Unless we want new boots, let us stay away.

OCC: Did establish any previous connection between Alenthieal and my High Elf character Xiloak Quanc (aka Naïlo)? I was going to post but I felt my post should include that if we have established it or want to establish. I mean I did offer to have such a connection of some sort.

You reach the place where the Reptile "God" is supposed to be. And it's guarded by two troglodytes.

Female Human Shield Lander Paladin 3 | Init: +0 | Per: +3 | Fort: +7, Reflex: +2, Will: +8 | HP: 31 (of 31) | AC: 20, FF AC: 20, Touch AC: 12 | CMD: 19 | Conditions: Non

Waving the others over, just out of the sight and hearing of the trogs, Gothia whispers.

"Finally, we are here! Let us dispose of those guards and search the area before entering the Naga's lair. What do you say?!"

Female Human Bard (Brazen Deceiver) 4 / Rogue 1 | hp 41 | 40/42 NL (0) | AC 17, t 13, ff 14 | CMD 16 | Fort +3, Ref +9, Will +5 | Init +3 | Perc +9 (+10 traps) | Bardic Performance 13/13 | Spells: 2nd (2/2) 1st (4/4) | Conditions: None| NOTES: Bless & IC Combo

TT considers Gothia's words, a slightly worried look across her pretty face. "I could try to sneak up on them," she suggests. "Not my forte, but not my worst skill, either. If it works, maybe I can get a sneak attack on them; if not, maybe I'll provide a distraction, and you can all swoop in and save me before the trogs kill me."

I'll roll a Stealth check in a spoiler in case no one talks TT out of sneaking in alone; I'm not exactly married to the plan, as she's still a weak combatant.

GM Only (Stealth Check if TT's NOT Talked Out of It):

Sea Ranger grins at TT. "I'll go with you, I'm fairly sneaky myself - at least outdoors." Turning to Chestman, the half-elf shakes his head. "They might call out a warning, if they see you. If we're spotted, then you can charge in. Hopefully TT and I can take them down swiftly and without an alarm raised."

With that, he nods at the bard, and does his best to sneak up on the guards alongside her...

Shield not readied, as that'd penalize his check. Gah! What'd I step on a branch or something? Sorry TT!!

TT takes a circuitous path, double-moving to get close enough to (possibly) flank next round. (Pretty crappy AC, even when she doesn't charge.)

M Dwarf Barb5 HP 60/61AC17T12FF15 F8R3W2 Per+8 Rage 11/16

Chestman absolutely charges.

WAGHHHHHHH! Greatclub power attack, charge: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

With the others charging and no one near the lone troglodyte, Naïlo lets fly an arrow at the target.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

Female Human Shield Lander Paladin 3 | Init: +0 | Per: +3 | Fort: +7, Reflex: +2, Will: +8 | HP: 31 (of 31) | AC: 20, FF AC: 20, Touch AC: 12 | CMD: 19 | Conditions: Non

Gothia also runs from cover and strikes at the nearest trog.

Sea Ranger utters a screech and Scout dive bombs the trog running off to sound an alarm. The druid hopes he can keep the thing occupied long enough for him to get there - hopefully without getting terribly hurt! The half-elf skirts the battle with the posted sentry and heads after the one that's running off.

Scout's 'Charge' Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

Scout dive-bombs the trog that's headed off (ugh, I'm certain that's a big miss) and Sea Ranger double moves 60' (or Run up to twice that, if he can) to catch up. If this turns into a Star Wars moment where Han Solo chases the lone stormtrooper into a crowd of others, he'll turn tail as soon as he sees it and run back to the others!

Okay, the arrow hit. One of the trogs have an arrow stuck in his chest. Also, Scout's dive bombing attack did not work. Gothia's attack was successful, and that the trog has a major wound. Nialo also hits, and this trog is down. Chestman misses.

The trog that was running for help leaves the door open for you.

Let me check if the ability (which works like the spell) works like that.

Looks like you can.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Entering this temple area, you see a long corridor before you. It's dark, dank, and stinks of Troglodytes. Already, you have some light guiding you. It looks like the only thing you can do is go forward.

Half-Elf Druid [Beast Master] 2 / Ranger 2 | Init: +4 | Per: +15 | Fort: +8, Reflex: +5, Will: +6 | HP: 32 (of 33) | AC: 19, FF AC: 16, Touch AC: 13 | CMD: 20 | Spells Cast: 0 Lvl - 0 (of 4) / 1st Lvl - 1 (of 3) | Conditions: None

Sea Ranger wrinkles his nose at the awful stench, but moves forward regardless. Though he has the vision of elves, still he needs light to see by - though he doesn't have a spare hand with which to carry a torch. "I would suggest I stay just behind the front rank - close enough to jump into a battle, or use my sling or magic if the quarters are tight." He glances at Gothia and Chestman, figuring they'll be the ones in front.

Once they head in, the druid instructs his companion Scout to watch the entrance and then fly to him with warning if anyone (or anything) approaches.

Anyone with a free hand to carry a light or a torch? Or we could use a Light spell cast on a shield or a rock that can be easily extinguished by putting it into a pocket - but cantrips aren't 'free' in this ruleset, I think...

Gothia maneuvers towards the closest trog, and sends a wicked slash towards her foe.

I think the surprise round is for Gothia (and maybe Chestman--he doesn't hesitate when there's a fight to be had...and he was at the front). If everyone's supposed to go, TT will scoot into the room to provide light and surveille the situation.
