All that happened for me is I gained like 3 more craft skills.

I was referring more to banning godlings.

I would support that notion too.

Only, I do trust a GM will be sensible enough to decide wether he wants those or not.
I know if I were to GM such a crazy campaign, I'd still draw a line somewhere...much as I would not take a incorporeal fine undead hivemind swarm with Ex-immunity to elementary damage and positive energy.(go ahead, try and kill me)

So, considering that, I do expect that people who use Godling have a very difficult job of showing that they do so responsibly, or simply not get picked.
Furthering that thought, if people using Godling have a slim chance to be choosen, that increases the probability for people not using Godling.
Therefore, I'm against banning Godling. Because otherwise those people will reconstruct and maybe turn into valid competition. ^_^

Strike me down and I will become more powerful than you can even imagine.

3 Godling classes does feel a touch silly.

I think rather than wait for the answers to my questions I'm going to go ahead and spend the last 6fp off my guy, write his backstory and call him done.

Got him fine tuned to the way I'm most satisfied.

Wait a second, now. Silenced Tetori is a clear superior choice to AMF Barb.

I'm old school.

Just remember that Godlings are very, very, very heavy in flavor in plot (moreso than anything else on the d20pfsrd), and this should be addressed in your character's story, etc.

Already covered. :)

Abadar is the Hank Pym to my Ultron.

I think I'll go ahead and write that tonight while I'm in the mood.

Yeah, I must admit, it was one of the reasons I tried on Psionics. I don't think I chose a single power I can't imagine using at some point, and they can be boosted to keep up with later ones.

I considered that briefly before I remembered psionics has a real hate boner for playing any support.

MordredofFairy wrote:

@TarkXT I doubt they are. I just find it funny that GM points out those may be a thing, and a dozen people go run pick up an OP class to ignore them.

I hope you understand if all I wanted was to be op as hell I could have done better with less effort.

I had a concept and I put the work in that is all.

I personally don't believe for a moment I'll be able to ignore anything.

I don't care all that much about anti-magic fields anyway. I have malevolent mechanical claws.

And might I inquire, how do those nonmagical claws of yours intend to overcome his damage reduction in an antimagic field?

(I know there are ways around this, but it's still a thing. Melee weaponry? Not magical, no SU attack riders. Ranged weaponry? Not magical. Spells? Lolnokthxbai.)

Being adamantine certainly helps.

As does hitting really really hard.

One of my gimmicks is the classic anti-magic field barbarian thing.

That is if I just don't find a way around it.

In effect, with 4 spells a round, you may have a small chance that ONE of them actually gets through, even if you boost Spell DC as high as you can and get the Spell Penetration Feats.

With our builds it's quite easy to get saves to 20-25, or higher. While the maximum for DC's is between 25-30... so do make sure thats really the style you want to "lock in".

That's why you build spellcasters for support, utility, and with a few tools that target neither saves nor SR.

Being able to make 8d6+8 x4 auto critting chain guns is pretty mean at any level.

I'm half tempted while I have time to take levels in stalker for solar wind maneuvers to leverage that superior firepower more.

I am not hell.

I am inevitability.

Welp with my common sense deactivated the only option left is to nuke the site from orbit.

Tamlakos did you consider Unstoppable Force (Ex)

A godspawn can always charge, even if its movement is impeded or its path is blocked by another creature. It receives a +20 racial bonus on combat maneuver checks to overrun and Strength checks to break or destroy objects, and can make one such check as a free action as part of a charge. In addition, the natural weapons of a godspawn ignore all forms of damage reduction and hardness.

I wanted to point this out, because I got caught on it as well, but the at-will SLA from the race builder is limited to "spells that don't attack creatures or deal damage".

Thought I'd help by saying it now!

Damn it.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm playing with- I 'stole' an angelhood and immediately fell because I destroyed the angel and consumed its essence to fuel my transformation...

Bonus points if it was by accident and you were a novice cleric named Ted.

"Your dark and terrible powers to wipe out meatlings amuses me creature! Join me! Join me in evolving! In becoming stronger than your fleshly form together we shall form a partnership that will shake even the god's will! Yes a kingdom of horror and perfection formed from the will of Arkothus and!...What was your designation again?"

"Ted...from Absalom....goblinhead street."

FROM THE WILL OF ARKOTHUS AND TED FROM GOBLINHEAD STREET!

I was built this awesome.

My players would kill me.

I wonder if I'll be able to create themed constructs that are masters of their specific gimmick.

But intelligent like robots.

Robot masters if you will.

All I'm hoping is that we don't scare the GM off.

There have been too many ambitious games that died because the work was too much for the GM.

That said I'm getting the last minute detail done on Arkothus while await the response and I'm going to start another character.

Reason being is I am planning on sticking with Ultron Dragon I know some people who'd love to play but are probably intimidated by the creation rules. So I'm making a creature of pure flame I'm tentatively calling The Herald of Pain. A former angel who took to the whole punishing sinners thing too far.

