Ezranadir casts Hideous Laughter & calls out, "Hey Corla, did you hear that Viralane fell through the floorboards? ....She was just going through a stage!"

DC: 17 Will save. It lasts 5 rounds & afflicts the subject with uncontrollable laughter. It collapses into gales of manic laughter, falling prone. The subject can take no actions while laughing, but is not considered helpless. After the spell ends, it can act normally. On the creature's next turn, it may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect. This is a full round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If this save is successful, the effect ends. If not, the creature continues laughing for the entire duration.

Corla should still be under the effect of the Flare and be dazzled with a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks for another 9 rounds.

Ezranadir frown's at Viralane's comment and wonders if something is amiss. He pulls out parchment and quill and hastily writes something down, scratches it out then continues writing. He thoughtfully looks it over then nods. Standing up he goes looking around for a Lute player. He asks if they can play a tune as he hums it to them. Satisfied, he awaits his turn on stage.

"Good evening! I am no Bard, have no skills in playing or singing but am just a simple traveling Elf who was picked up on the Tyalee's Whim. There I witnessed a performance by Madame Viralane Barvisai which inspired me to compose this. I have just finished it just a moment ago."

He signals to the Lute player and starts to sing;

Lute Plays.

Not a Lute but all I could find so click link as you read.

"When this time-lost Elf
Boarded onto a boat
He did not perceive
He would end up afloat.

When the sea-beast attacked
An armor-crested fish
Many men met their end
With no one to hear a last wish.

This Elf survived alone
Adrift with no way
To make it to land
What did his plight have to say?

A ship spotted his dinghy
And pulled along his side
They saved his life
and offered him a ride.

Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty
'Cause spells cost a plenty, oh
So toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty.

As the ship sailed the sea
A storm was a-brewin'
Which soon over took them
Would it's fury bring ruin?

The mighty ship pulled through
Thanks in part to the crew
And her passengers aboard
Acted in the best accord.

While making their repairs
The armor-crested fish returned
But the Heroes worked as one
To slash and hurl spells that burned.

That's my epic tale
Rodric's Cove Heroes prevailed
Defeated the sea-beastie
Now pour us some ale!

Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty
'Cause spells cost a plenty, oh
Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty.

Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty
'Cause spells cost a plenty, oh
Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty.

Toss some coin to your Wizards
'Cause spells cost a plenty
'Cause spells cost a plenty, yeah
So toss some coin to your Wizards
Yes, spells cost a plen-ty."

As his performance ends, he raises his hands even if there is no applause, "Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week!.....At least until the Tyalee's Whim puts out to sail again." Satisfied, he goes back to sit down.

Mylow also speaks up, "We discovered that this was a site from approximately 1,000 years ago and had carvings to the horrific glory of a man named Akmajet whom led an Undead army against the city of Sothis. There was also a shrine dedicated to the God Set. We discovered Osiriani inscriptions but could not decipher them and a trap was discovered at the entrance which is marked by chalk. Not much else was discovered."

"As for Nefaram, that explains why the permit was delayed in being granted. Hopefully you can discuss this with the Osiriani government so they can see if there are any others like him who should not be working in such a position."

Mylow bows to everyone else as he leaves. "Travel well and far my friends."

That was pretty anti-climactic. I assume we searched the rest of the site and did not discover anything else? No Osiriani treasures of note? etc.

Mylow looks around and asks, "Where are the rest of your team? What have you uncovered about this site?" He moves behind a column and when out of sight motions for the rest of the group to spread out and mouths "Fake" while pointing to his hand. He comes out on the other side of the column pretending to be inspecting it.

Mylow does a quick scan of the room, "Hmmm, no Nefaram here either. We should come back to these rooms to document them in detail after finding him unless he has already done so but right now I am doubting it."

Mylow continues looking for traps and heads to room #4 door, listening then checking for traps. If it is clear he slowly opens it.

