Getting it early is not a benefit of the subscription, and never has been. Getting a free PDF is the perk, and for most products that PDF comes when the product is shipped, but for big edition changing releases they hold off so that everyone gets access to it at the same time, rather than having spoilers barrage people who haven't been lucky enough to get theirs yet or are waiting for the launch date.

You can say that, but most people I know who get the subscription get it so they can get the pdf early lol.

I guess a more important question: Why didn't they state this in advance?

FYI, copies have started to ship, but unlike usual, instead of the PDF being available when your order ships, there is just a note that it will get added to your account on the 31st.

Do we know why this wasn't stated before? Many people mostly sub to get it early.

Yay! Thanks for the work on getting this out. Excited to see it when the FAQ page gets updated.

I'm glad we now have stats for Zursvaater, who seems to be the closest Greatsword deity to having Edicts and anathema closest to Gorum. I don't like the idea of former Gorummites changing their ideals and fighting style after his death.

I think Razmir is missing (sort of joking)

Wow, love the flavor of Foretell Harm. Which Mystery is it for? Bones?
Seems like it is open to any mystery perhaps.

I thought so at first too, but "Each mystery grants a cursebound ability at level 1 to let them draw on this power, like Foretell Harm." makes me think each individual mystery gets a different one, but I might be reading it wrong.

Excited to see the keywording of Dirty Trick. Maybe that will be the Rascal's panache action?

I don't really like the idea of (gain-panache, finisher) being even better than it was before (compared to the idea of saving panache and just making strikes with a mild bonus damage), but I hope they have accounted for it.

DARTING STAB [two-actions]
FLOURISH
The giant wasp Flies up to 15 feet and then Strikes, or Strikes
and then Flies up to 15 feet.

From what I can tell, the wasp advanced maneuver doesn't do anything that it couldn't normally do when commanded.

How does this start at level 18 if the adventure page says it ends at 18?

First on the list are an adventure and adventure path that have already been announced. In July, we’re releasing Pathfinder Adventure: Prey for Death, a 128-page hardcover adventure for 14th-level characters, written by former Paizo Developer Vanessa Hoskins. In this adventure, you’ll play members of the Red Mantis, the notorious and mysterious assassins guild and cult of the mantis god, Achaekek, who must clear their names when treachery threatens to besmirch their honor. Not only is Prey for Death the first tie-in to the War of Immortals storyline, but it’s also the debut of the new ongoing format of the Pathfinder Adventure product line!

What does this mean

btw, do Awakened Animals have any restrictions on hands? Like, even if you are a snake or something, do you count as having two hands for the purpose of items?

Yeah, people complaining about it are telling on themselves. Even at early levels, Magic Weapon is significantly better spell to prepare.

Spellstrike cantrips are still nukes.

I really don't know why they reprinted Elementalist with less spells
I thought the point of them reprinting it was to expand it

this is an awesome blog! As someone who likes building characters, the change to casting proficency adds so much! I love that you list reasons for the changes. I'm so glad you all changed Acid Splash.

Musical Accompaniment seems a long stronger than comparable cantrips, such as Guidance, Sense Time, Infectious Enthusiasm, and Forbidding Ward.

No limit on how often you can cast to get the bonus, you get the bonus on every Performance check for a minute, without sustain. It feels comparable to level 1 bless.

It's suddenly by far the best ancestry cantrip for Battledancers, Gladiators, Pistol Phenoms, etc., when it doesn't really seem like the type of thing that's trying to shake up the meta *this* much.

Especially being Common, which makes it slightly easier for a player to sneak it into their build without GM approval.

It says they are thrown weapons here:

"Bombs are martial thrown weapons with a range increment of 20 feet."

And this fulfills all the requirements of the Thrower's Bandolier.

page 72 of Impossible Lands says that Alkenstar is 93% dwarves, that has to be an error, right? Dongun Hold is full of dwarves but is a different location.

The text on Stab and Blast is unclear.

Quote:

You slice or smash your opponent with the melee portion of your weapon before pulling the trigger at point-blank range. Make a melee Strike with the required weapon. If the Strike is successful, you can immediately make a ranged Strike against the same target with a +2 circumstance bonus to the attack roll. This counts as two attacks toward your multiple attack penalty, but you don't apply the multiple attack penalty until after making both attacks.

If you miss the first melee Strike, does this ability still count as two attacks towards your multiple attack penalty?

Disappointed a bit on keeping Con, but my main reason for disliking it was skill-related, and that's been addressed here.

Vision of Foresight is pretty damn strong for what it is. Letting you roll with fortune on any one or two action skill check makes them the best at Recall Knowledge, Lying, Hiding, etc, without any resources besides being in their Trance, which they can easily activate whenever. Maybe something to check for errata.

Dear Golarion's Finest,

I've recently purchased your newest guide, and I was quite impressed with the wide array of writers! How did you manage to get a Rakhasha and a former Assassin to write for your newest book?

Dear devs/des's/paizo/K.H.W., is there any way y'all could release higher quality versions of the maps from Dark Archive?

I'd love to play these adventures with my friends over Foundry but the maps from the pdfs are too small to look good.

I go with useful rather than useless as the RAI myself.

Also I see nothing in the feat that suggests that the DC changes.

Cognitive Crossover is probably the most OP RK thing if the DC is the same. Especially with stuff like Loremaster.

Why would that be ?

It is a 4th level Skill feat after all. And it uses your Reaction. It needs to pack some punch.

Late because I don't check the forums, sorry.

It just increases your chances of rolling a success on RK compared to most other options in the game, on a skill feat.

It's almost on-par with the Knowledge domain initial focus spell.

Hey, everyone! It's been a sec. I don't have any new errata at the moment, but I'm hoping to get the ball rolling on a new batch in the coming weeks. We appreciate all of the great feedback and information you've been providing in the thread so far. Don't hesitate to share your questions, errata, or requests for clarifications, even if it's a book that's already received an entry in the FAQ. We're always logging these!

I'm here with another request. Since the last batch of FAQ covered the Ancestry Guide, I'm hoping to have the next FAQ update focus on the Pathfinder Society Guide and Mwangi Expanse. If you have any clarifications or errata for those books, let me know! We have an internal list of changes based on existing posts and stuff we've caught internally, but the more you can bring to our attention, the better!

Thanks again for your help and I look forward to getting another update out soon!

I also have another thing I noticed. Anadi aren't actually really good at climbing until level 9. At level 1, in spiderform they aren't flatfooted while climbing. Not being flatfooted while climbing can be nice, but it doesn't mean your PC can actually climb well.

Halflings are quickly climbing by 1 with Sure Feet and Orcs by 5 with Athletic Might, Anadi have to wait for 9 for their assistance to climb.

It just struck me as odd due to their spidery traits that they would be "behind" in this way.

This isn't really a "mistake" I think, but I thought I should give some thoughts on the Fighting Stick:

The Fighting Stick's traits don't really leave a good place for it. It can't be used with Ancestral Weaponry on Monk because it isn't Agile or Finesse. This is something I found odd because it would have seemed a perfect fit thematically, as the traditions described in the fighting arena almost seemed monastic in a sense, and it certainly fits with many of the combatants not wearing armor.

It's a d6 weapon but is backswing instead of agile, which is mostly a downgrade. As it is, the only benefit is that Barbarians can use these weapons better.

It being Strength-focused makes it hard for any Halflings to actually use.
