I suspect the return of prophecy heralds the return of Aroden. Perhaps the gods should tremble with terror at these words?

Is there an official place for us to begin submitting notes for potential errata? My group and I are finding little things that need to be fixed in the PDFs we received today.

So, the same way you are going to increase the price due to rising "economic factor"; if that factor goes down in the future, you will reduce the prices too... right?

That's a fair question, but to be realistic, I don't think we're ever going to see those factors reduce.

"Paizo is not immune to economic factors like inflation, nor industry-wide fluctuations in cost-of-goods, labor, or shipping and logistics, and we must periodically adjust our prices to reflect rising costs"

That explains the increase in digital and print products going forward, which I completely understand.

What that doesn't explain is why the prices of digital products whose production was already completed, in many cases years ago, are also increasing. I'm a developer who works on programs that serve up newly created digital data and also supply old data to customers, which no longer has the production costs associated. I am aware of the difference in costs to support those two types of operations. There is more to that decision than what is being presented in this blog. That's what I am hoping to learn with my question.

I understand the need to increase the prices of new products going forward. No concerns there. I'm also happy to see Paizo embracing more sustainable sources for print products, that's awesome.

What I don't understand is the need to increase the prices of digital products already available. Could you explain that further?

Okay, I am good with this. I look forward to the minor changes and reorganization. I am completely cool with dropping alignment from the game.

Congrats on your retirement! Thank you for all the incredible games and products you have contributed to. This world would not be as bright a place as it is without you. :)

As an on-ramp for D&D 5E players into the goodness that is Paizo, I support this idea even if I won't buy the product. I don't play 5E but I welcome 5E players looking to check something new out. Add more books to their shelves, spread their wings, and whatnot.

Both of these sound like a lot of fun.

Of course, this bums me out but I completely respect any company's decision to prioritize safety over attending a con. I knew this year's Gencon was going to be a diminished version of previous years and that is okay. It is expected given any reasonable amount of consideration, imho. Just my two cents.

I think this is a great idea, personally. I have wanted standalone adventures for Starfinder since the beginning and the APs come so fast, I had no idea when I was going to play them all. The solution you've outlined here is smart, imho.

The title says it all. I love the Brenneri!

And if they are not legal, when will they become a legal option. Nothing else matters to me at this point.

:)

Anyone working on form-fillable versions yet?

Agreed. As a fellow techie who also had a similar week, I sympathize. :)

I see both sides of the discussion.

Are there any spells, gear, or augmentations which boost stats by an odd amount? If so, I think those would give the odd theme bonus a little more weight (potentially).

On a hypothetic side note, would you consider bumping the bonus to +2? I don't see many folks being against that idea but I thought I would toss it out. Obviously, not for Society play.

It doesn't seem all that vague, nebulous, or arbitrary to me. In fact, it seems very straight to the point.

Good for you Paizo, supporting the FLGS like this!

I'm not really excited by this at all. I already have plenty of great Sci-Fi games to play and "Pathfinder in SPACE" doesn't sound all that great to me. I just hope this doesn't harm the core product which I love. Maybe I will change my mind as we see more previews, but only time will tell.

Best of luck to you Paizo! And I hope everyone enjoys the new game. :)

D&D Next has Encounters, but no "living campaign" organized play in sight yet as far as I know. That alone will keep me engaged with Pathfinder, and that is not even the only reason to stick around.

My compliments Pedro, this is an excellent scenario. I ran it this morning at my FLGS and the players had a great time with it.

Rapanuii, I think you are wasting time and energy at this point. My suggestion would be to stop spinning wheels here and take your GM out to lunch. Have a friendly conversation using what little you have gleaned here, and politely ask him to reconsider his ruling.

If he does, great, because only he can give you what you are trying to drag out of this community (it is painfully obvious no one here can give you what you are asking for). If he doesn't, elevate it to the VC, or bite the bullet and move on. Those really are your choices, even if you don't like them.
