So we gamed this past Sunday, we finished leveling, bought our stuff, and got into one fight.
Personally I still think Pathfinder 1e ended too soon. There were a lot of things I would have liked to have seen(see various wish lists). We didn't even get any compilation books like one that has all the classes(and their variants), a bestiary that has all the remaining monsters from the APs/modules, "Ultimate Equipment 2", etc. We still haven't gotten all the pocket versions of the hardcover books.
I started with 2nd edition D&D, then got into 3.0/3.5, but really love Pathfinder 1e. Plus I spent so much money on Pathfinder I had no interest in spending more on a new system.
Glad I didn't sell my books, though I wish we had pocket versions of Mythic, Unchained, and Ultimate campaign.
Just make it easier to jump, the DCs are really, really high and it is a fantasy world, let us have fun.

We played this Sunday, the first fight was a Carnivorous Crystal, not too bad. But the second fight with 2 advanced broken soul Frost Worms was another story.
I don't miss carrion crawlers, any low level creature that has several chances to paralyze in a round is just broken.
Our last game(this past Sunday) didn't happen but we already new that from the game day before.
A chlorine elemental would be deadly.
That player races had better/more racial abilities(Catfolk- cat's luck claws, climb 20ft, low-light vision, scent, skill bonuses, and speed 35) and better racial mods(Human- +2 to any two stats, Dwarf- +4Con +2Wis -2Dex, etc.)
I wish we had more types of magic, other then arcane, divine, and psychic. We would have creativity, primal, rune, shadow, sorcery, and witchcraft.
Dr. Johnny Fever, the Shaman should have been the Cha based spontaneous Druid caster. Such a missed opportunity. Also we almost got an archetype that did the same thing but was changed at the last minute.
My Pathfinder 1e gaming group is still going strong. This site just isn't as active as it used to be.
We gamed last Sunday, finally got out of that hut and are now on Triaxus defending a fort.
Yeah PF1e is still my favorite tabletop game.
I still think Constructs and Undead had Con score, just keep the immunity to fort saves that do not effect objects. I agree that vermin should have had a Int score(1). Just have them immune to fear effects. Also maybe animals should have an Int range from 1-6.
It would be nice if the Alchemist got bonuses with alchemical items and could even enhance them. Also an ability to create alcemical items without gp costs for x number of times per day would be cool. I wish there were mid and high level alchemical items as well.
Yeah attack rolls and saves are the only ones that have the automatic success on a natural 20 and automatic failure on a natural 1. Though I do wish combat maneuvers worked that way as well.
Magic items having better save DCs would have been nice.
We gamed this past Sunday, got through 3 encounters this time. We might be(33% chance) heading to the final fight in Volume 3 of Reign of Winter.
I think the Alpha test Half-Orcs had different racial mods.....if I remember correctly it was +2Str +2Wis -2Int.
So how long have you been coming to this site? I know I came here some time in 2009 but didn't become a member until December 2010.
I miss a lot of things like when Pathfinder 1e was still a thing, I miss Dragon/Dungeon magazines, I miss when I had a reason to be more active on this site, etc..
It is always fun to hear people's how I got into Pathfinder stories.
We gamed yesterday, finally leveled 9. Only got into one fight with 2 ghost barbarians.
I think the ability to get free ranks in 1 or 2 skills that are very much part of the class would have been nice as well. examples Alchemist-Craft(Alchemy)
The ability to pick 4 additional class skills would have been nice.
Well if Paizo did a lot more things that people kept asking them to do then there wouldn't have been so much need for third party stuff.
Dragons and giants from mythology in general.
We did not play this time being that our game day would be on Easter.
PF2e Remaster? I wish Paizo would release a compilation book of some kind like a Bestiary 7, Ultimate Equipment 2, or Class Compilation book(every class including variants plus maybe all the bloodlines, rogue talents, oracle mysteries, ki powers, etc.) but I know that will never happen.
This August will be the 15th anniversary of Pathfinder 1e. I know it is a little early but it's the right year so whatever. I wish Paizo would do something cool for 1e but I know that isn't going to happen. So who else feels old? Any plans to celebrate for you and/or your players?
There are a lot of archetypes that could have used a complete redo. Also some for the unchained versions as well.
We avoided one combat, fought one, and finally got to sell our stuff after like 3+ character levels.

I love it when Paizo gave us Kaiju, shame we only got stats for 7 of them. So anyway lets talk about kaiju. Agmazar(CR26 Undead, Mythic Realms)
Looks like Pathfinder 2e did a book that describes more of them. Cimurlian looks like a massive polar bear, eyes glow like stars, massive ice shards grow out of her body wich has many animal bones in them. Igroon is a towering saurian covered in thousands of tessellating chitinous plates, numerous electric blue eyes seemly spread on it's face. Jakabu resembles a massive flying whale with ghostly flesh and sunken red eyes, always surrounded by undead seagulls, flying fish, and stranger creatures. Mantraska resembles a massive raptor covered in greenery, head and body looks like mountains, legs like fallen trees. Shbloom resembles a massive cuttlefish with a 100 tentacles. Yorak resembles a massive rhino-like with jade eyes and surrounded by storm clouds and green lightning.
Nice to see some more people posting how they got started.
Finally got to play, didn't get that far, but at least it was something.
Our last game session got cancelled....so hopefully the next one will be good.
Sometimes a impulse buy can give you something greater then most planned purchases.
It has been so long since Dragon Magazine was a thing....that brings me back.
Cloak of Hedge Wizard for only 2,500GP gives you two at will cantrips and two 1/day 1st level spells(different variants for each school of magic).
Your the first one I have seen who posted on this site that found out about Pathfinder from the video games.
Well it has been several months.... time to revive this one.
Started volume 2 of Reign of Winter, didn't get much done but still got through three encounters(two combats, none of us made our perception checks to fight those gremlins). Also spent good chunk of the session buying stuff.
We will be starting volume 2 of Reign of Winter next game day.
No, the Shaman is a mess, should have been the spontaneous Cha based Druid caster with totems(ancestors, animals, spirits, etc.). I do plenty of damage with my kineticist at range though yeah they are very strong in melee with kinetic blade/whip.
Got a lot more done with our last session, more then likely will finish volume 1 of Reign of Winter by next game session.
If there was an unchained Shaman, I would want it to be a Cha based spontaneous caster with the druid spell list and have totems(their bloodlines/mysteries) such as animal spirits, ancestors, dragons, fey, elementals, etc.
