Penelope can feel the blood pumping loud in her ears, wait does she have blood?. Blood? So much blood. So much killing, betrayal. Anger. Penelope loses control of herself and gives herself up to her anger, her pain!

Recently healed and full of vigor, Denge Swings his Scythe!

Penelope can watches in horror as Adula sends out a wave of negative energy. Denge caught unawares crumples.

"Denge!"
She screams a warning (too late, always too late!)and rushes to his side heedless of the battle that is erupting around her.

Weeping openly, she burys her head in his chest.

While sitting/laying next to Denge's inert body, Penelope's clothes go flat.

”Denge, after what happened this afternoon… I can’t …I won’t just stand by.”

”I have to be prepared. I have to be ready to defend myself, to defend you. To kill or be killed.”

”I just don’t know which one would be most effective at killing goblins and such.”

Denge and Penelope go back and forth. If others is the party come up to look at the three swords Penelope is pondering, Denge will waive them forward and ask them to choose any weapon of their liking.

Penelope will not protest if another party member takes one of the three she is considering.

"Hpmh."

Upon hearing Denge's dismissive tone, Penelope will include in her perusal the double bladed sword. She picks it up awkwardly pretending to expertly examine it's blades.

After a moment the weight of the weapon shifts in her hands and she drops it on the ground.

Denge looks at goblins attacking Nex, looks at the empty crossbow in his hand with disgust.

Denge wipes the blood and sweat from his eyes and rises unsteadily to his feet.

After attempting to pull the lever back on his crossbow to load it, but finding it too difficult in his weakened state, Denge focuses his physic energies on the red Goblin.

Denge reaches out with his left arms, his right hand clenching in a fist, creates mental picture of a flash of brilliance and the concentrates on feeling of confusion his wants to impose on red.

He clenchs his fist and spits!"Be dazed!"

Denge is hit with a volley of 3 arrows and then a second volley of two more arrows. First surprise on his face, then concern as he looks toward penelope, then pain.

Weakly, the breath leaving his body, he reaches, an out stretched arm and open hand toward Penelope "Penelope.. stay strong...don't.... "

And then he crumples to the ground unconscious bleeding out.

"Aaah yes, speaking of travelers. Allow to introduce a fellow traveling companion. She has been the victim of a terrible incident, of which we will not speak, suffice to say her appearance and methods may seem odd, but do not fret, she is a friend to all I call friend.

Penelope glides forward and nods to each party member in turn and to the ones who arrive later. It is apparent she afraid and confused, but determined to put on a strong face.

If asked questions she will rarely answer and will move closer to Denge, offering an apologetic smile.

There is something odd about Penelope, she appears translucent at times, and her eyes always have a far away look to them.

When you turn away from her and then immediately look back at her she is often in a different location having moved impossibly fast(if only a few feet), without any apparent effort.

Denge walks up to the group and plants his walking stick firmly into the ground and leans heavily on it, but it is obvious he does need it to support himself, it appears to be more of a conversational stance, as there is no need for this lean and spry individual to use this stick for support.
"Well met fellow travelers, my name is Denge. I am a simple traveler I am headed to the town of Belhaim, the destination of this very caravan. Working my way over seems the best way to travel."

Lecate thinks about it and decides to proceed on his own, trusting in Desna to compensate for the possible uncomfortable landing when he breaks through the cracks in the floor.

Lecate kisses the hilt of his heavy mace and swings away!

The entire time Lecate is aware he will cause a small cave-in into th passage below. Cognizant of that fact he is ready to spring back when the floor/ceiling gives way.

Lecate flexes his forearm causing his wand of cure light wounds to spring into his hand.

Whispering a prayer to Desna to put this creature to rest, Lecate moves right next to the Allip and actives his wand.

Lecate kneels down and splashes water on his face. It has been a a long four nights in the saddle.

He is glad to have reached the Oasis and now that Maherpa has spotted the marker, Lecate motions the party over to the oasis for some refreshment before we head out to the marker.

Lecate watches the tableau play out and thinks to himself this is indeed a cunning and confident group he has been assigned to assist.

A varisian human hurries up to the group palms out stretched in a non-menacing gesture.

He speaks to the closest of the group(About Motaz ibn Dakhil al-Lythertidi )

"Hail fellow travelers."

Lecate lowers his voice even though there is no one else in ear shot of the group.

"I am glad I caught up with you. I am a fellow pathfinder also assigned to this mission. I arrived to the lodge hours after you departed. I spoke with Venture captain Balentir, he gave me a brief description of each of you and he thought it best I follow and catch up to the group.
My name is Lecate Ctadair, servant of Desna."

What stands before you is a youngish Varsian male, early 20’s with a hard but not unattractive face. He wears traveling robes of the clergy, a holy symbol of Desna hanging around his neck.

"I apologize for my late arrival as luck would have it I was detained by the custom agent Mahu, I’m sure you saw him on the way in. I “had” a few questionable items that he requested to inspect in greater depth."

"I must have just missed you at House of the White Ureaus as well, I did receive a copy of "today's Schedule from an agent of the Torch, but alas I am here now ready to lend my full assistance to the mission. I saw you fellow pathfinders heading toward this well, I would have been hear sooner, but I wanted to double back to make sure we were not being followed."

Lecate quickly introduces himself to each of the other party members, except Kintampo, who he will wait until he returns to the surface.

Walking toward the padlocked door, whispering to Armun " IF I can open it? Does a Hobgoblin sh*t in the woods? Now we might be unpleasently surprised by what we find inside, but hell we are here to CLEAR the keep, and by Desna's wings that's what we'll do."

Moving in marching order, except Kelvor and I reversed, Tarrow spends a minute on the padlock, on the padlocked door(east corridor).

How large is the goblin snake? Would it fit in the strongbox with the damaged lock?

Tarrow turns his head (to prevent the snake from reading his lips, and possibly prevent the snake for knowing he is speaking) and whispers to the group, "It appears this coy creature has some information that IT thinks is valuable...."

"Too risky to kill outright, but too risky to let live and roam free."

"I suggest we find a room(like the pad-locked room) or use the "strongbox' and detain this creature until we find this room of riddles. If we can surmount the challenges within, we don't need this creature, but if we are incapable we may bargain with this foul creature."

Tarrow turns his head back to the snake and speaks loudly "Allow us a moment in privacy to consider this bargain, snake, we will step into the next room to discuss our terms for any bargain."

Tarrow moves toward the pad-locked room and whispers to the group, "I see we have three options.
1) We kill the creature outright and take our chances
2) We subdue/pummel/incarcerate this creature and continue to clear the keep. If we need the creatures information we can bargain later.
3) We simply ignore this creature and we continue to clear this keep. A hobgoblin has already blown a horn of warning, the entire keep has already been alerted to our presence, this snake will not likely warn this creature he wants us to kill."

Whispering "I vote to ignore this foul creature. I say we enter the east, passage enter the secret passage, climb the latter and storm the second level. If this creature wishes to bargain with us, he will not interfere with our activities. What say you, men?"