Once he's done he's up for offer to whoever wants him.

In any case I'm done until the GM gets back to me so ima take the time to help others out. Specifically I'm going to help spellcasters since they are obviously lagging behind on spell dc's in comparison to potential saves. It's not particularly fair to demand the banning of something without offering fair alternatives.

All I have left on Arkothus is to get the rest of his FP spent, get a backstory and add those lineage domain spells to my spells known.

But then how would you designate?

Is anyone truly going all out?

Am I?

Rednal wrote:
I am agreeing to try and avoid breaking the game. XD I am not aiming for ludicrously high ability scores, or nigh-unstoppable spells, or anything else that would make me perfect in all ways. After all, challenges and the potential of failure are more fun!

And that is why organics are inferior.

Are people really going to be using huge sized godlings for Str based casting and things like that? I was going to avoid 3pp stuff to keep from becoming too egregious but now I'm worried that I'll be shooting myself in the foot if I don't min/max...

I have the same concern. I'd rather not be a strength based caster, but if that's what i need to do to keep up I guess I'll go that route.

Edit: things tend to get wonky with 3pp stuff. Moreso in a triple gestalt, etc game as this.

While that's hilarious even I'm not that cheesey. I went with Int. Which while it does synergize with my other classes is not really all that bad.

I'm not even huge for that matter as even in Hell there are very few devils bigger than large.

bigrig107 wrote:
Did you use FP for that, Arkothus?

10fp for constructed trait which the GM suggested since I was looking or a way to go construct and outsider.

Electricity immunity came for free.

Once I get these dishes done I'll finish Akothus up and consider some tweaks then see i we can do something to help our spellcasters.

Electricity, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep, stun, and any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects, or is harmless). Inevitables are not subject to nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain. (sorry for using you as an example)

Believe it or not none of that are templates. :)

Well I mean, imagine if this guy had that template.

My Hit points would near about double.

My attacks would be ridiculously ludicrous.

His land speed would be about 160ft. base.

It bumps literally everything much higher.

The thing I would encourage in everyone, more important than numbers, is getting as high an initiative as you can manage.

The GM has flat out said dual initiative is a thing meaning you don't just eat one full attack but two full attacks or a set of spells followed by a full attack.

So best bet on our end is to never grant them the chance to go on the offensive.

Too tainted by disgusting organics.

Well I'm truthfully more centaur like but trying to find robotic centaur like death dragons in art form is hard.

I went with subtle

IIRC it'd be like DR/magic, DR/Good. And whichever highest one applies does.

So like I have DR 15/Chaotic and DR 4/- if I get hit by a chaotic attack the 4 applies. But i I get hit by a non-chaotic attack everything else applies right?

Mine will not be a kill tank. I'm going full thematic.

What if being a kill tank is thematic. O_O

Not that I'm seeking an ICBM to implant from a spinal launcher or anything. ;O_O

Slowly but surely taking shape. I think all I need to do now is buy "equipment" get more fiendish powers, and talk to the herald about what I need to do to get access to or create my own tech labs.

Backstory is a former guardian o the Golden Vault corrupted by the darker progresses of mortal's technology into what he is. While his twin brother became enlightened by its ideals he became the opposite. Both were decommissioned by Abadar and both fled in separate directions.

That he was decommissioned actually explains much of his appearance. He is a literal scion of that god and thus when Abadar willed his destruction he immediately began to rust and decay. Only through his own ingenuity and will has he been able to maintain his form hence the swarms of mircro constructs all over his body.

I rather like the idea of Abadar playing the part of Hank Pym to Arkothus's Ultron.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 Know. Local

"HellO Fell GRAVity Treating You WELL?"

1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19

Looking not so much a person as a wandering bit of pure instability XAOC finds little trouble shoving people out of the way to see what the fuss is all about near the center of the crowd. In a voice that flucutates wildly in tone and volume the thing bellow sings as it heads towards the center. "wHAt IS going On heRE I wonDER?"

Very BAsic BAckstory.

Xaoc doesn't understand why he is. But he think he has learned enough about the planes and magic itself to understand how he came to be. Limbo holds within itself all possibilities. By it's very nature sooner or later one or more pieces of itself form into loose patterns that can more or less be described as thought, behavior, or the very basics of morality. Get enough of these patterns together and you can get soemthign resembling sentience.

Xaoc believes that he came to be when a portal from Limbo into sigil sucked in one or more of these patterns and dmped them unceremoniously onto the stones.

THat's when Xaoc became "aware" without the influence of limbo to consume adn change the patterns once more Xaoc came into being a creature of thought and intelligence made from the pure chaotic matter of Limbo.

Ever since Xaoc has simply tried to learn what it is to exist. Love, life, hate, sex, food, adventure, pain, anything and everything one can experience. He's decided to leanr magic, but not the base magic of books and bloodlines but the pure unbridled potential of the Art itself.

Xaoc is curious, reckless, and prone to bouts of passion and melancholy as unpredictable as a rhino.
