I share many of your sentiments, IHIYC, so you're not alone. Recognizing a growing personal sense of disconnectedness from the game and its evolving community, I tendered my resignation as VC a year ago, scaling back my involvement and participation, especially in F2F play and cons.

I continue to enjoy GMing and playing 1E with some friends I've met here in the Flaxseed Lodge, and I'm grateful for their fellowship.

I wish the community all the best, as it goes its way, and I go mine, with no hard feelings or regrets.

Friends, I’m thinking about GMing an Adventure Path, probably Kingmaker or Curse of the Crimson Throne.
Would you be interested, and if so, which AP is most appealing to you?

I'm in a great group that's been playing the Hell's Rebels AP for just over two years.

We're playing it in campaign-mode, level 7 now, and well into the third book, #99: Dance of the Damned.

It's a lot of fun, with a great GM and terrific players.

Hi, friends!

We've lost contact with our GM for [GAMEDAY VIII] [PFS1] #10-19: Corpses in Kalsgard. It's been over week with no posts and no response to a PM.

We're looking one of you great GMs to take over. We'd only just started.

Thanks,

Anybody willing to trade a 'Debt to Society' boon for a Ganzi race boon?

Need to raise my aquatic elf from the dead, after he was eaten by a shark in Plunder & Peril.

Please PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Earned and well-deserved!

I've found a different table, GM.

I deleted my info from the sign-up sheet.

Is there a separate Gameplay thread for #10-20 Countdown to Round Mountain (Tiers 7-11)?

Or should I 'ninja-dot' in on this page's Gameplay thread to add the campaign?

Thanks.

Hi, Pathfinders! Looks like I'll be joining you for #10-20 Countdown to Round Mountain (Tiers 7-11) during PbP Gameday VIII. What subtier are you planning to play? Does the party need me to fill a particular gap in the team's roles?

In the lower subtier, I've got a few options.
Slick, elf Magus (bladebound, hexcrafter)-7
Mudbone, half-orc Skald (fated champion)-7
Jake Spade, tiefling Swashbuckler (inspired blade)-1/Investigator (empiricist)-6
Red Devlin, tiefling Witch-8
Oberon della Strega, elf Evoker (admixture)-8

Out-of-Tier, I've got one.
Glen Fiddich, half-elf Inquisitor-9

In the higher subtier, I've got two.
Rico, aasimar Paladin-11
Mack 'the Knife', human Fighter (lore warden)-7/Unchained Rogue-4

Really looking forward to this!
Larry

GM AndrewW had posted earlier that he's willing to consider running both a low- and a high-tier table. I should hear back from a couple of low-tier candidates in the next couple of days.

Grand Lodge

I reached out to a couple of friends who have PCs in the lower subtier. I'll let you know what they say.

Grand Lodge

How viable are we looking, GM AndrewW, for a table for players in the levels 12-15 range?

Looks like Abraham Z., Géatan Émond, and I are available, I think.

I'm ready to 'ninja-dot' in, whenever you're ready.

Grand Lodge

Thanks, GM Amsheagar, but I'm going to sit tight with GM AndrewW and hope that a table for Level-13 or -14 PCs comes together.

Grand Lodge

This people wants it!

Grand Lodge

I can play a level-13 bard if we play the lower subtier. My level-14 pala-bard is my highest level PC.

Grand Lodge

Cool. That's what I thought, so I moved my entry down to the next section of your sign-up sheet.

I don't think it's technically official until the 12th, because I've already signed up for the 1 slot available to PbP Gameday VIII GMs.

Are you running this at Gen Con? I've attended the last three years, but I'm skipping it this year.

Grand Lodge

Followed your link, and I see you've already got six folks interested. I'll add info for my level-14 pala-bard.

Re Roll20, I've used it once before, as a player, for Eyes of the Ten.

Thanks,
Larry

No pressure felt.

Krieger's got some decent melee chops and face skills in his social guise. Seems like a good complement to what's being considered so far.

Grand Lodge

Small world, Gervase!

With all this talk of serious Pathfinders, I'm feeling a little contrarian. Perhaps something whimsical to lighten the mood?

Actually, Mishka Krieger, my level-4 Vigilante (Avenger) might be a good fit. He's very serious.

Grand Lodge

There are more important things to obsess over Like opinions, everybody has one Jack-of-all-trades, master of some

Jim, do you have a preference on subtler?

