![]() One big piece of advice I can offer is this. If you want something to work a certain way and it goes against the general rules of pathfinder don't be afraid to play with it. One of my favorite things I've experienced in dnd is that moment where the wizard of the party is like "I'm sorry but that does not work that way" and the dm responds with "yeah your right that should not work that way.... weird isn't it...." ![]()
![]() Yea the fey could offer fast transportation for people to join the pcs in the Frey, maybe take one of the orphans that the council women adopted becomes badass in his own and then later on he could come to their aid in a big way. Or maybe the fey could grant each of the pcs a weapon of some kind that is magical and powerful with unique powers or something ![]()
![]() Hello forum members so I plan on run an adventure with a pup that's basically a church to Cayden cailean and one of the coolest parts of the religion is that drinkers will make bets with each other for little to nothing with each bet getting more crazy until 1 better will bet the other to take the star stone challenge which is a nod to cayden cailean himself. But I'm having a hard time coming up with a lot of these bets so here I am! 1. See which one of the 2 of you can throw a copper piece into another patrons drink. ![]()
![]() I have a few sugestions, first try to play untill you've encountered what you feel is 90% of the combat rules as having a dm who knows all the rules for combat is important Second there is a guy named spoony on YouTube I recommend his counter monkey videos to anyone looking for insite into DMING And finally you need to know your place, you are the story teller, pathfinder is not a game of dm vs pc's it's a game of pcs vs story and you are there to tell that story. You should also think about your enemies in an intelligent way is this enemy smart enough to be able to 5ft step? Would this enemy charge head in without thinking? If the enemy knew the pc's were coming or knew their battle tactics would they fight differently? Ect ect... Point is you should have a game/world that feels alive and in motion Many adventures make the mistake of the bad guy not showing up until the pc's get there. Also don't ever hesitate to ask for help everyone here on this forum is there to help and 99% of us are super nice (the other 1% are the gnomes.....) ![]()
![]() Greetings everyone as of late I've been playing a game that just left the steam early access the games called darkest dungeon being inspired I decided to start making a campaign out of the game more of less, now the first big hurtle I've come across is that in the game they use a stress system which causes your party to become stress with the effects go from a minor chat dialog to your character having a heart attack, so I want to implement something similar to this with a point system so I'm looking for advice on a few points:

![]() My suggestion is you make is a personal quest for him alone, he'll appreciate the attention and since he's changing to a God of secrecy and what not he won't be too in the spotlight anymore, my suggestion is to make the quest happen 1 night in his dream, make it clear that if he fails in the dream he will be punished or worse in real life, and make the quest something where he's runing from gorum or his lackies for not being faithful and norgober and his minions end up saving him, and for dramatic effect when he wakes up have everyone standing around him as he's been writhing in pain for hours after everyone woke up ![]()
![]() Not gonna lie, but this is all really disheartening, after all that it seems there really is no reason to ever play a fighter, I'm still gonna stick with what I wanted to do because u really want to play around with heroic defiance/recovery and I'm not trying to optimize all out, I'm trying to fit a character idea. Thank you everyone for your advice ![]()
![]() hello Foum friends I am planing on finally start my WotR adventure here in the next week or 2 and im planing on running it non-mythic 25 point buy, im allowing the players to use the new multi classing rules without having to give up the feats (im hoping this buffs them up enough) and I have plans to give them all templates later on if things get too hairy for them, Im here asking for how that sounds and for advice on anything I should/should'nt do. I also plan on starting the adventure above ground with the party getting to roam kenebras on the day before meeting in the crowd at the right time (or wrong time depending how your looking at it) to fall into the caverns any last minite advice anyone can offer would be great thanks forums! ![]()
![]() My favorite bard concept is one where you grab the spell focus feats to enhance your sleep/charm spells while also grabbing the disarm tree to help out taking down tough guys mix in some combat feats with some cleaverness and you have an interesting character. and i always start off the campaign by confusing the dm to no end. I start by buying 3 large sacks burlap or whatever. I then go around town filling the sacks with caltrops (a realistic purchase) the second I fill with glass (whether it be wine glasses or whaterve) (with the glass in the sack I then smash it on the ground so the bag is full of glass bits) and the last bag I fill with feathers (I use these if I ever have to get into a city or castle or soemthing) my character then uses a rapier and crossbow in combat and sings for his bardic performance. |
