Yjalk responds to Mareq's question, "The gods are not giving me a description, only telling me a great weapon to fight the linnorms is being here."

Oronia knows from her previous work with the trap that it will automatically reset, but not for 10 minutes.

Husarq carries the corpse of the burned Taldan man into the Gathering Hall. Lecate waits.

Kintampo? Would you like to do anything?

Oronia moves over to the levers and deactivates the trap once more.

At this point, do I need to roll, having done so easily so often?

Any of the Pathfinders can easily disarm the trap by pulling both levers down. There's no need for anyone to roll unless the intent is to permanently disable the trap, which would require a bit more than moving the levers.

After Kintampo stows his wand, just before Oronia goes to move the levers to disarm the tramp, the Gathering Hall trembles.

The brazier in the center of the table atop the dias ignites with emerald fire. The flames rise malignantly and spring forth from the brazier, swooping through Maherpa to strike at Oronia.

Melee Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20

Wisdom Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

The flames, having taken a vaguely humanoid form, reach into Oronia's mind, violently disturbing it.

The flames emit a voice that meaninglessly babbles in Ancient Osiriani. The sound is mesmerizing.

Oronia's Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 (just before the attack)
Maherpa's Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Mareq's Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Yjalk's Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Signe's Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Oronia, Maherpa, and Yjalk are fascinated by the babble and may not act. If you have a t-shirt or folio reroll, you may certainly use it to reroll the Will save.

The shards in Oronia's pockets rock violently, causing Oronia's pouches to shake and twitch.

The corpses in the alcoves begin to twitch as well.

Anyone trained in Knowledge(religion) may make a check to identify the form attacking from the flames.

Knowledge(religion) Check DC 14+:
The creature is an allip, an incorporeal undead being that arises when an individual dies from insanity. The touch of an allip drains away its victims sanity. Anyone rendered unconscious from the touch may become permanently insane.

Knowledge(religion) Check DC 19+:
In addition to the sanity-draining touch attack and the babbling aura you have witnessed, you know that the allip is unusually resistant to channeling attacks.

Oronia, because she was attacked, gets a new chance to resist the mesmerizing effect of the babble.

Oronia's New Will Save: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 - 2 = 19

She shakes the effect off and may act.

After Oronia will come Maherpa (unless the fascination is still in effect), then Signe, then Yjalk (unless the fascination is still in effect), then Husarq, Lecate, Kintampo, and Mareq, in that order.

The creatures is currently occupying the same square as Maherpa. Because it is incorporeal, it is not squeezed (nor is Maherpa). There is no danger of striking Maherpa if you make an attack against the allip, unless you're using an area affect or a splash weapon, in which case he would be within the area and take splash damage, respectively.

Oronia dashes away from the creature.

Unfortunately, there is no path from the square in which Oronia started to any other square that Oronia can use for a withdraw action that will not provoke an attack of opportunity from the creature. If she moves to the square in which you have placed her figure, she will take an attack of opportunity. Is there some other action you would rather take?

Stepping to the side so the sticks can get into the fray, Oronia pops a dagger free from her wrist sheath and flails about defensively, looking completely ill-at-ease.

Total Defense +4 AC, should also give a +2 for flanking for Lecate

Maherpa remains fascinated for the moment.

Signe, the half-elf, picks up her flute and begins to play a tune to counter the effect of the babbling creature.

Perform Check: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

Her performance is achingly beautiful, countering the babbling. Maherpa and Yjalk are each freed from the fascination. The performance counts as a new saving throw for each of them, and the result is sufficient to save from the effect. Maherpa will be able to act normally next round and thereafter.

Although the insane babbling continues, it ceases to be a source of distraction for any of you.

Yjalk pulls a vial out of a pocket and carefully pours a liquid from it onto his greatsword, which begins to shine with silver light.

Now Husarq, then Lecate, Kintampo, and Mareq, in that order.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Dmg: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 2) + 7 = 10

What magical modifier does the oil confer?

Mareq calls out for Yjalk to give his magicked greatsword to Husarq. Yjalk replies, blindly turning in Mareq's direction. "Yes, be taking mein sword. It is being magic now."

Husarq delays a moment so that Mareq can retrieve the weapon. In the meantime, Lecate's wand springs into his hand. He activates it, bathing his arm in healing energy. He steps forward and reaches out and into the creature. He misses, but just barely. The positive energy continues to bathe his arm, ready for a second attempt.

Oronia, your stats don't indicate whether the dagger is magic. If it is, you threaten, and Lecate would have connected. Let me know, and I will roll the creature's will save and ask Lecate to roll the damage. Otherwise, I assume the dagger is non-magical, which means that it cannot possibly harm the creature and, unfortunately, that Oronia does not threaten it.

Kintampo, then Mareq (who will take the sword and pass it to Husarq), and then Husarq (who has already rolled his attack - the oil is an oil of magic weapon that adds +1 to hit and +1 to damage). After that, it will be the creature's turn again, then Oronia's.

Maherpa could take a 5' step back and do that this round, if you prefer. For now, I will assume it is a withdraw action and go on with the round. However, if you wish to change the action to a 5' step and enchanting his weapon, feel free to post that he did so instead. You didn't say where Maherpa is going with the withdraw and did not move him on the map. For now, I moved him directly away from the allip on square. Please also feel free to put him to where he would have withdrawn (or stepped, if you change the action).

Maherpa cautiously moves away from the creature of green flame.

Lecate attempts to strike the creature with the healing energy he conjured last round, but misses once again.

Kintampo swings his staff and connects with the creature. However, as it is incorporeal, the strike barely injures it. Some ectoplasm spills on the floor and quickly evaporates.

The shards of the Ruby Jewel in Oronia's pouches violently react to the attack. Ruby red bolts of power spring from about Oronia's person, striking the creature, which quivers and sprays more ectoplasm on the wall, the floor, and Oronia.

The green flame creature's babbling rises to a howl of hatred and pain.
