Hey guys. Since we've already got an envoy in the party, I'm considering switching out to a recently leveled up soldier instead of bringing Arratoi.

The soldier is a level 5 Dex melee build, so not very hard-hitting, but he's intended to be somewhat tanky-ish.

Any thoughts or preferences?

I'm kind of assuming that there will be a bit of social interaction in this, so having multiple face characters may be helpful.

Lily is very social, and has the highest AC I've seen here (plus more stamina and hp from being out of tier). With +4d8 trick attack, she can also deal damage.

So I'd say play who you want.

Just to jump in on the ongoing conversations: Faraeon isn't that great a "face", though he can be tricky with +13 Bluff or tough with +9 Intimidate. I can also help out Sunshine on Computers (+7) and Engineering (+10) checks, because operative.

Damage-wise, Faraeon won't be quite up to Lily's standard, being 3 levels behind her on trick attack damage, but he'll definitely be able to throw some flat-footed or off-target conditions on there to help even the playing field some.

I've been rocking a static arc pistol since forever, but just picked up an advanced semi-auto pistol for the improved damage. I also grabbed explosive rounds for the pistol, so that will throw in some fire damage if it's helpful.

Arratoi doesn't have much by way of weaponry. A static arc pistol and a hand cannon for electric and piercing.

Maybe I should get a frostbite pistol then, add cold into the mix. Might upgrade the old azimuth to a corona too. Neither are really significant upgrades on what I have though.

Armourwise I hope not to get into a fight, but guess a thermal capacitor might come in handy. Given I'm only just outlevelling the basic lashunta tempweave, and it fits her character, I think I'll leave the basic armor alone, and hope I don't regret that.

They said something about radiation in that briefing didn't they, so maybe a radiation buffer also.

Sunshine has lots of plasma, looking into picking up some new longarms in the near future to diversify damage types. Also plenty of spells, and can fabricate arms for whatever damage we might need.

By the way if anyone wants a full attack and move, sing out and Kultanien will tell you to Hurry Up - as her own damage output is not the best. Likely with operatives that won't be that helpful if you are trick attacking, but Sunshine might find it helpful for getting into position.

Thanks for the option. Sunshine isn't a soldier and normally doesn't full attack for fear of losing attack bonus, but if the situation calls for it then I'm happy we have the choice.

It's not been as helpful as I was hoping it would be when I picked it to be honest. I'm sure at some stage though it will be totally useful.

I just realised I was doing two standards this round, so edited. Which is probably a good thing, as it means Lily doesn't get healed this round, but stands to be healed a little more next time if she takes further damage.

Although with two envoys, that is two inspiring boosts for each of you between rests, so unless someone takes massive damage, we should be pretty good.
