Thorne Frallino and his twin brother Blood were born into a household of Shoanti tribesmen living on the outskirts of Magnimar. Their mother was a Sczarni slave sold to the Shoanti by Jaster Frallino, head of The Gallowed crime family. Their father was an orc captive. The Shoanti slit their father’s throat before the boys were even born. Their work-weary mother passed away while Thorne and Blood were still toddlers. The boys became the property of a Shoanti shaman, a tough and demanding master who dubbed them “Mudbone” and “Bucket.” Thorne and Blood were clever and cunning boys and, selling their songs and fighting in the arena, they eventually saved enough coin to purchase their freedom. They traveled to Absalom to escape their past and to seek their fortune. They entered the Pathfinder Society, training at the Grand Lodge before becoming field agents. Off-duty, Thorne is the lead singer in a metal blues band called Bass Clef. Blood is the band’s stage manager and agent.
