Because I thought it fit.
It's partly to show just how bad off Tanuki are without their luck. Most more powerful Tanuki are very bad off without it, because they rely on it so much.
Not everything is a 100% conversion of stories to game stuff. A lot of it just takes the stories as inspiration.
Also, not just a female form. A form that is not male or an item.
They can choose mist or whatever else, but most don't because of that.

Just a re-post, but:
I've decided on my first NPC:
He will be an Alchemist, of decent level, who will run a tavern and sort of serve as therapist and a healer as well. Worshiper of Cayden Cailean. His potions and such that he gives out will often be quite tasty.
His name? Dr Brown
Sounds like the tavern should make a good place for kids to go once Kuros is rebuilt enough for that kind of thing. :)

I meant spell wise. While I can Lay on Hands, I am unsure if I can add Mercies. Would be up to Lyn. My suggestion would be I could as a Paladin equal to my Chameleon levels, or 10th. Except instead of adding all the Mercies known, I would just be able to pick one from the 9th and under lists and apply it.
Dragonborn3 |
With task shaper yes, but not the chameleon prestige class, which let's him pretend to be a class from the core book, just not as strong as any of them.

I don't know, "do this or I crush you"
Is better then what you get from most demon cults.
Usually they just try and kill you right off the bat.

Hey, Dami, you might have missed it if you were not keeping up with the discussion thread, but there's a new thing where everyone needs to post an acknowledgement here that they've read and understand the Code of Conduct on the Campaign Info Page. First tab. Please and thank you. :)
Damiani |
Player Code of Conduct:
It's not really that complicated.
1. Be excellent to each other
2. Be excellent to each other
3. I really mean the first two.
On a more serious note, I do expect that players in this game will treat each other with courtesy at all times. Cooperation and compromise are essential ingredients to any successful human interactions, and a game is no exception. It's better to have fun with friends than be right all by yourself. I know that everyone won't always get along, and everyone has a bad day now and then. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect effort. If a conflict arises, keep it civil. Much like the PvP rules, if it's escalating ask for the discussion to be paused until a GM can weigh in. Inside the game, remember to be courteous to your fellow players as well by keeping in mind things like not assuming other people's actions/reactions for them and keeping in-character conflict from bleeding over into out-of-character interactions. There will be times when a player breaks the code of conduct in some way. People make mistakes, bad days happen, and I understand. This is why I employ a three strikes rule. If someone is engaging in a problem behavior I will give them a warning (privately via PM because I don't want to make it a spectacle or embarrass anyone in front of their peers). If that same behavior is repeated it will be met with a stronger warning and a reminder that there are limits and they are at them. If the behavior is repeated again I can only conclude that the person is not going to change the problem behavior and I will ask them to leave. I do not enjoy asking anyone to leave the game, but I will not sacrifice the enjoyment of everyone for any one person.
Given that this is effectively Paizo's stance on 'agreed use of their forums', it's kind of a no brainer to agree too here as well. Golden Rule in life and all that, on top of it all.
Seeing as there appears to be a documented need to state read and agreed, and I got pointed to this in a private message, apologies for letting this slip.
Here's the official:
I've read the recently posted Player Code of Conduct.
I'm stating my understanding of such posted Player Code of Conduct.
I'm stating my acceptance and adherence to such. Go go excellence.
Hopefully this straightens out anyone's disarranged garments, of any sort, if such existed for my not posting in a timely fashion while trying to continue my creative efforts for players here.
:)
Salam and all that!

Replied, or formed a reply, while you were in posts.
Please advise if that's not sufficient.

If I don't know if someone's agreed to the Code, should I just PM you to clarify or ignore them until I see a clear post indicating they did in Discussion?

Just send a PM. I'm keeping track of who has and hasn't yet acknowledged the CoC so I will be able to tell you if they have or direct my request to them to do so posthaste. :)
The Dalesman |
Celestial Knight, there has been a big overhaul on the Campaign Info page, most specifically a new Code of Conduct (under the first tab).
Everyone needs to read that ASAP, then post their acknowledgement here that they've read and understand everything spelled out there.
Thanks!

Since the question was brought up to me, I would like to clarify here to avoid any future misunderstandings. Dalesman and DB3 are not ignoring the CoC post requirement. They don't need to post it because they helped write the CoC and are GMs for this game. Obviously I'm the main GM and I'm the one whose name is listed. But this game is too big for any one person to handle completely alone. These guys helped build the setting and they were a big part of the recent restructuring too. They are the only ones besides myself who have GM authority here.
Now, as I've said before, everyone here is responsible for the story. We all run story arcs for each other. That's not what being a GM is about here. It's about mediating disputes, talking to people when they violate the CoC, keeping up with the bookkeeping, approving new characters, and coordinating story arcs so they don't conflict or overlap in a bad way. I still take care of a lot of that myself, but need some help sometimes. Because I really can't be everywhere at once. :)

Both Mel and I require Lynora answers, whenever you have time.
Also Lyn I'm about to PM you. It is kinda important and pertains to both Ginni and FCD.
Grim Jr. |
This is normally a gestalt and to my knowledge we aren't accepting new players at the moment, but you might just be the first exception, or that may have ended, I don't know
@magic:prior to today grim has been subject to exactly one prank. It resulted in the death of his sister, which resulted in him absorbing much of her powers, awakening his own all at once and going berserk and destroying about a third of Halloween town, and it was only that little because of the intervention of his dad, Dan Phantom, and The mayor of haloween town
Needless to say three of the first four people with their souls ripped out were the people shouting "it was only supposed to be a little prank"
With your permission I'd like to return the prank, unfortunately Louis is simply an easier target.

Open recruitment is still closed, but Yuugasa is here at my invitation. And yes, the other GMs know about it. :)
Also I've already approved the character and he's currently leaving half his gestalt open for future advancement. That happens sometimes, not so weird.
Death_Keeper |
Hello folks! I will be joining the game and I just wanted to introduce myself.
I have read and accepted the Code of Conduct, I hear and obey!
How y'all doing tonight?
Hello Yuugasa
I will refer to your character as 'Kai'
*Twists the dagger in Melody's heartstrings just a little*
:D I love being evil
Lewis the Jabberwock |
I allow you to return it.
Although, I need to make the startlingly accurate simile of this be like kicking a blind person's seeing eye dog because they bumped into you.
For future reference, AND THIS IS TO EVERYBODY(for all my characters) as long as you tell me when it is happening(even if it's in ooc text in the post you do it), and it's in character, feel free to "PvP" me whenever. It happens in character and I can deal with it in character. :)
This isn't the rule, but rather an exception for me and me alone. You should still ask other people.

Ok cool. The unlimited wish thing is why I questioned it.
Welcome Yuugasa!

cool, he'll keep it roughly on the same level as tomato in your eye/hair, at least from his point of view
He just needs to have pranks explainedLewis the Jabberwock |
Also be advised of ooc warning in gameplay.
Think of it, again, like going towards a protective dog next to their owner.
