Ilyaleh advances, drawing out a flask of alchemist's fire as she carefully tucks Ara into her pocket. Their memories of bats were... less than pleasant. Quickly, she relays to the others what she knows of this particular kind of enemy.

Apologies, recently had a death in the family. Please feel free to bot as necessary. I'll try to post, but adjustments are currently difficult.

Ara tentatively laps at the water before returning to Ilyaleh's shoulders, still a bit jittery.

Seeing the restorative powers of the fountain firsthand, Ilyaleh drinks of it too, letting its benefits wash over her.

Ilyaleh rolls her eyes at Caelhal and scowls at him. "You didn't look any better!"

And perhaps more childishly, when Miklos teases them, she points at him and juts out her lower lip. "Tell that to him -- he started it!"

"He seems to be alright now," Ilyaleh says, relieved as she kneels to pick him up, stroking his fur to help calm him. "That pool was frightening - there were terrible reflections in it."

She continues soothing her familiar as she casts detect magic again, apparently not having learned her lesson.

"Ahh!" Ilyaleh cried out and leapt back. As Ara fled, Ilyaleh turned to catch up to her, still freaking out.

"Let's see..." Ilyaleh agrees, then casts detect magic.

Since no one takes the potion, Ilyaleh shrugs and holds onto it in case they need it later. As they advance, she blinks, surprised at the damage. "Goodness, what do you think happened here? What kind of fire also makes water cloudy? Could that be ash? A result of the smoke?"

Fortitude: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Ilyaleh makes a face as the zombie comes apart. Eyeing the pack, she points out, "They can't have been here long." Pawing through the pack, she asks, "Does anyone know anything about the Ranger's Lament?"

She offers the potion to whoever wants it - topping off is a good idea. She also offers use of Miklos's wand as necessary.

Ilyaleh rounds the corner, following the others, and attempts to slash at the zombie (red) in front of her, hoping she manages to do something.

Magic Dagger friend?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Ilyaleh pulls out the dagger she'd found earlier and steps forward, shifting a bit of good fortune towards Caelhal. Considering the attack with the whip, she, uh... Thinks he could use it.

"Did, uh... Did anyone else hear that?" Ilyaleh asks the others, frowning. "It sounded... wet. And heavy?"

Ilyaleh gags and protectively cover's Ara's nose. "That's foul," she sputters as she covers her own. She begins looking around to see if she can find what the source of that godsawful stench is.

Ilyaleh rolls her eyes at the joke before eyeballing their surroundings. She moves with Aviram as they return to the circular room.

"Why not just give it a go?"

She figured it would be obvious, but, well. You never knew with some people, right? Above the start of her message, she adds 'ANIMATED'. "There! And may any who try to touch it be prepared."

"Good idea," Ilyaleh agrees, pausing to dig through her pack. Rather than looking for a good bit of paper, she fills her pen with just enough ink to scrawl a quick warning on the wall: SKELETON UNDER WATER! WATCH YOUR STEP!

"That ought to do it, eh? And if they take care of it, it'll be easy enough to scrub out."

Ilyaleh shudders at the skeleton at the bottom but agrees with Krstani. "Let's move along then."

Ilyaleh grimaces at the water. Kneeling beside it, she lowers her quarterstaff to offer Miklos an easy handhold so she could help pull him up.

"Let's, ah... Let's not tangle with it if it's already trapped? Or should we just put it out of its misery?"

Ilyaleh pockets Miklos's wand for use in future combats and activates Aviram's wand twice, once on Aviram himself and another on Erhun. Assuming that's what was meant?

"Think it'll come up? Should we, ah... Handle it now or leave it be?" she asks once she's done. She eyes the ripples cautiously. "I can always poke it with my staff?"

Perception (Ara): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Ilyaleh shudders. "I'm glad we've won, but it looks as though it was at no small cost." Looking at the person from whom she'd borrowed the wand, she asks, "Do you mind? We should probably touch up."

Forgive me, my lil' notes section got wrecked in my book so I'm not actually sure who I'm borrowing the wand from /cry

Seeing that this change in strategy has certainly done no ill, she then twists the threads of fate to pass some luck along to Aviram.

Grimacing as they take on heavy damage, she swaps tactics, moving to support rather than attempt to attack. Seeing as she doesn't have the room to maneuver her stave without smacking someone, Ilyaleh defaults to touching fate, shifting it a bit to favor Miklos. Shifting her grip on her quarterstaff, she takes a step forward to fill any holes or take advantage of any open spaces to smack foes from.

Miklos gets fortune! Ally in 30 ft can roll 2d20 for an attack, save, ability, or skill check (and take higher) once/rd.

Seeing Krstani's idea with the acid, Ilyaleh draws a flask from her pouch and tosses it, trying to lob it at the skeleton (green) in the back (to keep from splashing her allies).
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Splash is 1 acid damage.

Ilyaleh moves up, nervous, and slips into a crevice behind the others, touching Miklos to grant him guidance. "Why is it always skeletons?" she asks, her expression one of dismay.

