It is way too early in the morning and I have said goodbye to my cat before stepping out to wait for JDDylexia (Jpe) and Iammars (Jen) and already events conspire to frustrate us. Current highlight? Joe's unfamiliarity with the maze-like structure of Rhode Island's roads. On our way to T.F. Green!

Venture Captain Dennel Hamshanks’s quarters aboard the Hornet’s Nest sits in uncomfortable silence, as the hirsute groaning blob of a man looks uncomfortablty between the normally composed Zarta Dralneen, who herself is awkwardly shifting in her chair, repeatedly glancing across the table they are seated at at a stocky halfling with short salt-and-pepper hair and practical black clothing. He picks at a fleck of food, looking at the door to the cabin impatiently. Where the #$^% are those #$%#$^& agents?

You are kobolds of Absalom’s Sewer Dragon tribe. Made strong, perhaps the strongest, thanks to an alliance with the Pathfinder Society, your tribe has many enemies seeking to test its newfound might. Chief Yiddlepode, wise chieftain of the Sewer Dragons, knows that her alliance means nothing if the tribe can’t defend its territory. For the past several months, the tribe has sent its best and brightest on scouting missions throughout the region, repelling others from intruding on the Sewer Dragons’ rightful domain.
As the latest group assigned to protect the Sewer Dragons’ interests, you have received orders from Chief Yiddlepode to make contact with an ally of the tribe—a peculiar otyugh (even by Kobold standards) by the name of Hats. Constant supplies and the occasional tribute have endeared the otyugh to the Sewer Dragons, and Hats now acts as further muscle for the kobolds as well as an additional set of eyes and ears in the sewers. Hats informed one of the tribe’s gutter runners that he has an important captive for the Sewer Dragons to interrogate.
Your orders are clear: find and interrogate Hats’ captive. Discover what intrusion has taken place within the domain of the Sewer Dragons and deal with it. Above all, don’t risk the tribe’s alliance with the Pathfinder Society!

As you make your way to Hat's Lair, you mull over that information you do remember.

Knowledge (Local) DC10+:
Chief Yiddlepode’s alliance with the surface dwellers of the Pathfinder Society brought much power to the Sewer Dragons tribe. The Sewer Dragons stockpiled
a considerable amount of armor, weapons, and magical equipment through trade with Absalom’s merchants via Pathfinder intermediaries. Pathfinder allies carry magic compasses called wayfinders.

Knowledge (Local) DC15+:
One of the first sewer dwellers to swear allegiance to the kobolds of the Sewer Dragons was an otyugh named Hats. As one would expect, this particular otyugh has a fascination with humanoid headwear, and the Sewer Dragons provide such items as tribute to the beast to keep it complacent.

Knowledge (Local) DC20+:
A section of sewer close to Hats’s lair once connected to an unfinished section of underground tunnels. The area collapsed into ruin following an explosive
demonstration from the tribe’s former alchemist, Yippitok. Scouts whisper of movement in the broken caverns.

Knowledge (Local) DC25+:
The ruined section of tunnel near Hats’s lair is actually used by allies of the Pathfinder Society. These people working for something the surface dwellers call a "museum". Whatever that means.

Hello everyone! I am currently auditing a shaman who happened to get access to a pipefox as a familiar through a boon. This character then took improved familiar so that they could benefit from having a pipefox. Unfortunately, while there was an FAQ earlier about whether or not shamans could benefit from Improved familiar, it did not specify if they could "retrain" that class feature and get an improved familiar (and by that I do not mean bolster the existing familiar, but acquire a different familiar that wasn't previously available at first level).

So I suppose my question is: is there any way that character could have managed to change their familiar from what they had to the pipefox?

The fourth and final day of training has come to a close at the Grand Lodge of Absalom, heralding the end of this year’s Torchbearing. Pathfinders the world over attend this annual symposium to share their knowledge, teach each other new skills, and reinforce their connections across the Inner Sea and beyond. To celebrate the end of festivities, the lodge has hosted a grand banquet in the visiting agents’ honor. A refreshing winter breeze blows through an open window, flickering torches and sending papers scattering. The smell of freshly baked desserts fills the air while initiates clear away the remnants of the first course.

