Yeah, I think I'll be good with it, and I have plenty of PDF ship maps, we'll have some amphibious attackers. Also fun note. Player cast Darkness for some cover in the tavern, and most of the enemies were rolled as half-orcs or npcs with blind fight and other options, so a bunch of the crowd shouted out things like "I have Darkvision!"

Gina doesn't need to think hard on this one, she knows from the preparation what Nidalese and Kuthite torture looks like, even if not expecting an actual shadowy demiplane. "You don't have to answer, fair Telendrak, it seems that not doing as your current master commands may draw too much attention here before we are ready to face them." "If hope is what brings torture, than steel yourself, horselord, because some of us will be simply unable to leave until this barrow is free from this shadowy power and you and your ancestors can rest in peace. We will do whatever it takes. Your people are not forgotten, and I would personally much rather see your ancient glories here without the current decor." "Stay silent if you must, but a sentinel like yourself must know some secrets of this place or the habits of its shadowed guardians." She gives Fifi a be-ready-for-anything look. Gina also tries to assess whether Telendrak is anything other than a tortured soul. knowledge any recall knowledge: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Hi all, I've worked with Tyranius and Ferret before in running games, particularly PF1 tables at Roll for Discord, and I've requested some Season 0-3 scenarios to run, so hopefully that scratches some of the RetroCon itch. And absolutely, with Discord notifications I can at least answer most questions that come up quickly and get us moving. Looking forward to seeing a bunch more of you on Discord.
Hello Flaxseed Pathfinders, I bring greetings from the Roll for Combat Lodge. I go by BBlackwood there, and I have run and played at tables in several of the recent online conventions. I would like to invite people to join us over on Discord for some play-by-post gaming of a different sort. Firstly, I am recruiting for newbies, whether in general or who haven't tried Discord much as a platform. For this, I will be running The Silverhex Chronicles quests. Bring a level 1 character. Secondly, for the more experienced, but definitely open to those that haven't tried Discord, I will be running PFS6-18 From Under Ice. Since I would like to run this for more experienced players, we will be trying to run high tier, so preferably bring a 3-5. Recruitment Sheet From Under Ice Feel free to message me here or track me down on Discord with Questions, there I am BB GumBlackwood#8523 Cheers,
Tried hard to portray that the face spirits would respond to more than Social rolls. All but 1 PC rolled their (low bonus) social skills, several ticked off the associated spirits despite knowing what they disliked, and the non-social roll was the only one that rolled above a 10, so maybe the single success should be a lesson in listening to the environment.
My table was happy to be done with the aquatic adventures, those jellyfish really slowed them down, and a crit they couldn't negate (already having negated one) took down the Investigator (-3, stabilized, healed) on the ship. Right now they're trying to punch Atalazorn out of the sky and slinging Power Rangers and other meme-y quips, so big change.

Feedback: You showed up when we needed you and got us going well, and played well with creative roleplay. That's better than most GMs could pull off, thank you.

”Aww, poor baby, Gaspar. And here I was, about to change into Graves for your sake. Now how about that verbal sparring? Are you going to go off about the glory of Taldor versus these desert cultures, or is this personal? By the way, your hobgoblin pals wear light armor, it breathes easier, but leaves openings for good weapon hits.” Just adding in some free actions, like continuing oratory, and taunting like a good swashbuckler.

A heavily-armored Vesk in colorful iridishell armor and a chef's hat and apron pulls off his hat and examines it a bit. He takes off and folds up the apron and unclips his magnetic Charz, the Glaucite Chef nametag and puts them all in a compartmental backpack that seems to disappear into his armor. He sets the full face visor to reflective. "There," he says in his gravelly, gutteral tone, "Charz iz no longer famous cheff to starz and screen, iz just Butcher. Will make with Doshko and lasers and grenades in gladiator fight, like he did on best episode of Baking Wiz Starz. Good show for all. Someone make wiz fake papers now."
Pretty much the entirety of Severing Ties, played with this character (ecclesiothurge of Cayden Cailien). Highlights included:: Failure to identify anything we found. Testing hats involved shoving one PC into a body of water. Got bored with failing to convince the Aspis agent to give us his stamps, then remembered I had Charm Person prepared. As we left, the NPC just grumbled about misplacing them. Befriended a basilisk through a combination of wild empathy and getting it drunk. Befriending a snake we thought was a whip. The hunter had quite a menagerie going. Stamping a helpless NPC, tied up but enjoying his ritualistic tattooing; trying not to make the situation any weirder. The paladin was appalled. We shot the moon in trying to convince the cultist at the gate that we had the requested items, when they were all fakes. "These don't even detect as magic!" "Yes, well that's what you get when you work with the Aspis, incompetence bordering on maliciousness." The GM describing an entire room of cultists chasing us, but completely unprepared for a loose basilisk, a flood of sewage and explosive gas.
312. (I pulled this one on my players) An abandoned tollhouse leans precariously into the road. The far side has a message painted in red, "I'm watching you", or something similar. The door is propped open with a paint can. There is a garden overgrown with vines, including one that has been chopped on an axe block. Whoever or whatever caused the abandonment is completely gone, some food from the garden or local maps may be found. 313. on the approach to a village, PCs notice that many of the local barns and other structures have murals depicting a grinning gnome holding various potion bottles, advertising curatives and tonics ahead at unbelievable prices. Once the PCs enter the village, no one will talk about the advertisements, claiming they "ought to repaint" if pressed. Bonus if the PCs eventually find a burnt out wagon with a dead gnome and a horde of fake potions.
Yes, though a bit silly, the art in the books clearly shows lances, etc. strapped to the side and aimed forward. I had a player wielding a nodachi this way and it seemed reasonable enough, lots of charging and stabbing. He eventually found an evil bane sword that he could use one handed with his mouth, though we insisted it interfered with talking. Horn magic feats also eventually allow two "hand" holds.I don't recall how many feats that requires.
294. A bear and a small boar are trapped in a gravel pit. If the PCs let them out, they trot off together into the woods. If the PCs speak with animals the bear speaks in calm philosophical tones and the boar is just fearful. 295. A wardrobe contains a lot of clothing, and a magically-preserved ice sculpture of a satyr. Not a corpse, thankfully. 296. A monkey is perched on a fence post or other pedestal, wearing a crown. If the PCs approach, a goblin jumps out of its hiding place, yelling "that's mine!" In Goblin, chasing the monkey away. Though the crown appears valuable from a distance, If the PCs somehow manage to get the crown, they will find it to be worthless, cheap metal. |