Responding to Tempest, "It is very important. We are here at the permission of the Osiriani government and permitted to perform a duty for them and representing the Society in the process. We are here to investigate and make this area safe for the archeologists to follow. If we do not complete the job to their satisfaction, repercussions could happen such as the Society as a whole be forbidden from entering the country. Travel and trade can be affected."

"If this Nefaram is not a Pathfinder then we need to determine who he is. Is he just a common criminal trying to loot this site before anyone has a chance to research and document it's history? Is he trying to do something to the Society to set us up? Maybe he is just looking for information to raise an undead army as detailed in the carvings. Either way it cannot be for good. If he had a permit then it is either forged or someone else in the government could be behind this. We need to uncover what is going on."

"Everyone please continue to keep your eyes and ears open."

Mylow stops mid search, whispering back, "I am more concerned with where this Nefaram is. If he saw the trap, why did he not mark it. If he did not see it then he got lucky but that still does not explain any markings as to where he has searched and deemed areas of interest over the past weeks. Besides, if there is a trap on this door all of you would probably be affected if it goes off." He mimics an explosion then choking, sticking out his tongue while rolling his eyes to the back of his head as if dying. He smiles and goes back to searching and will slowly open the door of room #1 if it is safe.

"Thank you, sir! Just doing my job." Mylow stands and dusts off his hands. He proceeds to put away his tools. "This way seems obvious but since it was trapped, I think it may have to be a diversion from the true path."

He points to the eastern path, "I would say we should try that way and see if the paths converge. If not then we'll have to just brave the corridor with the disabled trap." He takes out some chalk and writes on the floor "TRAP!" in front of the trapped corridor. He will continue to look for traps as they proceed.

As for whether he thinks that is a relation.....Whoa, whoa whoa. We have hit a Midnight here." He points to the pressure-sensitive panels in the floor next to where he and Samantha are standing.

"Now that is a trap! I would recommend everyone stand back just in case it gets set off while I try to disarm it."

He pulls off his backpack and pulls out his "Tools" and lays them out. He meticulously views how it can be disabled then asks, "Samantha, please hand me some of those shims in my pack. Thank you. Cross your fingers."

Mylow takes one of the offered dates and tries it. He listens to the Venture Captain's briefing and is about to ask questions when Meadow & Silence boisterously enter the room. He looks quizzically around at the rest of the group to see if they know her or if this is a normal occurrence.

Not quite knowing how to take her entrance, at Meadows greeting he just responds, "Uhhm...., right." He awaits the interchange between the two friends and as Roahn continues with his questioning,

He turns back to the Venture Captain, "Sir, what does the permit detail in regards to how this site can be accessed and excavated? Are we to only investigate it or if we uncover any artifacts, are we permitted to extract them? What dangers may we encounter as encountered in other discovered sites or the surrounding terrain?"

He will ponder on what type of dangerous creatures they may encounter on their trip to the site in this type of terrain.

Sounds good to me. Here is the details for a Climbing Kit for whoever to use: Climbing Kit

Maybe two at a time? We should still use a rope to tie the two climbers together. Would all the others be in any danger from falling rocks or such waiting at the bottom? If so can they move back out of the way or is it not possible. Are we over analyzing this? Can we just say that with the experience our characters have they utilize the equipment they have and as safely as possible make the ascent and just apply any modifiers to those climbers? Or is this part of a skill challenge that needs to be figured out?

Gammer brings forth the mechanical device and places it on the table in front of the delegation. "First let me point out that all those in attendance were effected, not just the formians. This device is what caused all of the chaos. If you look closely, there is a piece of bone fragment imbedded and wired within. We believe this fragment was taken via neurosurgery from the Fallen Queen of the Broken Hive. We noticed a hole in her skull at the time but did not know what it meant."

"Furthermore, we discovered a ship had landed outside of the site. We believe this has all been planned well in advance. Oh no! When you level, get at least 1 slot in a profession. The money adds up and most advancement is money based as you know.

And when you do, make sure to purchase a Professional Tool Kit (20 Cr) as it adds +4 unnamed bonus to your skill roll as well as Professional Clothes (5 Cr) adds an additional +1 Circumstance roll!
