Our DM was sick, so we didn't get to play this past Sunday...another two weeks to wait.

If there was an unchained Shaman, I would want it to be a Cha based spontaneous caster with the druid spell list and have totems(their bloodlines/mysteries) such as animal spirits, ancestors, dragons, fey, elementals, etc.

Will the 1e ones have additional printings or when they are out, they are out?

Unchained Monk's Flying Kick is awesome.

I still think many classes should have gotten increases to speed as they level...Bard(+10), Kineticisit(+10 to +30), Magus(+10), Ninja(at least +30), Ranger(+10), Rogue(+30), Shifter(+20), Slayer(+20), Swashbuckler(+20).

Not related to unchained but would have been nice to get a complete hardcover book full archetypes both new and redone older ones to fix a lot of these issues.

It's a shame we never got an Pathfinder Unchained 2 or even a pocket version of the first one.

We had our game yesterday, leveled our characters to level 3, and avoided 3 fights and that is it really it.

So I was wondering what all the boons are for getting the Mantle of The Black Rider?

I remember the +2 ability boost + count as Baba Yaga's "minion" for purposes of wards.

Wasn't there one that gives you a +1 bonus(per mantle boon) to one stat for a minute?

We just got to 3rd level at the end of our last game session. Though that means we will have to take up a lot of time with our next game session with leveling.

All martial classes that do not have any spell casting should have 6+Int skill points.

Fighters should have Perception as a class skill.

Fighters should get a bonus to their will saves that is doubled vs fear effects.

Would love for a Unchained Sorcerer to having a choice of bloodline powers like the Oracle has for revelations. I would say around 7 for the class plus the "extra feat". Or at least had bloodline powers at level 6 and 12 in addition to 1st, 3rd, 9th, 15th, and 20th. Another option could have them keep the original bloodline powers and add 4-7 "bloodline boons" at various levels. Bloodline boons could add more abilities that fit the bloodline, abilities that add extra uses or enhance existing bloodline powers, or just add generic abilities like darkvision, energy resistance 5, etc.

Change bloodline skills to add more class skills of your choice as an option and gain free skill ranks in one of your bloodline skills.

That is hard to choose though a level 20 Monk(unchained), Kineticists, Oracle, Sorcerer, or CR20 Dragon.

I like the idea of the Ranger getting wisdom mod on knowledge skills.

I think all casters(9th, 6th, and 4th) should get +3 spell slots and maybe a few more 2nd and 3rd level spells slots. All casting classes should get cantrips.

I think cantrips should do more damage and all casting classes should get at least a few damaging dealing ones. Like bards could get a sonic based one, clerics could get alignment based ones, etc.

I like armor training for fighters though I think the play test version increased AC.

As for weapon training, I like the fact the bonuses are added to weapon groups but it could have used more. Like special abilities/skills/techniques with those weapons.

Personally I think most of chromatic/metallic dragons look better in Pathfinder....except Red Dragons.

Our last game session was cancelled so hopefully we will be gaming this Sunday.

Our DM doesn't really use homebrew, for the most part by the rules and only uses an optional rule if it is "official". It took a lot of convincing to use one non-official optional rule to get rid of stat boosting items and give everyone an ability point every level after 1st, the drawback is 25% less treasure.

Yeah, there is scaling cantrips in 2e but spells no longer scale by caster level wich is really lame.

I hate 2nd especially for reducing the number of spells each level especially early level spells. If anything I think we should have more 1st level spell slots to start with, maybe +3. Now as for cantrips I would be fine if they just increased the dice damage by two steps and let you add your casting stat mod to damage.

I didn't care much for the Stamina/combat tricks rules. Still would have preferred an actual Unchained Fighter. Also unchained versions of Shaman and Swashbuckler as well.

I still think all martial classes should have 6+Int skill points. Non Int casters should get 4+Int skill points as well.

Cleric- more class features especially ones based on their choice of deity.

Fighter- love bonus feats but still should have had more/better class features.

Ninja- abilities based on their clan, so a shadow clan gives them shadow magic/powers, another one gives monk unarmed strike/AC(Cha), oni clan turns them into a oni, dragon clan grants draconic powers, another clan gives them sneak attack, etc.

Samurai- complete over haul with ki powers and maybe some law based powers similar to the Paladins holy powers.

Shaman- I just want a Cha based spontaneous Druid caster.

