You've been recruited by Radaszam, the leader of the Acquisitives faction, to address a delicate predicament — that three important and valuable relics were stolen from the Society and have found themselves in the guts of a rampaging Daimalkan tekenki — and his indelicate solution — that you are to find their way inside the monster, retrieve the relics, figure out which of the Society’s enemies set this mess into motion, and return unharmed.
You begin on board the Brass Clutch, a personal starship of Radaszam. The brash and gregarious vesk has invested significant resources into this mission and hung his reputation on its success in his excitement at the prospect of landing on Daimalko, confronting a colossus, and retrieving relics from inside the monstrosity’s gullet. When you accepted this task, Radaszam made it clear that he’d be involved in much of the operation—and that he considered it the adventure of a lifetime to have a shot at such an impressive accomplishment. However, beyond these basics, Radaszam has yet to provide many specific details about the task at hand.

A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3-6.
The PCs travel to the library world of Athaeum in search of answers to what happened during the Scoured Stars incident. The planet holds secrets thought to be lost to the rest of the galaxy and viciously guarded by its self-exiled extraplanar curators. A contingent of Hellknights from the Order of the Pyre joins the PCs in their travels to the library, but these Hellknights follow their own mysterious agenda. As the PCs receive special dispensation to investigate Athaeum's vast records, they learn the first truths of the Scoured Stars and take their first steps in unraveling what happened during the Society's greatest mishap.
Content in In Pursuit of the Scoured Past also contributes to the ongoing goals of the Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo) faction. Content in this scenario also contributes to the ongoing year of the Scoured Stars storyline.
A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-4.
With a new generation of Starfinders already accomplishing great deeds within the Pact Worlds and beyond, First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo is ready to announce the Starfinder Society's next initiative that will define her tenure. The PCs attend a gathering at the Lorespire Complex to socialize with several visiting dignitaries, each instrumental in the Society's survival following the Scoured Stars Incident. Nothing is as it seems, though, and when Radaszam, leader of the Acquisitives faction, uncovers a plot against the First Seeker, the PCs need to step in and ensure the Society's public event doesn't end in disaster!

A vault opens inside the mysterious false moon of Salvation's End, and the Starfinder Society sends in a team of agents to investigate. About Alata
Alata, Huntress of the Fealindir tribe, has lived for 115 years in the isolation of her home jungle. She has never seen another sentient mortal race. Instead, she knows tribes of other elves, jungle beasts, the fey, and the occasional Fiend that appears. In particular, her tribe has warred with the Charau-ka, race of Demon-worshiping ape-men. Due to these constant threats, all members of her tribe are taught to defend themselves and their tribe.
Her tribe venerates the spirits and relies on their Shamans or Feakelma (Spirit Channels) to guide them. They believe that spirits are in all things therefore all things must be used respectfully. Some things like bone, metal, and animal products may be reused without harming the spirits within but for other things, like wood, forgiveness must asked before repurposing them. The spirits occasionally bond with an elf to allow them to better defend their tribe. Some spirits give magical powers, these sorcerers are called Faekila (Spirit Children). The spirits can also amplify a warrior's rage to drive them to supernatural feats. This is the path of the Feaohtar or Spirit Warrior.
Alata's spear is decorated with the trophies of particularly strong enemies. The tribe has special magic that can trap a portion of a spirit. Doing so creates a fetish. Warriors of the Faelindir uses these fetishes for power. They must be earned and cannot be passed down. Since she is so young, she only has one. Alata earned this when she wrestled a panther down singlehandedly and choked it to death. Its fang rests in a fetish near the tip of her spear.
Many in the tribe do not trust outsiders. The Shamans tell of a time when the Fealindir fought the Orcs in great numbers before banishing them out of the Jungle. Thus no Fealindir will willingly aid an Orc. This unfortunately extends to Half-Orcs as the Fealindir have ever contacted Humans and therefore do not know of the existence of Half-Orcs. They have no love of Dwarves though this is because of cultural clashes rather than martial clashes. They remember the Dwarves but do not speak with them nor know much of them at the present time. They know nothing of Gnomes, Halflings, or Humans.
Due to everything that isn't Elven trying to kill them, the Fealindir treat everyone with suspicion. The young members of the tribe like Alata are more welcoming and curious than their elders. She sees the potential in contact with a new sentient species and would jump at the chance to meet one.
10-minute backstory:
Step 1: write five things about your character’s concept and background, five things that you think are the most essential parts of your character. You don’t have to stop at five, if you like…this is just a minimum.
1. Alata is of a primitive tribe of Elves that have lived in the jungle since time immemorial.
2. Her tribe are animists. They worship the spirits present in all things. The tribe’s Spirit-Channelers (Shamans) speak to them.
3. She gains her barbarian rage not through anger per se but through a limited possession by bonded spirits (represented mechanically by the Spirit Totem.) She is called a Spirit Warrior in her own tribe.
4. She has long craved adventure in the outside world and has never seen a human in person before.
5. The spirits have chosen her to investigate why the spirit-touched (sorcerers) no longer have the power they once did. This gave her knowledge of the Common language so she can survive in the outside world.
Step 2: List two goals for the character that you, as a player, think would be cool to see accomplished in-game. During any session in which you take positive action to achieve that goal, I will award you an action point that can only be used in scenes furthering that goal. These Action Points are separate from the action points you gain by resting and reaching milestones. You can change goals later, though you lose all the accumulated Action Points for the goal you abandoned.
1. I would like Alata to learn Human culture including how to read Common and Elven. She would bring this knowledge back to her tribe.
2. I would also like her to discover the source of magic’s weakening.
Step 3: List two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
1. Alata is unsure once experiencing the life of a city if she actually wants to go back to her jungle.
2. The Charau-Ka, her tribe’s hated enemies, were preparing a raid on her tribe when she left.
Step 4: Describe three people that are tied to the character though blood, romance, or honor. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. All can do something useful for you, if you can get the situations to line up. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.
1. Leuthil, her mentor and shaman. An ex-lover who she is still on good terms with.
2. Magoldor, her trainer and huntsmaster. He trained her in the art of battle and would be proud to see her progress.
3. The Blood Whisper tribe: the Charau-ka tribe that harasses the Faelindr.
Step 5: Describe three memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
1. Every warrior must complete a worthy hunt to be a part of the sacred band that protects the tribe. Alata’s first dangerous solo kill was a panther. Its tooth adorns her spear as her first fetish trophy.
2. To gain her powers, she had to commune with the spirits. She entered a trance for three days communicate on an empathic rather than linguistic level with the battle spirit that now empowers her.
3. The first time she saw magic used in combat. Leuthil used a spirit of fire to blast away a raiding party of Charau-ka. It fuels her personal desire to fulfill the Spirits’ mission for her.
