Wyrgan has a belt of physical perfection +2 already so someone else can put it on.
Wyrgan takes one of the potions of fly and attaches it to his belt. He then follows Vesber through the rooms as a guard for the other perceptive ones after he does the required detect evil in each room.

VSBR knows me very well. I also have unlimited spontanueous fly from my prestige class Crimson Templar so feel free to take potion of fly.
Tippa helps searching the room.

"I can use that, but my armor makes me a bit clumsy. And anyone can drink, but I have airy walk ready so no need for me." Kiti says about the potions and belt they find. She picks up the amulet in her mouth. "Whah afouh fhif? Mayfe Fuy of Chaflih? We ohhef haf hanfh anh fawf full ofhen."
Kiti follows VSRB through the rooms, Mimi staying a bit back not to cramp the tight spaces.
All items are better on someone else.

So which way are you going? Please move tokens appropriately so I know which room to tell you about.

![]() |

Ditto to all above.

M6 is interesting. Water damage has warped the door to this room and it no longer closes completely. This cramped room smells musty but overlain with some acrid taint. This workshop has not seen use in a while, and blunt tools and dark stains cover the dusty workbench. A deep vat stands dry and a row of dusty bottles line a shelf. Sawdust litters the floor.
You soon determine that this room was used for paper making.
Make perception checks

VSBR may not realise what is going on but he does see the heavy statue suspended from the roof that looks as if it's about to fall on you all.
Disable Device checks to safely get it down.

![]() |

Is Profession(lawyer) good to use for the check for the spoiler above?

![]() |

Sorry Tippa, but no - unless you can give me a really good justification

![]() |

Kiti tries to look up to the way the statue is attached. "It can fall? But how is it done? I can fly there and try to make it fall when no-one is under, but I'm not sure I can if the thingy has very strong chain. Or I can make a centipede or ninetypede to dance on the button."
Perception: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (14) + 24 = 38 Trying to see would it be possible to make it fall by destroying supports from above, and how it is triggered from ground level.
Knowledge: Nature: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 17 + 2 = 22
"Yuck, that's not all dust, some is dried mold. They haven't used it for, a year, maybe?"

![]() |

craft (glass): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
"The bottles look unused too. They have to have been there for a year at least, so I agree with Kiti's assessment."

![]() |

VSBR prefers to have expendable summoned creature to trigger the trap, if we don't have a disabler.
"So the monk did nothing about the paper and bottles for about a year. There must be something wrong since, well, a year ago, about this place or the monks, or both. Monks usually don't abandon their duty......"

![]() |

"Everyone out then, and I'll send in one poor thing to be splatted. Do you know where they come from? They just pop here and then next moment are gone?" she says continuing to thoughts about summoning.
When everyone is out, Kiti the leopard waves her paw and a giant centipede appears. "Go tap-dance all over that room! Isn't it fun, at least the little ones run all over floors and tables and all."
When everyone is out, cast Summon Nature's Ally I (spontaneous, using one Faerie Fire). Then send it running around the trapped-looking area. It's medium so it should trigger traps just fine.

![]() |

The statue falls and the giant centipede goes SPLAT!. Pieces of statue fly all over the place and the walls are coated in blood gore. Those flying chips would have done a lot of damage if you had still been in there.
Now what Pathfinders?

![]() |

Responding to the comment about monks abandoning their duty Wyrgan responds "These monks have acted out of sorts since we got here... very strange indeed."

![]() |

"Not like normal monks at all. Not that I know all THAT much about monks. It just does not seem that slovenliness would be f=part of a monk order tenets. Hopefully we will find something written down or we can revive someone who knows something. In any case, if the trap is gone, we should search the room."

"Is there anything magical in the room?" Tippa asks.
She tries to seek the answer by herself by casting Detect Magic

![]() |

Tippa finds a Potion of Glibness mixed in with the other bottles on the shelf.
M9 is a meditation chamber which you realise where the other two monks had run from. This peaceful meditation chamber features a series of faded silk cushions, carefully arranged across the floor. A polished brass gong hangs next to the northern wall reflecting every corner of the room. A burbling fountain fills the room with a relaxing susurrus. Incongruously, a sheet of parchment drifts lazily down from the ceiling and settles on the floor.

![]() |

Kiti the leopard goes to curl on a pillow next to the fallen parchment, and tries to hold it with her paws as she examines it. "Why do papers fall from the roof here? Do they have a special paper-raining roof? And what is that another trapdoor doing here? The monasteries I have been in didn't have such thingies all over the place. Or comfy pillows. We sat on top of poles, Mimi was very good", she chatters as she examines the parchment, totally unaware that the trapdoor she mentioned might not be as easily seen by everyone.
Perception: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (16) + 24 = 40

![]() |

"Trapdoor exit here." reports VSBR.
Detect Magic and Read Magic on the parchment if possible, then VSBR and F91 will fly up to the ceiling of M9 to check things out.
