A gray elf of the Mordant Spire, Oberon de la Strega left his island home in the Steaming Sea to study magic at the Academae in Korvosa. While in Korvosa, he lodged with a noted Varisian sorceress and tattoo artist, who used Oberon as her canvas.
His post-graduate arcane research eventually took him to the Egorian Academy of the Magical Arts, where he caught the eye of an ambitious Chelaxian noblewoman and dabbling arcanist. Though the elf was too exotic and too mercurial to be accepted as an equal by elite Chelish society, Venture-Captain Zarta Dralneen recruited him into the Pathfinder Society and considers him one of her most promising protégés.
He has a fondness for halflings and, in particular, for the Pathfinder bard Janira Gavix, with whom he developed a relationship during his Confirmation and during investigations involving The Wounded Wisp.
Oberon is an ardent fan of Venture-Captain Count Varian Jeggare, a fellow alumnus of the Acadamae and a fellow resident of Egorian.
