Rico was raised in Absalom, the youngest son in a large troupe of Varisian street performers. Rico's only talents were the strength and good looks of his angelkin aasimar ancestors. Those assets were of limited use to his family, but of more than passing interest to the ladies of the City at the Center of the World. Rico meets his modest expenses by serving the goddess Shelyn as one of Absalom's most affordable male courtesans. He is a dark-eyed, black-haired young man, 6' tall and 185 pounds.

Shortly after returning from a Pathfinder Society mission to the Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, Rico discovered one of his elderly patronesses, Dame Aisha Jafar, had recently passed away. To his surprise, Aisha had bequeathed to him the controlling interest in a merchant caravan plying the trade routes along the Golden Path between Katheer in Qadira across the Empire of Kelesh to Vudra.
