so my character is focused on archery and that is my focus but that doesn't mean there wont come a time were she HAS to engage in melee combat that is just how the game works so id like to be at least semi competent at it.

The keen scent feat with the pheremone arrows sounds really cool but I dont love the idea of having to rely on having these arrows on me as ammunition count is not something we usually keep track of at our table (unless its that kind of campaign)

I think im just gonna go with extended bane as its just a good feat for any situation

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and suggestions.

Id like to take a moment to give everyone more information on my character, and talk about which suggestions I like and which ones im probably not going to pursue.

SO first my half orc does not have endurance because she has sacred tattoo which goes along with my fates favored trait.

second while I like improved initiative since I get both my dex and wis mob to my initiative I dont feel like i need this feat as much.

combat expertise is a feat that our dm has nixxed so I effectively have it for meeting prerequisites.

now my inquisitor worships gorum so once she has the gold she will be using the headsmen greatsword so im inquisitor is not opposed to melee combat

improved dirty trick actually seems like a really good idea that I had not thought of! so my current line of thinking is either improved dirty trick or extended bane

oh sorry I knew I was forgetting something I recieved pointblank shot and deadly aim from our adjusted feat rules and my lvl 1 feat was precise shot and my lvl 3 feat was rapid shot

Greeting pathfinder community my half-orc sanctified slayer/infiltrator inquisitor just reached lvl 5 and im trying to decide which feat I should take.

thanks to my dm using adjusted feat rules my current feats are:
Point blank shot
Rapid shot
deadly aim
covering fire (Teamwork feat from class)

my current ideas are:
extended bane (+3 rounds thanks to wisdom mod)
Extra bane (+3 rounds)
weapon focus (longbow)
something else?

any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hello forum members, my dm for our new campaign said we get 2 traits but only from the original book, so my question is what book features traits first?

5/7

7/7 with rice

Als my end group have taken to using the elephant in the room feat adjustments for all of our games, because there are a ton of fun interesting and flavorful feats to pick from but when all of your fighters are REQUIRED to grab power attack to feel like they are making optimal choices it leads to staler games, plus those feat adjustments make combat maneuvers a fun tool that anyone can access not just for those who are specializing in 1 kind of combat maneuver.

The only issue I've run into with two characters for each player is the players often times feel like one of there characters is in the wheel and has personality while the other is kind of retagated to only having a personality when role play involves that character specifically. However this is just from my own personal experience it may be different with other people and other characters

Inquisitors get some teamwork feats and there are some good ones for ranged archery you should look at!

Me and a buddy are running mummies mask and we're close to the end of the adventure and we each are playing 2 characters, basically we started with a full party but as people left and when not it was just the 2 of us, my buddies oracldin and my knowledge monkey bard, anyways the dm allowed me to roll up a second character so in addition to the bard and paladin we now had a summoning focused cleric (the summons helped immensely through out the campaign) and then a whiles later seeing the lack of high lvl arcane casting, our dm gave my buddy a sorcerer to play.

I politely disagree, maybe if the only character you play are mini maxed but for the player looking for flavor prestige classes can be awsome, play a chesinardo warden fighting back against ironfang legion or playing the inheritor crusader and remdeemimg the undead that have been forced back to unlife. To a player who cares about roleplaying a lot of things are awsome!

You could also do 5 lvls fighter and go into devoted muse get your charisma to ac, get panache stuff, and give the class features a great bonus since your using a times 4 weapon

Well it really depends on what your character is based around, you could play a fighter and grab the weapon focus and specialization feats and do a ton of damage, or you you play a war priest of pharasma and use your divine might to send undead back to the afterlife. There are a ton of options available, it really depends on what you invision your character being like.

SO I've decided to stick with the charisma based build because our party is lacking a face,

I have decided to take my lvl 4 stat up in con to get raging vitality at lvl 5, and to sure up my will save at lvl 7 for my first bloodline feat I'm going to take iron will, and then I'll pick up Improved iron will later on

depending on your campaign seething hatred could be very good!

Well the other option is too use a stat line like

Stats: no oracle dip
18
14
14
10
10
12

I like the oracle dip cuz it makes my character have a higher ac plus it makes my character a good face.

