"Her or us I suppose." Tern reasons quietly to himself as he considers the body for a moment, "Should we hide the body, or are we keeping moving?"
"Given we're just now learning to work together, not bad at all," Craig says and tries to pick up Father Noelan's corpse to take it further from the wolf, "Let's get Father Noelan into the shrine so I can shrive him proper. The wolf's calmed, but I ain't sure how long. I suggest we make sure it can reach that horse corpse so it don't starve. As for the Hob... search it loot it but do so fast? I don't think we have much time to hide it."
A beat, almost as if he seems to remember, "Erastil lets me talk to animals. What do y'all think? Worth talking to the wolf and seeing what it knows? I ain't no druid like Moragul." A nod of respect to the druid and willing to defer when it comes to the treatment of this critter and happy to get input from him or anyone else. Now that the action is over, it is not hard to guess that the death of a beloved mentor has him shaken more than he'd like to admit.

Reknar |

Ever practical, Reknar does a thorough search of the hobgoblin body, then drags it out of sight. Once that is done, he will go take a peek at the shrine door.

"The fact that this one was just standing around outside means they might have been a guard. There could be others inside." Valtyra points out, looking towards the shrine doors.

"The fact that this one was just standing around outside means they might have been a guard. There could be others inside." Valtyra points out, looking towards the shrine doors.
"Well, I think we just proved why I should leave strategy to the warriors. Thank ye kindly, Valtrya." He says gratefully, and fights any embarrassment that he almost walked into that. with reluctance he finds a place to put down his deceased mentor. He does move a section of the dead horse to the wolf so it can eat. Nasty but better than it feeding on humans. Then he reequips his longbow and is ready to join Reknar , prepared for another fight.

Moragul Bearskin |

Moragul cocks his head, examining the wolf. He rather likes wolves. "Eh, maybe we can get it to come with us. But first, the shrine."
Moragul is ready for the shrine!

Tern Bismeth |

Tern looks to the door of the shrine and frowns, but was determined to act with this group even if it meant facing more danger.

Valtyra Slate |

Valtyra listens, unable to hear anything over the din and background chaos.

GM Two-Hands |

The shrine was quiet as Moragul pushed the door open, its rusted hinges complaining with a creak.
He stepped inside first, keen orcish eyes adjusting to the dim interior. The air was still, sprinkled with the faint scent of blood and sweat. Broken benches and scattered debris cluttered the floor.
Moragul moved carefully, axe in hand as he entered. Only a few steps in he heard it; the twang of a bowstring followed by the woosh of an arrow flying through the air.
Ambush! vs. Moragul FF: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Ambush! damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The missile strikes true, thunking into the druid's meaty chest.
Initiative Craig: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Initiative Macharius: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Initiative Moragul: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Initiative Reknar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Initiative Tern: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Initiative Valtyra: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Enemy takes 10 = 13.
Block 1 = Mac, Rek, Tern, Val
Enemy
Block 2 = Craig, Moragul
Surprise! Block 1 may act, the map should be good to go. We'll do loot for outside and this fight after combat.

The sound was unmistakable, the meaty thud of what could only be an arrow hitting flesh and muscle making Val wince at what must lie inside. Without hesitation, the young blacksmith dashes into the shrine, rushing past Morgul and running in as her eyes adjust to the gloom, her sword held in a low guard as she cuts wide, hoping to draw the fire of the bow-wielding hobgoblin, and give her companions time to engage.
Double move

Reknar |

Ever practical, Reknar does a thorough search of the hobgoblin body, then drags it out of sight. Once that is done, he will go take a peek at the shrine door.
Reknar had gone to take a peek at the shrine door, but I guess he did not see anything before? Also I think he would probably start the round already at the door? No biggie though.
Reknar follows the others inside - "Let's make sure that bastard regrets it" - he snarled.
Starting Inspire Courage = +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

Tern Bismeth |

Tern is quick to move in behind the others, keeping his head down and trusting he was not having a bead drawn on him. He rocks back at the end of his run, doing a hurried casting and flinging acid at the hobgoblin.
With 30' movement and 25' range I think that puts me right at maximum range.
Acid Splash: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 2 + 1 = 121d3 ⇒ 2
Hahahahaha!