Sorcerer- Wish it got a choice of bloodline powers like the Oracle did. keep the 20th level bloodline power as is and give more bloodline powers.

Swashbuckler- should have gotten a good fort save, Dex to damage built in the class, and maybe a few other tweaks.

Wizard- I am just curious of what an unchained version would have been like.

Well I know sales have gone up for Pathfinder 2e and 3rd party companies because of Hasbro/WotC stupidity. Hopefully sales have gone up for Pathfinder 1e as well.

Hopefully there will be reprints for the pocket versions...still a shame we didn't get all the 1e hardcover books as pocket versions.

So what classes do you wish got the unchained treatment in Pathfinder Unchained?

Keep in mind the book came out in 2015, so no classes that come out after this book like the Shifter. So basically core classes, ones from Advanced Class Guide, Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Combat, and Ultimate Magic.

For me the Fighter, Ninja, Cleric, Samurai, Shaman, Sorcerer, and Swashbuckler though I would have been fine with unchained versions of all the core classes as well as the non-core ones I mentioned.

Aquatic
Celestial
Draconic
Elemental
Fey
Phoenix
Psychic
Unicorn
Starsoul
Verdant

Personally have no problem with people getting a unicorn as a mount/companion..... Also griffons, dinosaurs, some dragons, etc.

I am also curious if OP's wife got that unicorn.

I wish we got unchained versions of Cleric, Fighter, Sorcerer.....hell maybe all the core classes plus Samurai and Ninja.

Still mad we never got that Cha based spontaneous Druid caster class.

I really wish we got a better Shifter. So much potential lost on that one.

Unchained...
Barbarian- is meh(in fact why didn't we get Fighter instead)
Monk-is awesome, so much better in almost every way...though you do loose good will save and poison immunity.
Rogue- is a complete upgrade, better in every way.
Summoner- for the most part weaker but has a few interesting ideas.

I would have been surprised if Paizo made any more 1e products...now with the recent news I would say never.

Too bad we never got pocket versions of the remaining 1e hardcover books.

We played last Sunday, had one death(Inquisitor) and our Gnome Arcnaist almost died. We did get to have our Inquisitor raised but lost out in 500GP per person reward for saving that noble woman. So glad we finally got to 2nd level.

More Dhampir feats other then ones related to blood drain.

What book was the machine element from?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Legacy of Dragons, another fun softcover book especially for the Scaled Fist archetype, love having a Cha based monk.

Would have been nice for more martial archetypes getting armor training.

Too bad we will not be playing again till next month. I hope my character survives this campaign, been enjoying playing my monk.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

We played this Sunday and had much better luck, no one dropped to 0 HP or bellow this time. We are still level 1 but will more then likely be level 2 by the end of the next session.

Also would have been nice if the Weapon Focus feat was for weapon groups.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

"Extra" feats are not that strong, feats I think are strong are some meta-magic feats, item creation feats, and especially the leadership feat.

So is there a Extra Ki Power feat from 3rd party?

3 people marked this as a favorite.

We have four players for Reign of Winter

Aasimar Unchained Monk(Scaled Fist)
Aasimar Shaman
Gnome Arcanist
Samsaran Inquisitor

Also using an optional rule that we loose 25% of wealth for an ability point gained every level after 1st. No magic items that increase stats such as belts, headbands, tomes, manuals, etc.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Forgot about that book.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I will update what classes/characters will be eventually. Right now I am deciding from a Aasimar Unchained Monk(Scaled Fist), Human Sorceress(Unicorn), or Catfolk Kineticist(Air)(Overwhelming Soul).

Next game day we will be making characters for Reign of Winter.

I really wish we got an Extra Ki Power feat for Unchained Monks.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Their are a few optional rules I really like from Pathfinder Unchained but I really do like the Unchained Monk. Too bad they never gave us an Extra Ki Power feat for that class.

What book is poison resin in?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Well the game mechanics/class abilities really sold me on Pathfinder but yes, the APs are fun as well.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dhampir and Void go very well together....especially with that archetype where use Cha instead of Con.

Personally any element could fit Catfolk...except maybe Water.

Machine element?

Yeah, Kineticist is one of my favorite classes.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Interesting.

I found Void and Wood elements to be interesting, just wish they got as much as the first 5.

Wow, been a couple of years....I really need to look through my old books again.

A feat that gives anyone 1-2 at will cantrip(s) would be cool.
