Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Still in the poolhouse with Janie and Rakki?

Rakki takes a dive into the wave pool, surfacing soon after and bobbing with the waves.

"Hah! This is awesome. Maybe some time we could go to the ocean in my... well, nevermind. I guess I don't have a skimmer any more... But we could... well no that's gone too..."

He pauses for a moment, looking into the rising and falling water around him.

"This... this is good too. I uh... I'm glad I met you guys."

"Same here, Rakki." he says with a cheerful grin.

Lol. No worries. Even if he were being suave, pretty sure it would be wasted on Miss Oblivious here. :P

"Well, we can swim in salt water in the SIM rooms if we want," she said agreeably. "But I don't like the SIM rooms. My weather magic doesn't work well in there because none of it is real and there's almost no actual moisture in the air. It's just simulated moisture. Blech. Seriously, that place is like a desert. I totally prefer using the actual pool," she said, starting to focus on calling up a mostly gentle wind, waving her arm back and forth over the pool to get the waves started.

Gavin is equally oblivious to such things...he probably won't realize he has feelings for anyone until it's too late...

"Yeah this is way better!"
Once the waves get going, he dismisses his armor and falls in, another attempt at a cannonball.

"Right. Calm. I can do this," she muttered, sitting down on the wet concrete floor, and staring at the growing clouds. She could feel them growing as the heavy weight of the water piled up and up and ....oh, crap, no, she couldn't let herself get drawn into it. The last time she'd let herself get caught up in a storm like that she'd started a tornado in magical theory class.

The cloud keeps getting bigger and it's starting to get a little darker too. Electricity is jumping all over Janie's skin, as she stares at the cloud.

And then the electricity stops and the cloud breaks up into several smaller clouds, which drift slowly apart, the rain slowing and eventually stopping as the clouds become too small to sustain it.

"Woo! I did it!" she whooped. "I actually did it! Without inciting any miniature natural disasters on the way!"

Just smiles

"Told ya! Now, let's try to have some fun before we're caught!"

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

like this, only a dude.

He nods, as his armor shrinks slightly, then rises out of the water, hovering above it.

"Yeah, hey Janie, calm down, you got this."

The cloud that's raining on the slide has gotten notably bigger.

"Oh, thank goodness. That scared me! I was sure for a second there that you were gonna end up in the infirmary and we were all gonna get detention!"

Looks at the cloud brewing over the snakes

"We still might get detention..."

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Gavin sees Rakki rocket toward the edge of the pool, and immediatly summons his armor. A large, glowing hand stops Rakki as the water churns a bit, suddenly displaced by the huge armor.

Janie laughed in delight. "Now that I can do, no problem," she said, gathering up the excess moisture in the air and forming it into a cloud right at the top. It wasn't exactly small, per se. But it looked small since it was such a big room. And pretty soon big fat raindrops were falling down, soaking everything beneath it.

"That's perfect!" Gavin takes a run and jumps onto the snakes, riding the rainwater into the pool. He comes up a second later "You gotta try this!!"

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

"We gotta put em side by side!" he says, laughing.

There are swim trunks available in every shape and size in styles that range from ugly to uglier to what in the nine hells were they thinking. Apparently the best deterrent from theft is to make something that nobody actually wants in the first place.

Gavin finds a pair of Bermuda short looking trunks, and changes quickly. He looks for Rakki before heading out to the pool, assuming he followed him in. Not finding him quickly, he walks out, slicks his hair back, runs and cannonballs the giant snake.

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)
Janie wrote:

"Yeah, that could totally work! Well, at least it's worth a try," she said enthusiastically. "Okay, here we are," she said, opening the door to an enormous room filled with a large mostly empty pool. "Boys locker rooms are that way. I'll meet you guys back out here in a few. There are school swimsuits in the locker rooms so don't worry about not having brought one."

"Ok!" He runs into the boy's locker room, and begins looking for swim trunks.

"Floats, probably ya. Not sure about slides. They're not technically real snakes, so whatever we can manage with them. Slides maybe not, because you're just about as likely to fall off a side than make it down. But, I mean, never tried it before, soo..."

He trails off, adding a shrug.

"What if you put two of them side by side, and ride the valley between them down?"

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

"The snakes are bigger around than a tree trunk, so maybe not the best for in door use. They're actually more aquatic, but they work most places. Just not small ones."

His thumbs hang from his pickets as he follows Janie. He shuffles Gavin's hair with a grin. "Don't worry man. It'll be fun."

"Giant aquatic snakes? Oh, this is gonna be fun....and you obviously don't understand the scale we have to work with here....we have to go to the swimming pool now...."

Just shakes his head, watching the wheels turn in Janie's head.

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)
Janie wrote:

"Ooh...possibilities....and here I was just planning on turning the third floor showers into a snowstorm.....but now that snakes and tigers are on the table, well...that changes everything," she said happily as she contemplates the best way to make use of the available resources.

"Oh, great...she doesn't need any help with ideas..." he says to Rakki, following Janie out.

