Gilver wrote: These look sweet! Any chance of getting a Gunslinger style class in the future? Maybe something more space cowboy esque? Honestly if you want a gunslinger style class you just use an operative and specialize in pistols. They get a bunch of tricks for that including being able to shoot without provoking if using pistols. ![]()
It sounds like some things that were feats became weapon traits, I hope there are ways to focus on a weapon and perhaps be able to get traits out of it that it does not usually have. I also hope they do not go the route of Starfinder and make it so only 'rogue' weapons will be able to be used for sneak attack, or if that is true they at least let you open it up with a feat. ![]()
Interesting to see the early and tentative thoughts on PFS transferring from First Edition into Second Edition. I will weigh in that I am fine with starting over completely I think the best solution is to just start fresh. I am honestly not a fan of people who have stars getting a discount of any sort on their way to whatever Second Edition will use. With the sole exception of being able to trade some of the older race boons in for that same race in the new edition I am not interested in trading out boons. However if it is not possible to trade in old race boons for ones in the new edition, I will not be upset. ![]()
Honestly rather glad to not be converting over my characters from 1st to 2nd edition. Looking forwards to a fresh start in a fresh campaign actually. I just really hope that the first edition of the Bestiary starts to open up some of the more popular races, or I suppose ancestries now. I know people have mentioned Tengu, but it would be nice to see a more balanced Aasimar and Tiefling allowed back into society. ![]()
Red Raven the Gritty Reboot! Also I notice this is all told from an unreliable narrator. Though gotta love Galt "All men should be equal, but you have tainted blood from ten generations back." As my Paladin said "It is telling that the guy from a country literally run by assassins thinks Galt is crazy." ![]()
It seems that either that, or the Decemvirate are essentially a case of convergent magical research. Sort of the way blades in Pathfinder at least have some affinity for grabbing and binding souls. As evidenced by things like Soul Drinker, Final Blades, or the Field of Ten Thousand Swords. It would make sense if masks magically are associated with protecting your identity. ![]()
The reason is that Chelish High Opera is performed in Azlanti. It is also important to remember that until the death of Aroden it was also the liturgical language of his church. Which means it is probably much closer to being the Latin equivalent. So while it is a dead language it is twitching fairly heavily. Not sure of the best real world equivalent for Jistikan though, I think you could argue something like Greek or maybe Etruscan, the Hellknights are much more likely to speak that though due to their explicitly modelling their own organization after the Jistikan military. ![]()

That is actually sort of sweet in an awkward kind of way. Pity the player had to drop out of the game, but definitely the sort of thing you want to end the campaign and say "I think I need to see a druidess about pick pocketing." ![]()
Honestly, part of this is a lot of the time people have no idea how being a werecritter works. Also added to that is that afflicted can either be ignorant of their condition, or aware and able to actually exercise some control. Also I am curious where you are pulling your thoughts on how lycanthropes work LazerX. As for why it is inherited? Its a curse, those tend to follow families. Also you can feel free to make it as infectious as you want in your home game, but if your paladin manages to fight a werewolf without getting dinged by a bite it seems a mite vindictive to say "And you get cursed anyways." Though thats personal taste, and groups vary. ![]()
Talking about the Goz Mask, and Fog Cutter glasses actually raises a question in my mind. What is an item that you think is priced correctly for what it does? I mean there are the various stat booster items, but unchained just came out with a few rules varient that removes the various state boosters. Apparently due to people just not liking or being impressed with the static booster items. ![]()
To be fair not every Aspis agent were push overs.
Earlier Season Spoilers:
The Spider, and both Anglorn and Tancred were all Aspis agents. So we know some of them can at least situationally put up a fight. Also there are the current contremps from a certain mirror using assassin. In any case I look forwards to return the favor after this years siege, to go beat the Aspis in their own little club house. I mean this is the second time someone has come in and tried assaulting the Grand Lodge. ![]()
Yes, it sounds like a really weird one honestly. Since there is an implication you are going to have basically divine and arcane casting as plug in options for the class. Perhaps the best 3.5 analog would be the factotum, which was another very odd class. Thankfully it does have a very strong hook to hang itself on in terms of game play.
