Unwich?

Paizo Employee Developer

Never eaten at Jimmy John's?

Liberty's Edge

I'm also wondering what an unwich is. If I order one with nothing on it do I just get a wrapper?

Edit: ah yes, so, I'll take an unwich with just lettuce please!

It's a sandwich with lettuce wrap instead of bread. BAsically, a healthier sandwich.

Well I have but I was curious as to where the hell you guys eat at. Like say, McDonald's...or maybe Wendy's?

This is like 99% of Instagram only without the sepia-toned pictures of the actual lunches

Reads just like our office orders for JJ's. :)

Nope. But a Jimmy John's did just open nearby. I'll try it out.

Sovereign Court

I used to go to a restaurant with my whole work group, 12-16 of us, the waitress never wrote anything down, all kinds of special requests and I don't recall her ever getting anything wrong. Just amazing.

You're right, it is lunch time!

And Jimmy John's sounds like a mighty fine idea....

Scarab Sages

Poor folks, having to eat Jimmy Johns...

Tasty as long as you aren't a wild animal. (warning, link contains pictures of dead elephant and leopard).

Paizo Employee Developer

Beats not getting lunch.

Well, we can certify Jeff as slightly deranged. Extra mayo...

The only Jimmy John's here is downtown and won't deliver to my office. Since I refuse to go downtown because I am sane, I don't get to get any.

What? No wild speculation about why Mike's order had to be covered up with Sharpies?

I didn't know about this. Thank you, Sara.

It's like making a chow run for the platoon.

No mayo?!

No tomato? No lettuce?

*sigh*

Weirdos...

Silver Crusade

I'll have a #17, no mayo, no tomato, add onions and brown mustard. Jimmy Johns is ordered FAR too often here, lol.

Why, because the guy goes hunting?

Is there anything going on at GENCON on Wednesday...?

Cosmo orders kosher? THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

Contributor

Of course Cosmo's order is the longest of all of them. I bet everyone was sitting around hungry at GenCon, blaming Cosmo for their lack of nourishment.

You mean because the guy goes MURDERING!!!!!11!!

Silver Crusade

You know you need a break when ordering lunch requires a combat pad.

Liberty's Edge

This of course leads to the blame game where the person actually going out to get the stuff is blamed because somehow they got the order wrong ... :)

You know, I can't help but be glad that the Paizo team types everything. Neat handwriting doesn't seem to be very important.

My handwriting is perfectly legible compared to some of my coworkers--and this was for my reference when placing the order, not for general consumption. :-P

Why do I get the feeling Cosmo's handwriting can only be translated by those who have gone insane?

No Mayo? Everything goes better with Mayo, .... well almost Everything.
And is there an anti-tomato League at Paizo? Kosher dill? ;-)

Liz Courts I just love blog posts like this.
I would have loved being there.

I miss Jimmy Johns :(

I moved home earlier this year and we don't have one nearby :(((

I prefer Milio's ;)

Really though, the bread isn't really the unhealthy part...

If there is, I support it.

I used to get the unwiches all the time, but was always kinda bummed they dont' make the sandwich cheaper.

Sort of, yeah. It has more to do with what he is hunting and why though. Hunting for sport rubs me the wrong way. I've done it myself and really regret it. Also, elephants and leopards are awesome.

Why is Mike's order a secret? Did he order the baby seal meatloaf or something equally as evil?

Mike had the braised elephant and leopard pate. :-)

That also goes better with Mayo [Sic!].

Only because mayo has no taste, thus it is pretty much like adding air to your sandwich.

Might I suggest that you try eating a nice big spoonful of plain mayo?

I may as well eat caulk.

TriOmegaZero wrote:

American mayo must be quite different from what we have here...

Apparently it is. I’ve tried Hellmann's Mayonnaise and it didn’t taste much and the texture was a bit like wiped cream, not at all like Swedish, Danish, French, German, Italian or English mayo. Perhaps all American mayo is tasteless.

You can get good mayo here, but you have to search a bit. That or make your own.

Well, Hellmann's mayonnaise sold in Poland is quite good but I prefer "Kielecki" personally.