If we play in the lower subtier, I'd like to play one of the following:

Mishka Krieger - NG Kellid-Tian Male Vigilante (Avenger)-3
Ripley the Grippli - Alchemist (Grenadier)-4
Santiago del Fuego - NG Male Ifrit Urban Barbarian-2/Dawnflower Dervish-2

If we play in the higher subtier, I'd like to play one of the following:

Skye, Shaman of the Lyrune-Quah, CG Human Male Shaman-6
Tomás Telvurin N Dhampir Male Vigilante (Warlock)-5/Medium-1
"Long" Beau LG male aasimar cleric of Erastil-7
Slick NG Snowcaster Elf Male Bladebound Hexcrafter Magus-7
Thorne "Mudbone" Frallino NG Male Half-Orc Skald (Fated Champion)-6

Finally, my out-of-tier option is:
Mick von Jaeger - NG Male Human Brawler (Wild Child) 1/Hunter 4

Grand Lodge

Aw, man, spoiler alert! ;-)

I'd be happy to switch from McKieg to Gitano, if Luurg is an effective tank.

Gitano is a rapier-wielding front-line skirmisher, party face, and a modest skill monkey.

Grand Lodge

There are more important things to obsess over Like opinions, everybody has one Jack-of-all-trades, master of some

McKieg is a decent tank in full plate and with a dwarven longaxe. Not much of a healer, though.

I'll plan to go with him, unless the party composition changes.

Grand Lodge

There are more important things to obsess over Like opinions, everybody has one Jack-of-all-trades, master of some

The inspiration for the shaman Skye was Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

He's mostly a support guy with decent diplomacy. Hexes are fun, too.

Grand Lodge

There are more important things to obsess over Like opinions, everybody has one Jack-of-all-trades, master of some

I have several PCs levels 5-7.
Gitano Frallino, a human bard (archaeologist) 3/investigator (sleuth) 1/swashbuckler (inspired blade) 1.
Skye, Shaman of the Lyrune-Quah, human (Jadwiga) shaman 5.
Conal Angus McKieg, dwarf warpriest of Yuelral 5.
My preference would be to play one of those three. Love them all.

Grand Lodge

Thanks, Monkey Fish, for the swift, articulate response and the recommendations.

Grand Lodge

Got a PFS player who wants to play an elf oracle, combining the archetypes Lorekeeper, Dual-Cursed, and Pei Zin Practitioner, going with the Life mystery. Seems like some of them modify the same class features.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

GM Ladile,

Thanks for the invitation to this party!

Thinking about a vine leshy vigilante, a kind of zealous Avenging Captain Planet, fighting Golarion climate change and the multinational alchemical conglomerates, as well as sadistic hate groups like vegans and other so-called vegetarians.

I'll give it some more thought and get back to you.

I haven't peeked at the Hell's Rebels Special Instructions & Chronicle Sheets download, so there might be special rules for that adventure that overrule the guidelines in the PFS Roleplaying Guild Guide on p. 7:

Quote:

You can apply credit from a higher-tier adventure to a

1st-level Roleplaying Guild character. When doing so,
reduce the gp reward to 500 gp if the adventure grants
1 XP or 1,398 gp if it grants 3 XP. You do not benefit
from any boons until your Roleplaying Guild character
reaches the minimum level listed on the Chronicle
sheet, unless otherwise noted.

That's what I was hoping to do with the PC I bring to this adventure. Is that a possibility?

I'm waiting to dot into the Gameplay thread until I can select a PC. Sorry for the delay I'm causing.

Grand Lodge

I've got a naiad sorcerer (wild blooded-sylvan) or an aasimar "something" (probably a paladin/oracle). I'm hoping to apply the Chronicle from Hell's Rebels to the PC to make one of the two level 2. Could we wait to start until we get that Chronicle from GM Red?

I had the good fortune of participating with Hmm, Gary Peppers, Linda Zayas-Palmer and some other fine folks in the Getting into the World of Play-by-Post workshop at PaizoCon.

I put together a show-and-tell handout of slides that interested players and GMs could take away with them. If you're interested or think they might be of use, you can check them out here.

I echo the sentiments of the other players and add my thanks for answering my request to run this mini-campaign arc. You're one of the top GMs out there, GM Ladile! Nobody delivers a story better, and all your extra time and effort takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary.

A sound plan.

In an AP, in can be nice to look for ways of foreshadowing. Sometimes the forums have suggestions for ways to achieve that. I’ve avoided looking at any, because I like she surprise a healthy level of ignorant bliss affords the roleplayer.