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)
Janie wrote:
"It'll be fine, Gavin. Just some minor harassment. No big deal. You worry too much," she said, putting an arm around his shoulder and ruffling his hair before jumping back, laughing.

That immediately snaps him out of his funk. "Oh, alright. If you're not worried about it, then why should I be, right?" he says smiling.

Janie wrote:
"Hey, you're welcome to come hang out with us too if you want, Rakki. I'm sure we can find some way to keep ourselves entertained," she said, a hint of mischief in her smile.

He smirks "Yeah, and you can join us for detention too probably."

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)
Janie wrote:

"A little bit, but nothing I can't handle. I'm just glad to hear that he isn't taking it out on you. Pretty sure it's nothing serious anyways. Just the usual. I made trouble so that makes the troublemakers think I'm competition," she said with a cocky grin.

"But we should probably go now, yeah, before this ends with more detentions..."

Gavin studies the group for a bit longer, then seems to snap out of it.

"No, they haven't done anything to me yet...I hope it's just prankster shenanigans. Hate to see people get hurt over something stupid like pride.
Let's get out of here. Nice to meet you Mr. Okane."
The tone of his voice changed a bit as "Happy bright" Gavin was just replaced with "I really hope people don't get hurt" Gavin.

"Gavin, you been having trouble with Helt in classes and stuff or is it me he's trying to irritate?"

"Huh?"

He blinks, and turns to look at the boys who just got warded off.
"Oh, him. No, at least I don't think so. If it is aimed toward me, he needs to try harder...is he being a jerk to you?" He gives the group another look, as if he's examining them with different eyes.
"...yeah...albums..." is all he gets out concerning Rakki's comment, distracted as he is.

"That's ok..." He tries not to seem disappointed but his shoulders fall just a little bit on hearing neither of them actually knew him. "I've got some music crystals back in my room if you guys wanna listen some time."
He takes a leaf out of the wallet thing and stows the wallet as he shakes the maple leaf with his other hand much like a developing polaroid. With a puff of white smoke the leaf is gone and replaced with a bottle of pale orange soda he immediately stops shaking. It seems to come from the leaf already chilled and he pops the top of it with his thumb that for just a moment is topped with a bottle opener.
"Well, an autograph is a signature of someone famous, usually to prove that you've been in contact with them, but sometimes of value on their own. I don't know why people want them, I just sign it."
Apologies for not taking the weather witch intro. Rakki just really likes to talk about himself...

"Sure! Janie says I should listen to more types of music, I can listen to yours too, I guess?"

I typed that, now have Jane says stuck in my head...

Rakki Okane wrote:

"I was the professional musician. As our friend said, Rakki Okane. Afraid I don't have anything on me for autographs, but I'm going to be here for a while if you'd like to get back to me."

He doesn't seem to be rude intentionally. He's very sure of himself in a rather practiced way. As if he was expecting to be bombarded with pictures of himself to sign at any moment.

He's still listening as he pulls a small sort of wallet type thing from a chain on his hip. He starts to quite literally leaf through it as it seems to be filled with different types of fresh green leaves.

Forces down a bite

"Oh, I've never heard your music before, I just heard other students talking about your stuff..." He goes to take another bite, then blurts
"I'm sure you're really good though!"

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Gavin brings a tray of food over and plops down at the table with Janie, he smiles at her and Rakki, but doesn't interrupt.

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Gavin spends his time like usual, attending class, studying, and hanging out with Janie. Her pranks are almost always questioned with a "are you sure?", but he enjoys them none-the-less, and will happily spend some time in detention for their shenanigans, accepting the punishment as the price of disobeying the rules.

Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

Being his very happy go lucky, and kinda naive, self, he will happily spend his lunch period chatting it up with Janie.

"...so I can be useful in a variety of ways. I can even..." His armor swells back up to medium, and grows another pair of arms, now all four arms have a shortsword in them. "...grow another pair of arms. I'm not very good with them, but if I ever need to fight while reading a book...I'll be good to go!" Male Human (Elan) Aegis/Soulknife (16)

"Ok cool...umm." he looks around, and get up, and moves away from the table a bit, making sure there was enough room. He then in a split second is floating off the ground, surrounded by large purple-ish red translucent armor. A split second later, he has a large glowing greatsword as well. "Well, I have PE, of course, the basic one. And Meditation. Last class of the day. I have basic arcana, music, study hall, PE, nature magic, and meditation. Nature magic stresses me out. I mean, I'm a weather witch. Why do I care about all this other crap with plants and animals and so on...I can't do anything with that stuff....and I tend to summon thunderstorms when I'm stressed out, or at the very least high winds, so I guess that's why they thought I needed meditation. I still haven't once seen the teacher either. There are instructions on a blackboard at the front of the classroom when we get there. Usually something weird like contemplate a pebble."

"Yeah I'm in the other PE class...I don't know why, really. When I came too...I uh figured out that I can surround myself with magic armor and summon swords. I couldn't do it before I got messed with, I'm pretty sure. So I have to take classes to understand how my mind powers work, and I think meditation is so I can learn to maintain my 'focus' whatever that means. But sounds like we may have study hall and meditation together. We can share our boredom!"
