Holding her torch up, Cath follows both Bea and Bami through the shorter route to the other side of the sewer walkway. "Looks like the water isn't too bad here. Air seems to smell a bit more like the sea though, so I'm guessing that's what those things are for, if Ashun's right." Making her way past these, pump things, as they were pointed out to be, she looks towards the door exiting the room, keeping an eye out for any danger. "You can look at those, but I'm not sure if those are what we are looking for. Maybe we can get someone down here later to fix them. As for earthquakes, I'm not sure, but it definitely smells like the bad side of a port down here."

It is not required to drop the spear, though you certainly can if you have some plan in mind. You can cast using somatic components with your hands full.

Cath enjoys Solvatar Coryg's hospitality, including the feast at the end of the day. Eating her fill of the meal, she bids Master Coryg a fair evening as he leaves. "Hopefully what has you troubled sir, can be rectified easily, enough so you can enjoy the rest of your evening. Again, I thank you for the hospitality you are showing us."

-In the Morning-
Cath wakes up and makes the bed she slept in presentable, though not as nicely as it was when she was shown, and begins her morning stretching before getting ready. Examining her gear for a few minutes, she then don her armor before packing every thing away, and heads into the common room.

"The beds here are quite comfortable. Much more so than those at the lodge proper. Having a place like this would be nice for a base of operations. Perhaps in the future?" she mutters to herself after breakfast before listening to Ashun's talk about crafting. Shaking her head and waving a hand she smiles at the changeling, "Oh, I'm not good at crafting things of my own. I would rather the experts be in charge of that, though I might be able to dabble in being a merchant when or if I retire. Traveling and meeting other people sounds quite enjoyable, and even better so if I can easily fund the trips."

Things are good now, as the wife is currently on pain meds and enjoying the casino today.

Laughing and coughing from the lack of air, she tussles Bitty's hair,"That was quite the run! Now I think I am ready for the arena," the woman says while drawing the bastard sword from its sheath and stepping forward.

"Ah, I see!" Turning towards Marcos, Cath salutes with a fist over her heart before speaking towards the man, "Sir, would it be alright if I gather some of my other arms before we begin or shall I use what I currently have on me, sir?" She maintains attention while waiting for the Master of Swords to accept or deny her request. "Had I known, I would have brought more than what I currently have. As for spirited discussions, I would have loved to see those Bitty."

"By all means, any opinion would be good. I was thinking of getting a flail of some sort, as I have quite the repertoire at the moment but am willing to hear thoughts," She mentions, while pointing out her weapons. "The hand and half sword is similar to what I had trained with back in Korvosa with my father. Some said it would be too much for his daughter to handle, but I believe I am quite proficient with it. The staff there, mostly a walking stick to be sure, but is similar to the staves I trained with before taking up the blade, and helps with long distances." Reaching down to the dagger at her waist, Cath fondly places a hand on the dark wooden hilt, "This is my mother's blade, given before I came to the school in Absalom, and brings fond memories of home."

For a moment her eyes become unfocused before blinking and pointing out crossbow and sap that are now strapped to her travel pack, "Those are standard guard supplies I was given by my mentors before leaving. One to knock some sense into someone without taking their head, while the other is used in case you don't want to get close to what you're fighting. As for the whip, that too was mother's, but from her days of youth. She said she would be glad it would be used in other means than how she was forced to use it, though she never mentioned anything about it before," she offers the whip towards Dar, on the bottom of the handle is a well worn pattern of a hand wrapped in chains. "She doesn't speak of her past, but gave this to remind me that everyone has their role in life, and that I would need to find mine to be truly happy."

Welp, I think Cath has been offended that her drinking was interrupted...

Raising her shield, Cath then releases her whip with practiced motion, before striking at white with a loud crack in the air, "Settle down, the lot of ya!"

I like doing the same, mostly to see if there's a flub that'll happen or not. Nothing like a boast before a belly flop!

Leaning on the rails and taking in the sights, Cath is reminded of her first trip to Absalom, and of her childhood in Korvosa. The docks were a favorite of hers there as well, watching the ship-hands at work, as well as the city militia making their rounds. Shaking her head before noticing Bee trying to practice his fencing techniques with the crew before being called in for the meeting.

During the meeting, Cath nods solemnly at the mention of slavers, "Growing up where I did, I'd rather slavers would meet their justice before arriving to the ports that would protect them."

Laughing at the others' remarks, ties her length of rope around her waist and speaks up, "If this bit of water is too much, perhaps we could find some way to drag you to shore! I have some rope you can hand onto, but I'm going in!" Finishing the knot, and checking her weapons, the woman smiles, "Isn't this what adventurers do? The risks make the tales!" She then rushes towards the rails and leaps into the sea to head for the sandbar in the distance with a trail of rope following her into the water.

Cleaning her blade before sheathing it, Cath looks at Winston with a look of scorn before speaking towards the watchmen, "To be honest, I felt the story Winston here was somewhat truthful, which was why I agreed to help him. He was asking multiple people at the Rabbled Rouser, so there would be plenty of witnesses." Sighing and shaking her head, Cath gestures towards Bitty and the bodies of the bandits on the ground, "We had followed Winston, and my good friend Bitty unfortunately fell into a trap these "Bloody Barbers" set up," now pointing towards the pit trap in the alley while continuing. "They were focused on her while she struggled to hang on to the ledge, attacking with blades. The rest of us came to her defense, which led to the deaths of these fools."

Grabbing her arm, she winces before moving towards Bee, "You okay there? You fought well, but perhaps you should be a tad less," she chortles before smiling at the gnome, "flamboyant."

Cath was returning the favor of them going after Bitty first!

Okay, they're all going for Bitty, which is uncalled for. Shame for them, I was going to try for a non lethal way to take them down before.

Chuckling at Bitty and Egg's request, Cath draws her sword from its leather sheath, "You could have asked when we weren't walking, but I can tell you that out of the many weapons I do have, this one is my dearest friend. I've had this since I was with the militia in Korvosa, and it has done me well. It is a hand and half sword, also known as a bastard sword. The blade is thicker and longer than a longsword, but is much easier to wield than a greatsword." Talking whilst following the group, Cath points and explains the various weapons on her person to Bitty, from the whip on her belt down to the dagger now strapped to her boot.
