To my fellow players:

Ven has the feats bodyguard, in harm's way, and shelter ally. This means that if you are within a 10ft of him, he can, with a reaction, give you a +3 to your AC against an attack and, if it would hit anyway, he can take the damage in your stead. I am more than happy to do this for your characters for I have built him to do so. If your character runs away from him, I will take that to mean that you do not wish Ven to intercept the damge. No hard feelings. If you are concerned about the party clumping and being vulnerable to aoe damage, Ven also has dampen (a vanguard talent). Dampen allows me to spend a reaction and an entropy point to halve the damage we would take (and possibly mitigate it completely).

He is also a large sized creature. I will take this moment now to apologize in the future for being in your line of fire, it is inevitable and I am sorry.

Ven also has a reach with all of his melee attacks of 15ft, so I can reach over you if you are a melee as well.

Lastly, I love this character, both the mechanics and his rp! As he is getting up there in level, that means the number of scenarios he can play grow fewer. As such, I'm in this for the fun and the rp. I look forward to your characters getting to know Ven.

To the GM:

Venizandrikal and Ziyass have a dragonkin's 'partner bond'. This does two things. First, we have telepathy to each other to a range of 100ft. Second, if we are within 30ft of each other when initiative is rolled, we both take the higher initiative result between our two rolls.

He also has blindsense (heat) 30ft. I got it because it felt very dragony.

Ziyass is a Pahtra Vanguard, bonded with Venizandrikal. She also has Bodyguard and can use a reaction to give an adjacent character +2 to their AC and then Intervene to take half of the damage from that attack if it still hits. :) She doesn't have the natural reach that Ven has, of course, so it is only for those directly next to her.

She also has the ability to make AoE damage worse if she is in the effect. :) She can add +2 per damage die. Ven and Ziyass usually use this with his breath effects since he has 2 of them, a 15' and a 30' cone.

I prefer playing up. With 2 high level vanguard, I'm pretty confident we will easily go through everything.

I'm easy either way. My skill bonuses will be quite poor for a higher level one, but Gunnz is okay being the baby of the group. With two vanguards around, she shouldn't be *too* squishy.

I could go either way. If we play down, Ven feels powerful. If we play up, I get more money. It is a win-win for me.

There are some arguments to be made about what this part means. However, my stance is that as engineering specialty tool kit is a specific item, I assume that is what was intended. All specialty tool kits provide a +2 circumstance bonus. Unfortunately, in all of the books there are only 2 specialty tool kits listed, armorcrafter and weaponsmithing. At any of my [GMed] tables, this ability essentially gives a +2 circumstance bonus to any engineering and hacking check as I read it that the custom rig counts as any conceivably applicable specialty toolkit. Some other GMs take the stance that you can only get the bonus to armorcrafting and weaponsmithing.

All of that said, if it applies to Computers, it only applies to hacking checks. So, for any Computers checks that aren't hacking, it would not apply.

My -701 is a level 13 mechanic. I have dug fervently into the wording of many of its abilities.

Oh, gods, I'm so sorry guys!

I mentally went on vacation for a few days, trying not to worry or stress about anything, but next thing I know I hadn't posted for near a week and that always stresses me/causes me to dread coming back, which means I procrastinate it and tend to lack the self-discipline to sit down and handle it. I haven't looked at the gameplay thread, and if needed can drop from the game. However, work is starting up tomorrow and it provides a good structure and down time to handle posting, and I need to try building structure to my days when I don't have work (as alllll my routines went by the wayside during this break, which is not good.)

Ahhh that old chestnut - it is deliberately vague and abstracted in Starfinder. This has come up in the Mounts conversation, as well as Drones (because some mounts are drones).

If you are large you can carry a medium.

For the couch - you are basically riding it not driving it, right? You tell it were to go, but it controls going there. So have the couch roll the reflex.

For Jump Jets - They won't get you high enough to enter the tekenki (30 ft)

There is no way that Threz can make the check for the pod on his own with his paltry +4. He might need help getting up and in.

So, I was curious and looked up the dimensions and weight of a human femur. :D

19 in (48cm) by 1 in (2.34cm) and 10 oz (290 gm). Unless the scenario reads differently, it can easily be moved by the spell. Even if it has some metal materials, it probably isn't going to be more than 10 lbs?

It's the size and shape of a femur, but it is not a femur and really quite dense. (Plus like most adventures, they block the easiest method in favor of dealing with the challenges put forth)

While it is definitely up to the crew, I was proposing no 10 min rests unless needed. While I don't know how the scenario manages it mechanically, in-game it definitely doesn't seem appropriate.

Edit: I am also willing to spend my own resources to bring folks back should death happen. Though, with In Harm's Way, I suspect that Ven not being the first to go down is quite low.

I lean towards no 10 min rests as well. The scenario isn't strict about time, but you are under some time pressure as the battle between the colossi continues.
