Female Caucasian, Australian Nurse

Eloise and Chelsea remain in the back of the SUV, pistols drawn. Eloise watches out the rear window to see what is happening behind them, and Chelsea watches the events unfolding ahead. Eloise hears Chealsea whisper "Shiiiit" in a surprised voice as gunshots got off. She turns and sees the others inspecting the minivan and a body on the ground. "This is getting crazy," she says as she turns back to watch out the back, not wanting any other surprises to sneak up on them.

"If we can get to Chelsea's group then we won't need supplies. I'm not sure detouring off into the suburbs is such a good idea. But I'll go along with whatever everyone else thinks."

Eloise lowers her gun out of sight in the back of the car as the people in the front talk to the soldiers. "This is crazy," she thinks to herself as they speed away and watch the missile hits the bridge.
"I don't much like the idea of heading towards a Military Base. We had somewhere we could go, but I'm not too sure that avenue will still be open to us with all this crazy going down." She turns to Chelsea. "What do you think? Will they still be accepting people into the compound?"

”We’re all better that the people outside,” calls Eloise at Brian’s question.
She watches what is going on outside the car with increasing dread, but still has time for an admonishment at Brian’s choice for the car’s interface.

Eloise watches out the rear window as the car speeds along. While maintaining her rear vigil, she glances occasionally between Chelsea beside her, and the rest of the group seated in the mid and front of the car. "What the hell is happening," she mumbles under her breath, loud enough that only Chelsea could hear.

Eloise walks over and crouches down to inspect the head. It’s gnashing teeth and eye rolling focus on her and ts as if the head still has some kind of rudimentary intelligence. ”Fascinating,” she whispers to herself.
”El, we need to get out of here,” calls Chelsea from next to the cars tail door. She pops the boot and folds out the rear seats, throwing both hers and Eloises bag into the back never climbing in.
Eloise takes one last look as the head before bolstering her gun and sighing. She begins walking to the rear of the car, climbing in and squeezing herself in next to Chelsea.

"He must be on some pure grade drugs. There is no way he should be able to stand, let alone walk with wounds like that. By all accounts he should be dead."

Female Caucasian, Australian Nurse

Eloise pulls up as she sees the man continue to shuffle towards them, wounds that should by all means have killed him apparently doing nothing to halt his progress. She reaches into her jacket and pulls out her pistol, raising it to aim at the man as he staggers towards Nick.

Agility Roll to pull pistol from Jacket: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Yeah, with that roll she ain't gonna be doin' much else this round but pull out her gun...

Eloise hugs Chelsea, and then turns back to the man on the ground. She had thought that he was dead, which was why she hadn't gone to help him, but seeing him start to rise, she thought she must have been wrong and starts to hurry over, he arms held out before her in a placating gesture.
"Sir, if you'd just lay back down. You've had a critical injury and I'd like to help you, but in order to do that you need to be prone."
He gets to his feet, his leg barely able to support him and his milky eyes turn toward Eloise. She feels a chill run down her spine as that dead glare fixes on her and she knows instantly that the man before her is most assuredly dead. Her hurried rush towards him falters and turns into backpedaling.

Eloise disengages from her Spex and turns to Brian and sighs. "No luck, can't get through on any line."
She turns once more to Chelsea. "Are you sure you're alright? Do you need me to take a look at you before I have a look at our friend down there?" She nods in the direction of the dead man.

Eloise stares down at the man they all just killed, then to Chelsea being helped up by Brian. "I... I..." she shakes her head to clear it. "What in the Hell just happened? Are you alright Chels?" She rushes over to her friend and hugs her. She notices the blood on the machete in her hand and pulls away. She looks around, but seeing nothing else handy, she wipes the blood off on the dead man's shirt. While doing so, she spies the belt, and it seems she's not the only one as Brian bends down and casually takes the whole belt off him.
After putting her machete back into it's case, she turns to the others.
"I don't know what happened here, but as he said" she points at Dennis, "we can all agree that that was self defence... or at the least trying to protect my friend, right?"
"I agree that we should get out of here, but I also think that we should call the police to report it. We should call them on the way. They may be busy at the moment, but reporting it now will save us a headache in the future." She cocks her head ever so slightly, the universal sign of someone accessing the phone on their Spex.

Ahhh cool sorry I must have misread their actions, I thought they'd gone to the street and the cars were there.

Eloise looks stunned as the crazed man jumps out of the car and attacks Chelsea. She debates pulling out her gun or machete, but figuring that the gun would be too hard to aim into the scuffle, she draws her machete from it's pouch and steps forward to attack the man. Apparently she isn't the only one who had this idea as she sees two of the other men step forward as well.

Atlas, I believe drawing your weapon and then attacking incurs a -2 penalty to your roll for multi-actions (p.66)
Attack with Machete: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 (d8+3-2)
WILD: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
So I belive that means I take the 7

Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (3) = 5
RAISE Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Eloise wanders around the Pharmacy, but all of the things that she might need have already been taken. Upon hearing the gunfire, she glances over at Chelsea. Chelsea had the same idea and motions her head towards the door. They both walk back out towards the food court and notice some of the other patrons moving towards the ground level. They follow, not wanting to head back towards the checkpoint and the gunfire.
Coming out onto the street, they look at the different cars available. Gazing longingly at the nicer security cars, they head towards the Automus cars, apparently having the same idea as the other people from the food court.

DM:

Eloise smiles as Chelsea approaches, and they begin chatting over their food. They had just decided to at least check out the shops before they close, when they hear the angry voices echoing down the hall. They glance at each other and thinking the same thing, quickly wolf down the last of their food. She picks up her gear from the floor and they begin to head towards the shopping portion of the plaza, taking a circuitous route while trying to avoid the other food court patrons.

DM:
She picks absentmindedly at an average Caesar Salad from the Automat as she glances around at the other food court patrons. In between sizing up her culinary companions, she glances at her spex screen, waiting patiently for Chelsea to return her text.

If I wanted to use a Machete, would I use the stats for a Dagger, Short Sword or a Survival Knife?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have my basic concept down now Pat. I'm playing a Nurse, who does some martial arts weapon training, and shooting practice in her spare time. So she will be a bit of a Paladin. lol

She'll be an Australian on holidays (sensing a theme?). :D