Ilyaleh wretches and covers her mouth and nose at the smell, making a face. "Eugh," she shudders at the decidedly foul scent. "That's disgusting." She considers what she knows about the sludge, but comes up empty. "Does anyone have any other ideas?" She does have the brandy, but she's a bit reluctant to use it for the burning of... well. Whatever this is.

"It's a ring of swimming," Ilyaleh offers once she's had a go of it. As they advance, she can't help but eye the water suspiciously. For frogs. Just in case.

"That was disgusting," Ilyaleh shudders, gently touching Ara for comfort. Her foxy companion leans into it, sensing that she'd been disturbed by the frogs. Eurgh! Still, she takes Miklos's advice and looks around to see what might be of use to them.

"Do you see anything, Ara?" she murmurs to him quietly. She, uh, gives the frog-bodies a large berth as she steps past them.

Yelping, Ilyaleh just barely makes it out of the way, bring her quarterstaff down for a few good wallops. "Get away, get away!" she half-yelps. Her swings are, perhaps, a bit more wild than she'd like, but... Well, she had to try, right?

Halting at the frog's approach and attack - and just barely not getting thwapped at that! - Ilyaleh reflexively smacks downwards with her quarterstaff, yelping a bit. Because that's just what panic makes her do, okay?

Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Ilyaleh grimaces at the water, grimacing as it sloshes up against her legs as she moves. She's never been concerned about water, strictly speaking, but she can't exactly say that she finds the excess of it particularly pleasing. Even so, she forces herself to move forward, using her staff to make sure she's not about to take an unfortunate fall into the muck.

Double move, I think? I was counting squares inside the room as being 10ft of movement instead of 5ft?

Ilyaleh grimaces at the sight, protectively cuddling Ara - she couldn't imagine what she'd do if a similar fate ever befell her friend.

Hearing what they're saying, Ilyaleh holds up the key she'd found, asking, "Perhaps this will be of use? I think either direction is fine, but... Well. I'm just wondering if this is the gate key?"

"Could we perhaps..." she shudders at the very idea. "Separate them out? So their bones and gear and everything are far enough apart that we needn't worry about them nor waste our supplies?"

Appraise: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Ilyaleh grimaces at Erhun's words even as she takes hold of Miklos's wand to use it on him. "That sounds... disgusting." She shakes her head. "It sounds as though we'll have to be careful of more of the same - the number of undead we've encountered has been odd, but now the kinds we're encountering are more resilient as well? We'll have to be careful."

At the question, Ilyaleh pauses in her search to examine the bodies and relays whatever she learns from them.

Ilyaleh grimaces and checks on her dear animal companion. He, too, wrinkles his nose at the scent. With the fight over, she begins looking around the room, trying to discern what is and is not worth their knowing.

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Perception (Ara): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Ilyaleh attempts another attack on the creature, this time attempting to hit it form both ends of her stave.

Staff: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 1 - 4 = -2
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Staff: 1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 1 - 4 = 13

Ilyaleh would grin, pleased at her success before advancing to help Aviram with the remaining foe, attempting to repeat her prior action to make the undead dead again.

Apologies for the delay! @_@ And... Somewhat random question - does that 8 hour rest count as a 'night' or have we yet to sleep? I mean, I know my hexes are 24hrs, but I haven't actually sorted a good way to track that yet, orz, so I was wondering. @_@

Ilyaleh moves forward and attacks the skeleton Erhun has engaged, attempting to thwack it with her quarterstaff.

She next attempts a full attack, trying to return the skeleton to a state of restful deadness.

Agitated, Ara's hackles rise and his paws dig into Ilyaleh's shoulders.

"Ara?" The small snarl in his throat suggests that she ought to be paying attention. "Guys, Ara's upset about something." Uneasy, she adjusts her grip on the fox.

"Can you try the door again?" Ilyaleh asks Erhun, very much concerned.

Is this a wooden door? If they can't get it open, she'll suggest setting it on fire.

Ilyaleh looks on in surprise, not quite able to react to the door! Oh, no!

Based off her positioning in the map, anyways? :D

Ilyaleh shivers at the thought of her little friend getting turned into a pincushion and cringes. "We should definitely use some sort of protection," she says - "I'd rather not find that a minimum of effort resulted in all of us being turned into porcupines."

"The medallions are... interesting." Ilyaleh tries to get a better look at the mural, casting her own spell of detect magic to see what she could find.

First, I'd like to cringe on behalf of my kitsune rogue. And also, ooooh, I get to help? :D Oh, and I finally get to use that healer's kit!

"Give me some time and let me try to tend them first," Ilyaleh interjects at Ara's (literal) prodding. "I have a kit that might be of some use here."

Ilyaleh winces on behalf of her friends, but doesn't say anything - what is there she could possibly say to make them feel any better? From what she'd seen, the wounds were grievous indeed.

Rather, she returns her attention to the dagger and the key that she'd picked up and examines them both with detect magic.
