Hi everyone, after a bit of a respite I am back and now recruiting for all three parts of the Destiny of the Sands trilogy. For this arc, I am only recruiting Pathfinders of the Scarab Sages faction. Also, please sign up for a character you intend to take through all three adventures. The adventures and their respective tiers are listed below for character planning purposes:
Destiny of the Sands, Part 1: A Bitter Bargain (Tier 1-5)
Destiny of the Sands, Part 2: Race to Seeker's Folly (Tier 1-5)
Destiny of the Sands, Part 3: Sanctum of the Sages (Tier 3-7)
Using a pregen for part 3 if your character will not be in tier is acceptable.
Please see my profile for the usual posting expectations.
Please sign up here. A lottery will be run in 24 hours to determine the seats.

Three wizards and a druid walk into a secluded monastery. No, it's not the start of a joke, it's the current status of my OutPost CORE Test of Tar Kuata game. If you would like to help convince the monks that the Pathfinder Society doesn't rely *entirely* on animals for protection, sign up HERE (line 12). Game starts March 5th.

The Night March of Kalkamedes CORE game will be starting Feb 2. (low tier) Please apply at the accompanying link. Steady posting expected.
thx.

As much as I want to play Salvation of the Sages with my Scarab Sages wizard it doesn't look like it is happening.
But you have enough wizards so I joined with my monk.
1 spot left.

There is also a Classic Test of Tar Kuata game with slots open see line 60 one the OutPost {link}

Lord (and if rumour is true, soon to be Venture Captain) Vrald Sehir of Taldor strides into the lounge area. His voice, in very correctly pronounced Taldane echoes around the room.
"The following pathfinders are called to urgently attend Aram Zey. Make haste, he has little time for dawdlers."
Looking down at the scroll in front of him he calls each name, once and once only.
"Igor of Caliphas; Durlo Deadshield; Robyyn; Kett; Kenza Bloodborn; Hoprah." he pauses for a moment and then adds "Marjim Marc Arafiles.. odd sort of a name if you ask me."
Classic run of Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment awaits you. There are seven of you, so if someone doesn't turn up, that makes life easier for me :-)
Great Green God; Dystopiandream; Zin Z'arin; DM Livgin; meloriel, Abraham Z; and Marjim Marc Arafiles - your link is above!

A wisp of smoke floats into the room from the lustily roaring fireplace and dances among the rafters observing the room for a few moments before gently floating down to the middle of the common room to take the darkly shadowed shape of a humanoid with blazing eyes of fire.
It's voice echoes through the room, its deep timbre almost vibrating the plates and glasses.
"Pirates! Lost Treasure! Murky and dank jungles crawling with all manner of creatures and cascading rivers full of gods only know what!!" the voice calls out. "All this and much more shall be found if you follow me! The pirate Black Marquis of Deadbridge has requested our assistance in locating some booty and his wayward pirates in exchange for an ancient lost text. Follow me if you think you have what it takes to brave such a trial!"
With this final declaration, the fiery apparition strides through the crowd and, for once, exits the tap room normally.
Recruiting for my Outpost game of Perils of the Pirate Pact. Sign up on line 40 for this tier 1-5 scenario

A cranky-looking mephit, slime dripping from its wings and the tip of its nose, makes its squelchy way across the floor of the Flaxseed Lodge, leaving an unpleasant trail of glistening mucus behind it. It slaps a sodden parchment against the wall, the paper so sticky with slime it just stays where it is. The ooze mephit gestures at the parchment and says, "One! Only one signed up! Do you have any idea how much trouble I'll be in if there's not more at the table when things get started? If only one goes into that museum, he's sure not comin' out!"
My table for Voice in the Void, a well-loved tale of strange sounds and missing watchmen in the basement of the Blakros Museum, has one intrepid player signed up, and more would be welcome! Here is the sign-up sheet. The game is for levels 3-7, and is conveniently located on line 42 of the linked sheet.

Two Week Reminder
Player recruitment is officially open for Solstice Scar B. Session 1 will start March 5 and be part of the OutPost convention. Session 2 starts May 7, and will not be part of any convention.
Players (not GMs) may join only one game total, and are only allowed to play in session 2 if NOT attending PaizoCon. So if you are attending the live convention, make sure to register for session 1 of SSB.
Lastly, you are not only allowed to play SSB with the same character that you played SSA--it is actually encouraged.
Seats currently available for Session 2
- 1-2 core (3)
- 3-4 core (1)
- 5-6 core (5)
- 1-2 regular (6)
- 5-6 regular (1)
NOTE: Pending approval by your table GM, I am removing the PaizoCon restriction from session 2. However, you still MUST speak with your GM first. They need to know how many players might need to be botted during PaizoCon, and to make sure that they can handle it.
Edit: Link for session 1.

Still two spots left in the Destiny of the Sands Trilogy if anyone wants in. Please post in discussion if you would like to join.

