Lewis the Jabberwock's page

Lewis of course has spent all of his time with Tarka, dodging as many other people as possible. He's obtained a bad habit of chewing on electrical wires and shocking himself for fun. It doesn't seem to bother him. Of anything he's a little less afraid of things after he's gotten a good jolt.

The poor little Jabberwock is practically catatonic surrounded by all of these people.

He's managed to find a bench near the hospitality spread that has him mostly concealed and he's currently in the process of cowering under it.

But is it the side that makes you grow or shrink?

Does Tarka actually have anything other than Jabbey and her amulet?

Lewis isn't Growly.

Lewis stays with Tarka, glad they got the game that didn't mean more walking.

Lewis eats basically anything in front of him, not even to the exclusivity of napkins or placemats.
He does, however, growl if presented with knives of any kind.

"Oh..."
He relaxes.
"I knew that..."

Lewis continues to cower...

Lewis covers and covers the back of his neck with his paws when the thing lands on him.
"Pleasedon'tkillmeIhavetofindTarka!"
He stammers, shivering.

Lewis is somewhere in the temple, frantically trying to find where Tara teleported off to.
He worriedly mumbles strange half-language to himself as he looks.

Lewis bends his neck over upside down to look at Tarka on his back, hoping she'd direct him to which group.

I'm hoping the monks will provide a scene for that. I don't want to assume how they react.
I understand why he hasn't responded, though.

If you want, you could respond to Lewis' refusal to leave Tarka. :)

When the splitting up of the students occurs, Lewis will refuse to leave Tarka despite being of other gender.

Lewis looks at the benders, his head cocked sideways.
"Why are you all smooth?"

Lewis lands on the precipice used for take offs and landings.
He lowers himself, kicking up any leaves or dust the pad had accumulated. Once on the ground he flops down on it.
"Mmmuuuh. I'm hungry...."
Poor little guy hasn't flown this far at once before.

Lewis beats his wings hard and fast to keep up with the group.
He doesn't want to be retrograded again, but he doesn't want to slow down the group or ask for help either. He wants to prove that he can do stuff on his own.

I think people may have missed Lewis' post last page.
We can move on now, I think. At least once we set out, that is.

In his stance his growling has a funny canter to it and his mouth moves, almost like there are words he isn't putting breath to.
He doesn't seem to notice anyone talking until after Grim stands down.
He lowers his frilled lizard like stance.
He looks around.
"My head hurts... Bara bara..."
He shakes his head and bumps it gently on a rock a couple times.
"Are we leaving the warm place now?"

I try really hard to not be a Grammar Nazi, when I really want to most of the time, but I just have to say it this once.

Lewis immediately begins backing up with a low growl.
His eyes look more vertically narrowed and purple static electricity flits over him and onto the cavern floor.
His wings move up, blocking Tarka from sight.
He looks very much, and I cannot believe that I use this simile yet again a dog being approached by a threatening person.

Also be advised of ooc warning in gameplay.
Think of it, again, like going towards a protective dog next to their owner.

Lewis was already moving towards Tarka when she teleports onto him.
He lays down on his belly as they wait for other people to get ready to leave.
I will warn you that Lewis will now be very territorial of Tarka.

I allow you to return it.

Although, I need to make the startlingly accurate simile of this be like kicking a blind person's seeing eye dog because they bumped into you.

For future reference, AND THIS IS TO EVERYBODY(for all my characters) as long as you tell me when it is happening(even if it's in ooc text in the post you do it), and it's in character, feel free to "PvP" me whenever. It happens in character and I can deal with it in character. :)
This isn't the rule, but rather an exception for me and me alone.You should still ask other people.

Lewis seems to be particularly flinchy around Midori and Grim.

I was expecting Tarka to pop up with Lewis.
I had a plan for that. A funny one. :P

Lewis looks around to see if Tarka has just moved to a different part of the cavern.
Not seeing her, he goes back to the echo cavern.
Noticing she isn't there either, he looks around and see that no one is there.
He looks out to the cavern.

The small dragon gives a soft smile as he looks into deepest part of the cavern.

Lewis bristles much like a cat does when Tarka jumps him with a responsibility.
He looks left and right, trying to think of what to do when left alone.
He decides to gently pat her arm he stands next to, quickly retracting his paw when this prompts a small movement from Ephebe.

Lewis quietly mumbles something rhythmic as he and Tarka ride Ephebe towards the temple.

"Food?"
Lewis rolls over and looks around.
He happily eats pretty much anything before complying with Ephebe and Tarka's directions.

Pretty much all she needs to say is that there's food.

In a flash of purple light, Lewis's wings flare up drastically fast, casting off purple sparks. They remain there for a moment and then flop back down.
Looks like the tiny Jabberwock is dreaming.

Wait a sec.
Where is Lewis?
Is Ephebe carrying him?
Or did they leave him with the village people?
Heh... Village People...

Lewis remains semiconscious in his twisted position next to Ephebe.

Lewis makes that noise kids do when they don't want to get out of bed in the morning and flops over into a different pretzel.

Lewis is flopped over on the ground in a tangle of limbs that may or may not be possible, but looks exceedingly uncomfortable either way.

Well this really wasn't the intended use for retrograde. In this case, it was still healing him, but that doesn't mean he isn't expending the energy to do this. This isn't pain or anything, just the fact that he has no more calories in his body left after it was over. Near the end of that, he was running on adrenaline and the feeling retrograde gave him.
Does that make sense?
Conservation of Mass/Energy and all that?

Despite the retrograde fueling his flight while he worked as hard as possible, he didn't know that he was still using energy to do so.
"HA HA HA ha ha..."
Seconds after the spell fades he passes out and both Tarka and Lewis fall to Ephebe waiting below them.

What happens when it's gone?...

Blurple is the combination of black and purple that Lewis is.

"THE BLUE IS ORANGE!!! TREES ARE GREEN!!! OWLS ARE WHITE!!! AND I'M BLURPLE!!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!!!
Lewis is continuing to duck and dive, pumping his wings as much as he can, to further this euphoric feeling he gets when he works his body as hard as he can.
I'm starting to think that with working out his wings and healing them at the same time, Lewis's movement should be faster after this. O_o

"No! No! It's OK! Ah ha ha ha ha! It's ♪OK♪ AHA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"
He laughs and sings almost manicly as he swoops and dives, driving himself to what would be his breaking point, but is now driving him to be faster and stronger.

"Did *huf* the voice *huf* give you *huf* a magic *huf* that *huf* makes this hurt less!?"

Lewis is beating his wings hard and strong to keep up with the much larger owls.

Lewis carries Tarka.
