable power of the divine mark he had put on the creature earlier in the day. The power of the litany was so intense and so sudden, Tomkin has considered it the most powerful magic a divine warrior could call upon. His glaive strikes repeatedly at the devil, the enchanted weapon augmented by a divine glow stronger than the sunlight.
