Game Master Pete H.

Hello Applicants!

This recruitment is for a CORE Pathfinder Society game. I will be running The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch, #0-14. Tiers available are 1-2, 3-4 or 6-7. Group will be decided by me, determined as to the best available group that fits into one of those tiers.

When applying, please indicate what CORE characters you would like to bring, including their class(es) and current level. If you have a really odd build or multiclass, try to indicate their purpose as well. I will do my best to get everyone who applies into the game, but if there is enough interest some cuts will be made.

Edit to Answer a Question

This is not part of outpost. It will start when we have a group selected and will not be guaranteed to end before Outpost starts.

Shannon is a lvl 3 paladin of Torag. At this level, in CORE, she is just a standard paladin......for now.
She will later multi-class into Shadowdancer, but that's a long way off

Just to make sure, this is not part of Outpost, right?

I have a level 1 paladin, level 4 fighter, and level 7 druid available. I'll pick once I have a good idea what range we are looking at.

Here's what I have available for each tier.

Tier 1-2: level 1 druid
Tier 3-4: level 4 melee ranger (-My preference-)
Tier 6-7: out-of-tier level 5 suppport bard

Silver Crusade

I have Bobbie here, lvl 4 fighter.

Thanks for running! :)

Sovereign Court

I have a CORE halfling caster bard (level 3).

@GM TOP and Shadow Dragon:
Needless to say, I'd like to play. However, I do not want to listen to the rantings of Shadow Dragon that I stole his spot again... just because maybe he wants to play this one. I'd never hear the end of it! :-P

All jokes aside: If S.D. wants to play, he can have my spot.

Sovereign Court

For CORE, I have a level 6 melee-Bard (my preferred option, happy to play down), a level 4 Monk (secondary option), and a level 3 melee-Cleric (3rd choice).

So from among the characters declared, it looks like we have:

Tier 1-2
Shannon Rosenthal - Paladin 3
miteke - Paladin 1
SodiumTelluride - Druid 1
Erica 'Bobbie' Zufan - none (can a level 4 play down to 1-2?)
Corba Nana - Bard 3
Luke_Parry - Cleric 3

...which is barely within tier, and would likely be a cakewalk, so without other character options this one's probably out.

Tier 3-4
Shannon Rosenthal - Paladin 3
miteke - Fighter 4
SodiumTelluride - Ranger 4
Erica 'Bobbie' Zufan - Fighter 4
Corba Nana - Bard 3
Luke_Parry - Monk 4 (can a level 6 play down to 3-4?)

...which is a solid party, if very melee-heavy.

Tier 6-7
miteke - Druid 7
SodiumTelluride - Bard 5
Luke_Parry - Bard 6

...which is only half the respondents so far and not even a full table, so at least one person would need to bring a pregen.

Out of those present, Tier 3-4 is the clear winner.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Which would be the decision the GM is making.

Tier 3-4 is the winner and we have six applicants so you all get in, congrats! Since it is lvl 3-4, any adjacent tier is allowed so a lvl 1-2 could play up or a lvl 6-7 could play down. And in this case I don’t see a massive difference between a lvl 6 melee bard and a lvl 4 monk so neither should wreck the game any more than any of the group could do so already.

I say that because these early seasons are built for 4 characters and taking six will probably make the threat of death negligible. But it is what it is and I'll still do my best to kill you all! :P

I will get slides up soon, a post in gameplay and directions as to what to do next.

You can dot or make a post in gameplay, either would suffice.
