![]() Andreas watches and listens for a bit more as he begins to understand the man's motives.
Andreas, standing at the back of the crowd, moves gently through the gathered people to stand in front of the man. His tall frame firm and unyielding. He looks the man in the eyes and nods his head up and down, all the while never breaking eye contact.
Andreas then looks the man from his eyes all the way down to his boots and back up to his eyes again.
His movement comes full circle to the unknown man.
He turns to the crowd again
He returns his gaze to the eyes of the man that would attack his people.
He again turns to the crowd.

As for the dangers of these lands. The lands were infested with monsters, bandits and other fell creatures that were intent on killing anyone that crossed their path.
Your words are sweet as honey and hold just enough tartness to cause a reaction. Like they were scripted for a specific response. Leaving out certain details while concentrating on others. Andreas stops and looks at the man again. He draws forth his weapon, walking towards the man, he presents it to him.

You will show them respect even when they do not return it. If you have problems with any Fey you will come to us, and we will deal with it. I want all of us to live together and coexist. You will find that we have made friends with a wide range of people in the Stolen lands. It does no one any good to be fighting everyone you do not like. Just leave them alone and move on. I am Sir Andreas Eisfalke Von Ulm, you may or may not have heard of me or those that fight beside me. We defeated the Stag Lord and have created something better in his place. The dragon throne has granted us the right to administer justice to the region against all forms of banditry. This does include theft, and it also includes ransom. Do I have the right to enforce my justice on you...maybe, maybe not. I do however have the right to protect my people. If they cannot travel the lands without being forced to replace every tree that they piss on...or being threatened with death over lumber rights. I will protect my people. Option one is the two of you fight it out and do harm to each other. Most likely the trees do not get replanted, nor do they get used to make anything. They will rot here and benefit neither of you. Someone will die. Someone will loose and it will be both of you. Someone will come in and pick up the pieces from your conflict because you are too weak from battle to do anything at all about it. Andreas turns and starts to walk to his horse. Mounting he adjust his horse so that he can look at them both. Option two is this. The trees will be removed from here and sent to my town where they will be used to benefit those in need. To make ridge poles for homes. The masts of fishing vessels to feed the people. Corax and ALL of his men will move their operation ten miles north to another grove of coachwood. They will clear the woods and replant a single tree for everyone they fell. Those trees will be taken to the town on the north shore of the Tuskwater. You will be given a fair price for the timber. You are to never return to this region. Melianse, I personally will ride to meet this Dryad and barter with her to replace the trees. You have my word on it. I also will provide seed from the old Sycamore tree that stands to the east of here. I desire to see such a specimen grow in another region of the greenbelt. If either of you take up arms against the other, I will step in, and it will be resolved quickly. This is a large land with plenty of room for all. I want you to coexist with one another and to thrive in these harsh lands. My offer expires the moment we leave this grove and are out of sight. It is your call. Fight, die and no one wins...or...live and both of you get what you want. Your call.
Andreas urges his horse to head out of the grove. ![]()

2. What is a long-term goal of your character?
3. If your character was given the opportunity to found their own kingdom what would be their motivation to do so? Now this is a bit more involved than a few sentences but I will try. I can see this character not actively seeking to be a ruler as he thrives on his personal freedom to be who he is. The stolen lands are untamed and dangerous to those that can not defend themselves. Seeing that adventurers are actively seeking to change that would drive him to do as such. This region also houses a wide range of terrains for which he could see the potential for brewing purposes. Different regions for grains, barley, hops, grapes, honey, fruits, grasses, rye, etc...all of which could lead back to his cup and Cayden as a motivator. The river kingdoms thrive on freedom and the region teems with adventures. Maybe a tavern/brewery in each city called the Silver Cup. A place for adventuresses to relax and put their boots up for a bit. To maintain the freedom of all with very little government oversight. I hope this is understandable.... ![]()

![]() Christian tries to gather all those that have a vested interest in the future of this new kingdom. Looking around from one face to another...or at least those that he can see of course, Christian keeps things pleasant. He hopes that the faces are bright and renewed with vitality after the hazards they all have endured over the last week or so.
Come morning, Christian is up bright and early before the sun turn the skies pink. He heads to a cook fire and starts to aid in making the meal for that morning. Toiling with pots and pans, he lends a hand where one is needed. When the time comes, he makes sure the room that will be used for breaking of the fast is ready. He places a simple glass wine bottle on the table. A smoked tint gives it a silver like color. The label reads The Silver Scale...4710. At the appointed time, he stands at the table waiting for all to join him.
He motions for all to sit. He continues as the other eat and drink.
He pauses and take drink to wash down his food.
After some talk of a name or two, Christian moves on to his next topic.
He continues once again after some more eating.
There is need of skilled laborers and those that can do simple labor. We may want to get the word out that there is opportunity here for those that are willing to work for it. Christian face softens lightly..
After much debate and discussion. Christian stands and picks up the bottle that has been sitting on the table in front of him. Looking at it and turning it this way and that, he smiles at the others.
With those last words said Christian opens the wine and proceeds to walk around filling each glass. The ladies first and then the men. He fills his glass last and places the bottle down on the table. A toast to our kingdom. A kingdom is not just land and government. It's people, culture and generations of life to come give it purpose. Though they may come and go, they shape us like rocks in a stream. We may not see their effects in the moment, a lifetime of friendship makes each of us smooth and complete: the best of what we can be. So, let us drink to our kingdom. To our friends and to our families...like those here today.
