I am quit comfortable with the voices in my head.
My inner 6 yr old girl child walks up and says "He IS 'TOUCHING' ME!
I reach down and lift up on the hatch door in the floor. It opens revealing a stairway going down. "OK down Little Miss Bumble Sneakers."
Walking down the stairs I say "Stand still Laddy. How can you have any pudding if don't eat your meat."

Dizzy is not only a physical condition with me. It is a state of mind, an uncomfortable state of mind. It makes you doubt every step both physical and mental. I fall nearly every day sometimes it is because of vertigo but sometimes it is bad decision making. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease since 1995. I have received the best care from University of Alabama At Birmingham both physical and psychological but even so I have had bouts of sorrow and despair when the Exit seemed the way to go. I am glad that I woke up in the hospital it was such a radical solution for a temporary emotion.

Not to be confused with SCREAMING BANSHEE that makes you lose control of your feet and you yell safety!
Safety-dance!
Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance
We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world

All the schools started on Monday here in Alabama. They had active shooter drills at Macadory High School last Friday. That is just a couple miles down the road. We live in interesting times.

Nothing like that new car smell is there? Keep oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid topped off and a lot of your car problems will be headed off. Anytime you stay ahead of a problem it's a good thing it will save on hours of sitting on the side of the road waiting on a tow. Don't let it get to you, there will always be car trauma at the wrong time.
Have you named your car yet? They get kind of cantankerous when they think you don't love them.

What of those movies that have so much going on artistically, but falls short in the story department or the acting was just over the top?
I loved "Hellboy" it had a unique vision, good story, and the acting was spot on. "Hellboy II The Golden Army" is a beautiful movie from top to bottom an eyecatching film, acting was passable, but it was short on story.
"Dune" was stunning artistically and the story was pure Frank Herbert. The acting was unredeemable even Patrick Stewart did not give a good performance.

We are all just time-travelers, living in this very moment and all too soon to be born into the next moment and the present has now passed into the past. We can only remember the past, we can only plan for the future, the only moment that matters is this one, what are you going to do.

Yeah I was concerned when the doctor gave her Oxycontin, but she went off that stuff with out too much trouble.
The bad news is now she has tasted Opioids. Tom, she has a weakness to them now. She will need to be watched from now on.
I know because I have the taste for them. In 1997 I had stomach surgery. They gave me Morphine and put me on a Morphine pump machine with a trigger that released a dose every 15 minutes. I wore the trigger out on that pump the first 4 days by the 8th day I ask them to take it away.
With my Father being in such pain, they put him on Morphine. So it was in the house, it called out to me. I resisted it, but there for the grace of God.
The good news is got off the stuff early. Just watch and be careful about how she might be tempted.

TODAY IS BETTER DAY I am getting along. It is a relief and my father leads the way as he always did. Now I believe that our time limited to a short number of days. In those days we must pack a life with all the joys and sorrows; all the heartaches and triumphs; all the paths not taken and the journey that was traveled. Then we sleep.

Analyze this!
"He reads in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in his aspect and his eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er his face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!"

Thomas Seitz wrote: So today was definitely a near snow-meggedon here in Morgantown, WV. We got at least 6 inches in under 3 hours. Fortunately the schools had already called for 2 hour delay...and then fully canceled. Unfortunately for me, I still had to go see ONE client (the other two had texted me/emailed me not to worry and that one or more of their respective spouses would be home for dog care.) So while I enjoyed romping around with a puppy in the snow (And BOY does she romp!) it was less thrilling driving through near frozen slush and still falling snow and having some stupid guys in truck barrel past me at break neck speeds on roads I doubt Iceman could traverse.
But in any case, today is my day to sit inside and enjoy warmth until it all melts away by Monday.
Stupid global warming ruining my winter wonderland...
You got our snow from Tuesday night. All my best wishes go out to you. Everybody in Alabama was relieved that it passed us by. I guess it landed on you. SORRY.
"Balance of Terror" is so Great I think I saw it was in 1970 it didn't look dated then and now it doesn't look dated today.
"City on the Edge of Forever" is the same way. They are two of my five favorites of 0ST. The other series were all great for separate reasons, I have been a trek-key from WAY, WAY back.
thanks you ya'll for your prayers

Since then, I've been documenting the adventures of Monkey Santa. Among other things, he's posed for a portrait with the Dowager Doggess, he stole my phone and took a selfie, and most recently, he's gone over to the Dark Side of the Force.
I find this all WAY funnier that it probably merits. Filing under "Something Weird I Really Like."
The Dowager Doggess is an impressive looking beast quit noble. Is she a breed or a work of lucky circumstance. either way, I think she is beautiful.

it is a dungeon dudes night for me.
HERE IS A DOCUMENTARY ON ANTS
https://youtu.be/vt7jGGroF0Q
I have come to the conclusion that I a going to run D&D characters with skills and feats. The system is more intuitive and will use their monsters except for goblins. I like Pathfinders interpretation of goblins a lot better. I like the artwork& Design of Pathfinder more, but the system is clunky. The playtests are better with Proficiency system were everything calculated the same. The classes need some work though to capture the spirit of the game.
Both are deficient in helping the Pcs forming their characters.
Hey folks! It is Saturday night somewhere around 7:00 pm not a game to play!

Maybe they'll convince the others to try some new systems when we finish playing through our GM's heavily modded Kingmaker.
I have a few modules I found online for inspiration for the Legend of the Five Rings game, and a few campaign ideas I've had bouncing around for a while, but if anyone has any ideas for hooks, arcs, and other stories that's familiar with the setting, I'm willing to hear!
I am heavily invested in the Monte Cook universe in time and money. My brother is a Midevil kind of rogue on a frozen/ cold desert world, it was the landfill planet so they were all scavengers. He more or less quit to go to the beach

Well, let's talk a little about gaming. I picked up the D&D 5th edition so, I have been getting a feeling for the game again it is different than the original manuals. How are they different from Pathfinder? Do you really think one is better than the other?

Tobacco has that earthy smell like wet rusty iron and it had a tangy smell like dried peaches. I would spend all day hanging around my Dad's pipe-rack sniffing the tobacco jar. Dad would then light up a pipe and it would smell like burning trash, a smell that would scrunch up my face.
I going to change gears here. Can we talk about CLOWNS!!! With all due respect to Emmit Kelly and Red Skelton, all other clowns make me leary. A painted on face never shows its true emotions, this creeps me out. So clowns annoy me.