I think you mean 'outbreak' or 'owlpost' or something. I think.
Lastly, you are not only allowed to play SSB with the same character that you played SSA--it is actually encouraged.
So to be clear, again, which it is it? The grammar is not clear. I'm not even a grammar fascist, but I really have trouble parsing that sentence. Is 'it' we are encouraged not to play the same character as we played for Solstice Scar A, or is 'it' that we are encouraged to play the same character that we played for Solstice Scar A. I know the answer because I love Abbott and Costello, and have played before, but it might be made clearer for the folks at home if it read more like:
Society players who have participated in Solstice Scar A are welcome to play Solstice Scar B with the character they played A with or any other legal Pathfinder Society character they wish. A single character who finishes both scenarios can expect greater rewards for completing this second installment. Maybe even a 2018 Lexus LC 500.
or
Lastly, you are not only allowed to play SSB with the same character that you played SSA--playing with the same character in both is actually encouraged. And you may win a 2018 Lexus LC 500.
Khelreddin |
Is the plan that playing restrictions are lifted shortly before outplay kicks off?
I wondered the same, though I know we don't actually start play for over a month. At a quick count, there are 23 tables of PFS standard with fewer than 4 players. There are only 51 standard tables on the list, so 45% of them don't have enough players to go (setting aside a GMPC, which seems like something we shouldn't need to do).

Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good thing on a number of levels.
Firstly it keeps lots of seats open for people who don't sit down hitting refresh every two minutes. *cough* *splutter*
Secondly it helps us all to prioritize what scenarios we want to play.
Lastly it helps some of us with big appetites to curb them a little.
The only down side is empty seats at tables, but if they get opened up a day or two before play starts, I can see them probably filling up pretty fast.
In fact this addresses some of the concerns I wrote about when I filled in the PBP survey, so I'm really pleased to see it being tried.
GM Ladile |
@TWMIGM - Combine the two and I think you'll have proper intent:
Society players who have participated in Solstice Scar A are welcome to play Solstice Scar B with the character they played A with or any other legal Pathfinder Society character they wish. Playing with the same character in both is actually encouraged, as a single character who finishes both scenarios can expect greater rewards for completing this second installment - such as a 2018 Lexus LC 500.
So you can play Version B with the same character that you played in Version A *or* you can play a different character. I suspect (but have no direct confirmation as I've not seen or played Version B yet) that if you play the same character for each Version, the unique boon on the chronicle sheet will...improve, after a fashion. Does that make sense?

Well, Mykel, welcome to the table!
GM Chie: Thank you. You really didn't have to do that. In response to your generosity, I have added your name to my wait list. You will receive a PM for the next game I run. Admittedly, it may be a bit but its something! PM me if you have any specific requests.

Ladies and Gentlemen!
Would you like to live the dream of exploring a snowy peak of a mountain in order to find bones of an ancient dragon? Well, I have just the opportunity for you! Go and play Skyrim!
For those who wish to do this NOT in virtual reality, we still have 1 slot open for my To Scale the Dragon outpost game. Tier 5-9, current APL is precisely 5, as we have all level 5 characters in the game so far.

Who'd like to wander through a crazy maze to save an influential being and friend of the Society, at the risk of their own sanity? No one...? Damn, I knew I shouldn't have phrased it like that!
Anyway, recruiting 5-6 players for 1-45 Delirium's Tangle, a tier 1-5 scenario. It will be a Standard game, with preference given to those newer to PFS or PbP. Signups are here.

A wolf and rider come bursting in. The small fuchsia rider hauls her wolf to a screeching stop next to one of the tavern support posts. She pulls out scroll and a pair of nails. Then she pulls off her boot, and using it as a hammer nails the paper to the post.
Then, in a sudden burst of speed and sawdust the wolf and his rider are gone.
THE VOICE [01-35, tier 3-7]: CORE AUDITIONS
The four-time Emmy Award-winning "The Voice: In the Void" (tier 3-7, probably closer to 3 than 7) returns with the strongest adventurers from across the Inner Sea invited to compete in this blockbuster dungeon's new season.+++++
Superstar sword swinger Valeros makes his debut as a coach this season, with Season 12-winning coach and magus icon Seltyiel taking a red chair alongside the show's returning coaches, Venture-Captain Adril Hestram and Nigel Aldain, with host, and world’s most interesting GM, the World’s Most Interesting GM.
The adventure's innovative format features five stages of competition*: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.
+++++
The event starts March 5th 2018. Open to in-tier (levels 3-7 for this game anyway), CORE Pathfinder Society characters only.
+++++
Space is limited, so sign up now! (Find line 9 [now anyhow], then scroll to the right.)
+++++
* These five stages are often followed by the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

Calling for a replacement GM for Gallows of Madness. Our GM last posted on 19 Jan; there has been no announcement of vacation or warning of a disappearance. We are in the third section of the module. I don't have enough knowledge of the module to say how far we are, but we are in the manor house.
Thanks for any help that can be offered!

Yep, that game meets the standards for an abandoned game. If anyone wants to take over and has any questions, please contact me or any of the rest of the PbP Venture Team, we'd be glad to help.
Here are the instructions for taking over an abandoned game.