Also I haven't even thought about spells

Also your right raging vitality would help alot, I guess our party has alot of dex based characters so losing the cha to hit/damage for ranged wouldnt be the worst

DM okayed the trait, and the charisma to hit and damage only works with star knifes I planned on only using them if I need to hit flying things and use a falchion for my main melee weapon

So I'm planning on playing Bloodrager and I was hoping people her could look at it and see if I've missed anything

Alica
Half-elf: Kindred raised
Bloodrager: Primalist archetype Arcane blood line
1 lvl dip Oracle: Lore mystery, for sidestep secret

Stats: (20 Point buy)

traits:
Barbarian of society
Warrior of old

Feats:
lvl 1: Noble scion (war)

lvl 3: Power attack

lvl 5: Divine fighting technique (Desna)

lvl 7: Scale and Skin, Disruptive

lvl 9: Imporved crit

lvl 11: Critical focus

lvl 13: Bleeding critical, Spell breaker

Rage Powers:
lvl 5: lesser beast totem, Accurate stance

lvl 13: beast totem, greater beast totem

Looking forwards to your opinions and advice!

oh boy another errata my group is going to ignore cuz some erratas just kill the fun, some are justified and some are god sends but this one seems minor

Rogues can do non lethal with their sneak attack, check out the sap master feat and you can do a ton of non lethal sneak attack damage

I had a buddy play a rogue that went into red mantis assassin he focused on disguise and bluff and he made parts of the early campaign ridiculously easy.

yea a lot of people look at the paladin code of conduct as this super strict break it and your a terrible person rules set, but if the story requires bending you can bend, as a paladin if you need to bend the rules for the greater good do it! a good GM wont punish you as long as you dont push the limits of it and have a good reason, obviously if you start going on a killing spree sacrificing women and eating babies then your probably gonna fall. Just use common sense and have faith!

I know its not a druid but a tiefling ranger with the shapshifter archtype pick up armor of the pit feat and with claw and maw racial trait you can get your natural attacks going play like a bear could be fun

There was a setting book lands of conflict but no true players guide yet, the first module makes reference to the campaign traits being related to the specific locations that you need to visit in the first part of the first book

idk about you but this is a great AP for paladins or any worshiper of Iomedea who specialize in using a long sword/bastard sword hint... hint...

Really?

Hello forum im looking for the Adventure path that has the most dragons in it does anyone know?

is there a players guide for this adventure yet?

Haunted collector is a big dpr boost? Is it better than battle host

Shameless bump

Can you explain a little what you mean by that shroudedinlight

Lvl 15: ???

You could stack divine hunter and tempered champion for the extra feats plus the free precise shot feat

Ohh channeled smite and guided hand! Wisdom to hit and channel negative energy for the damages

You could use a slayer talent to get trap finding and be rogue like with your skills. I recommend focusing on archery as it isn't erastils favored weapon, maybe go quiverless style?

There is a paladin archetype that gives up spells for combat feats with your lvl count as fighter lvl, plus you get sacred weapon progression

Thanks!

I am also thinking of getting the blade of the rising sun magic weapon but I don't know how many undead are in this adventure just wondering how effective of a weapon it would be?

Hello lovely forum members I am joining a group to play curse of the Crimson throne the anniversary edition and I want to play a samurai my question is would this adventure path be an okay adventure for me? I mean past the obvious issue of not finding eastern weapons and armor.

As someone who mightbe dming this one day, There is alot of talk of spell book using caster support in this adventure which makes a wizard or arcanist very attractive I was wondering if either in a spoiler or a PM if someone could give me a little more detail on the specifics of this support?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

And crude! Name the weapon that always misses crude and then incombat you can shout danmit crude!

Obviously if the door is locked from the other side you would then require the party to bust down the door, or sunder it or something.

Don't forget your imagination is a very powerful tool !

Hey don't forget you can have doors be broken or stuck and require a strength check, or hey don't forget there are somebody locks you just can't pick from one side just food for thought

Yea man I love the guide, first time in a long time that I've been wanting to play a fighter

Might also be worth mentioning the bullying blow feats while only available to orcs they could be a great way to play an intimidate build

As far as warrior spirit goes you might want to also mention being able to add bane and greater bane, as those 2 can add a lot of damage if your fighting a specific type of enemy

Still confused how the training property works with warrior spirit advanced weapon training?

Archer paladin definitely smite +rapid/many shot =dead dragon

Awsome grab use some slayer talents to get minor/major magic rogue talents and you get get endless ammunition that way
