Sara and Bee
Sara is there. It's your go in their conversation.
Ephebe /got/ teleported away. Not her choice.
The demon is looking for Tarka and not really doing anything else.
I don't see why we can't do the ceremony. I have a thing planned for after Sara's adopted officially. Ephebe's the only one that's gone.
Damiani
The champion shenanigans have nothing to do with the ceremony...and Lang is unaware of them, as it were.
You could just write up a scene about the ceremony. Ask for the other attendees' input and just write the scene. That would make more sense than cancelling the ceremony after all the trouble to get people there.
Just my 2 cents.
I'm with Kryzbyn-- you're allowing OOC 'facts' cloud the IC experience, which sucks.
Continue with your scene, if people ICly miss it, so be it. You cannot have 100% commitment on any kind of 'free forum' post setting, truth be told, especially with all the teleporting shennaigans that this one has.
Or other stuff.
More creative, less control. Let the spirit flow!
/2 cents.

ok so its just Sara and Midori then?
can't quite figure out Grim right now.
I think Tarka is being summoned to leave (that is what the demon messenger is doing?)
I take a Hiatus for a bit to clear my thoughts...and this game is the only one that I got totally lost.

I think most of the questions have been answered already, but quick synopsis of the scenes for Lang just to make sure that everything is clear:
Ephebe was teleported away forcibly by her Patron. Krays showed up briefly to sort out what was going on and got one of the monks to agree to supervise the children for the rest of the ceremony. Lang and Sara are with the Owls and have been talking. I think Midori was with them but is now on her way back to the main building where the others are. pretty sure she was talking to Sun while they walked. Grim, Lewis, and Tarka were all still back in the main area. An aschen appeared looking for Tarka. It's been sent to borrow something from her. It will be a short interaction, no doubt finished by the time Lang and Sara are done with their thing.
Basically Ephebe is the only one missing the ceremony, and I would strongly suggest having the ceremony itself start as soon as the current interaction between Lang and Sara is over. It's about the right time for it,
As far as Melody is concerned, we are kinda in a building scene/holding pattern at the moment. Let me know when you're ready to move forward with trying to close the rift. But it's fine to let it sit for a bit while you're catching up on other stuff, since that reflects the time it takes for them to put the machine together and finish calculations.
Anyways, hope that helps you get back up to speed. I know it can be confusing sometimes when playing in a game that has multiple simultaneous storylines.

Also, I am a bit stuck in the scene with Grim and Tarka at the moment. I know Tarka is on the roof, but until she either responds to the aschen's yelling or until Grimi says hey, she's up here on the roof, the aschen continues to walk around yelling for Tarka. At least unless he gets attacked by paranoid air benders. :P

Oooo... I could do that. :D
Lewis the Jabberwock
Does Tarka actually have anything other than Jabbey and her amulet?
Lewis the Jabberwock
But is it the side that makes you grow or shrink?
Damiani
Lyn, you can include One of these with a stopper from the champion of freedom, if you like. :)
I doubt it's likely that a Champion of Freedom would knowingly put a 'stopper' on anything!

Ephebe wrote:..."The Champion of Life was uncooperative..."Elsewhere, on the Plane of Legal Matters...
It stood in it's suit, with full indicator of style and wealth-- someone dressed to impress, out of honor for the role, and the location, if nothing else, and certainly not for personal reasons no matter HOW comfy the clothing was.Visual Aids (Sorta)
After hearing the disparaging comments towards his Client's character, it rose and said with an arm pointed sternly forward, two fingers making the point of his hand, "Objection! Your Honor, this is clearly libel. My Client WAS not uncooperative, in fact, she even extended an offer to help with conditions were different. I strike this base description be struck from the records!"
It stood there for a moment more, and then sat... as the scene faded away.
a firebird with perfectly styled hair and a suit denoting class and regality slams both hands on his desk and shouts out "OBJECTION! No statement was ever printed or published, all statements made about the defendant was strictly verbal, and thus was not lible!"

Someone leans in near the firebird and says, "But it's all posted on forums! That's written. Get it? Libel. Cause OOC and all that -- not IC."

I have a whole hour free!
.....and not a single scene to update. :P
Oh well.
.....no, wait. I think I have one. I can have Sil's bird? It was a bird wasn't it? It can actually find Jaiye. That's about it though. Everything else is waiting on others as far as I know.

Lyn: pm sent regarding infernal politics, one of your students, and to a lesser extent, the Aschen
Will respond later. Grocery shopping day. Ugh. Must go fetch food items....but why does it always have to be such an ordeal?!
Anyhow, when I do get back I would love to be able to move forward on some scenes.
The demon fighting scene with Jeran and Dave is waiting on Vare. Pretty sure Jeran's last post was asking Vare what to do against this thing. Unless it got eaten. But I really thought that one went through.
And who is playing the psionics professor? I'm thinking it was Nix. Is that correct? If so, he's getting paged by the infirmary. With Phaezeriel and Nala both out they don't have anyone else to turn to in order to deal with the latest incoming patient with psychic trauma.
Not quite sure where we're at with the Balance resurrection scene, but I'm planning to post some Aurix shenanigans soon. And I really need to figure out what Veesha is doing....hmmm.
lynora
Oh, and there are at least three people/groups waiting to see the Headmaster. Jessa, the void creatures being led to the office by Vickory, and Miss Jones. The last one can wait. But at some point she does deem it necessary to inform her employer that there are certain problems threatening to get out of hand..... :)
Professor Nix

I am the psionics professor, yes. What is the problem?
sorry .. I completely missed another psychic trauma.

Raelle was taken to the infirmary unconscious after some serious overchanneling. And now Ardiente is looking worried while Tami is badgering the nurse to get someone here to help. :)

Ace is waiting for Jai, or more likely Ty, to reply to his big list of possible suspects.

As Jaiye was listening to Ace sum up the list so far, a raven flew into the room and landed near her, cawing expectantly.
"Uhhh.....does anyone here speak bird?"
That was Jaiye's last post. So basically one of your characters interrupted your other character with a raven playing Lassie. :P
"Ace"
That's why I said, 'more likely Ty'. :p
I knew Jai was distracted by Huninn

If a dead persons clearance isn't revoked, then security isn't doing their job very well. Just saying.
:)
Depends on the type of security and what it's guarding. (Also helps if your parent is both highly sentimental and the former emperor....)