Everywhere you look around, you see smiling faces, good cheer, and as always during these festivities, that one group of Pathfinders that has somehow managed to mess it up and find themselves on guard duty during the final meal before you all return to your regular assignments.

Motes of dust float in the air as the midday sun shines through the skylights of the museum roof. Several scholars and students move about
the bookshelves and display cases on the main floor and the balconies above, while some are hunched over tables piled with heavy tomes. I understand that no new material will be published for PFS with PF1 as the underlying system, leaving PFS players interested in playing seasons 0 through 10 to delve through the material at their own pace, with games dying out in their own time.

I would ask though that consideration be made not to retire the Expanded Narrative boon for use in those seasons (without any crossover from season 10 to season 11). It would serve as a carrot to continue to offer games for those who still wish to play the old scenarios and just can't find a GM, and would allow prolific GMs to perhaps close the book on certain favorite characters.

As an example, if I ran games from season 2,5,6 and got some of the tiers completed I could replay anything from season 0 to season 10.

I have no particular wants or desires for any Expanded Narrative boons for season 11 and beyond, save perhaps that it exist. In any case I hope that this request can garner some support from the OPF.

Remember how in early scenarios we would get a "limit 3" flaming arrow or something like that? I though I saw either a blogpost or a clarification that said, essentially "from here on out any of those special items can be bought for any projectile". As in, my season 2 chronicle that has a limit 2 "+3 Merfolk-bane sling bullet" can be purchased as a "+3 Merfolk-bane crossbow bolt" or "firearm bullet" per that clarification.

Did I dream that? Or misunderstand something? Thank you!

Under instructions from Master of Swords Marcos Farabellus, a gathering of several hundred junior Pathfinder agents is assembled in the main hall of the Grand Lodge. The reason for the gathering? Imperial Cheliax has appointed a new representative to the Society, and the envoy has a few words to share with those who care, or have been made to care by summons from the Master of Swords himself.

Furthermore, if you could all provide me with a copy of your character sheet before we start that would be swell. A pdf format file would be ideal. The reason is not to audit you; but to get an idea as to what I'm dealing with here.
However if I do see things that I question, I'll be messaging you for a quick explanation as to who, why, what and where. :D

Finally, I do not honestly think you'll be ready for the season 4 special in January. However, if you are looking to get to level 19.6666667 before you play it, then this shouldn't be an issue. If this is a deal-breaker, I'm sorry to see you leave.

Trust that I won't leave you and your Seeker characters out to dry without at least an attempt at an OOC update at least. You have my word on that: You won't be stuck in PbP limbo.

We are starting on October 6th. The post in the Gameplay tab is purely for OCD reasons.

Venture-Captain Holgarin Smine puffs at his pipe as he looks pensively at each Seeker in turn from his comfortable seat in the room above his forge. "Unexpected message. From a Technic League Captain. She's requested our help. Little information. Turmoil in Starfall of late. Seems legitimate though." He nudges a bag with his foot, and a couple of skymetal ingots fall from it. "Sent this along. "For the Society." Payoff? Peace offering? I don't know. You're the most qualified I have on hand." He sighs, clearly troubled, sets his pipe aside to pour a cup of wine before offering it out. "Questions?"

I offered to run book 6 of Iron gods in PFS mode for a yet-to-tbe determined group of people. But as I'm reading up on it, I have questions not about the content and its transition ot PFS, but with teh setup.

To me, if you have not played the preceding 5 books in either mode with the character you are bringing in, you shouldn't be getting the benefits of items found in those books. However, one doubles as a plot item and should come along with a number of sub-items that define the last area.

Spoiler:
Cassandalee's AI Core is an item that is not just plot-related, it also brings some very tangible benefits. I applaud that in these sorts of adventures, but I struggle to deal with it and the associated cores the PCs should have found on a very basic level. In my view,
if they didn't play it, they don't have it. But i'm afraid of it being too overly harsh.

Furthermore, through their progression they should have come across an item to make their lives a lot easier. [spoiler=Doors are awesome!] If they do not have a prismatic casrd, I can already see the series of wrenched portals left in the player's wake. Should that be given to them? Or should they just hope to find one within the ruin? (which they do find about 1/2-way through, if they look around.)

What are everybody's thoughts?
