She winced when she opened her eyes, and it felt like a marching band was in her head. After a couple of minutes she'd collected herself enough to say softly, "In their wisdom, the Reverend Mothers make initiates learn by rote current and historical facts about all the houses of the Landsraad. Dominic Vernius was the second to last earl of House Vernius and of Ix, ut is said that he angered the Emperor, and there is a price on his head and that his wife is supposedly dead. Its odd that they would have mining equipment in a space shipment. they could have added more spice, and sent these boxes another way less dangerous.

"Thats whats on the manifest and has been, no need to look inside."
This man knows fall well they are not the same boxes, but your friend the Guard and the diver make no reaction. So they all know the boxes are not the same ones. You know there had been spice in all the Boxes, and these three had high grade refined spice, you know this becouse your checked them back when you off loaded half the load, when it broke down. So why switch them out now? Was it these boxes the suspected Sadoka had been after?

The Driver slams on the brakes. Jolting you all, The back of the thouper opens and and two detachment of troops come out surrounding the truck, Laz guns and other weapons pointing at it. One group are House Limir troops the other House Jarrlo, around 15 each. Down the ramp cames three men, the noble dress one has 4 guards with him. One is dressed like a guard Captain House Jarrlo symbols on his breast. The other looks like a mentat now you know what one looks like, Lips stained. His clothing has the House Limir signage. The last man is skinny, hooked nose and very well dress. He moves with grace and very favire in you body screams to you KILLER!
Your House Limir guard Captain says quickly to you.
"If you value your life, close that box, shut your mouth and do nothing"
Then he climbs out the cab to goes to meet the three men.
"Mentat, Keltal Hoop, Basheer, Nroick Lacey"
Then he bows deeply.
"Count Fenring, Imperial spice inspector it is an honor, how may we humbly assist you."
The count looks him over.
"rise, Humm, I wish to inspect this truck, hmmm...please ask you guards and workers to disembark."
Your friend the House Limir guard captain turns and shouts at you all,
"Everyone out!!! out now!!"
The driver and other House Limir guard climes out at once and moves to stand close to the House Limir troops.
Mentat, Keltal Hoop, House Limir
Basheer: Nroick Lacey House Jarrlo
The 4 guards are Count Fenring own household troops
Some say they are Sadaka
There are about 34 troops, as well as they three and whoever is left on the thopter, Each house seems to be on one side or the other of the truck. Then three men and the guard captain at the front. One wrong move here and your not getting out alive you can tell that.

Too Count Fenring you may as well not exist he pays you so little heed.
How ever Basheer, Nroick Lacey comes over and tells his men to take you to one side. Calling you Freeman rats. 4 of of his troops start to move in when Mentat, Keltal Hoop intercedes.
"Basheer, May I remind you that House Limir agree to this spot check on the gounds that you would not interfere with the counts shipment. These haulage workers will stay with House Limir troops."
As he says this House Limir troops move up and take you and the driver to one said. The Basheer looks daggers at the Mentat. But dos not push his point.
The Basheer is very angry, and more to the point he seems to be angry with you and the two guirds. You seem to have personally P**ed him off. Could it be something you have done of late...
Count Fenring hands one of his men a Leaguer and the 4 guard he has with him jump onto the truck and start checking the contents. As the Count waits he takes not of you. Coming over he says to Kasit.
"Hummm yes, no one wants violence, so humm may I ask has House Limir shipment Tith gone smoothly, You are the last of it, and you seem a little late to the Warehouse."
The Mentat, Keltal Hoop is unreadable.

Something had to be said in reply and sensing Kasit was going to hesitate, Julia took a half step forward and with a slight shrug she answered the count's question by saying, "There was a mechanical issue sir, which took time to fix, then we had to ride out the storm."
There were many other things she could have said, but this was true, she hoped he wouldn't question her evasion.

After some time the Counts four guards clime off the Sand Truck, they bring the three boxed of mining equipments with them.
"All the Spice is accounted for Count"
Says one of them.
Basheer Nroick Lacey of House Jarrlo charges over and rips the lids of the three boxes. Finding no spice in any of them. Count Fenring watches him with cold eyes.
"BUT THE INFORMATION SAID! House Limir was smuggling spice in this shipment!! they said."
Count Fenring nods to his troops who grab House Jarrlo Basheer and stip him of his weapons. Fenring then walks up to him being held there.
"Hummm...I loaned you four of my toops and you lost them in circumstances I have yet to get to the truth other. Your Thopter came back and they did not. Your lord besenched my that you knew what you were doing and so I came all the way here. And what do we find, nothing, A broken old sand truck and boxes of drills."
The man looked at his troops as if for help but they did not move. Knowing who as in true command here.
"I find you guilty of incapacitance. And the Emperor will hear about the fact your Lord and master has fools like you working for him, He will not look finding on Vasle House Jarrlo"
Count Fenring turns and strides back to the Large carry thopter,
"Humm..Bring him, we will throw him out the door, on our way back to Arrakeen. It will be interesting to see humm.."
House Limir Mentat, Keltal Hoop says as the count gets to the thiper ramp.
"Count I wish to stay and see why this truck broke down if I may."
The count waved a hand uninterested.
"Do whatever you wish Mentat, tell your master to keep up the good work. Hummm...I will still be watching"
Then he, his guard and the House Jarrlo climed onto the carry-thopter and soon it was air board, heading north.
The new guard who was on your truck watches it go.
"And into the north they went, for winter has passed"
He says to himself.
then House Limir Mentat, Keltal Hoop says.
"Load the truck back up and everyone on, we have a delivery to make."
he then stops in front of you.
"You did well last night, you shall be rewarded"
Then he enters the driving seat of the truck, it seems he will drive you to the city.
The new guard comes up to you,
"The name is Halleck, you did fight well last night, I had to take down a few, but you had the hard ones. I would like to hear how you did it. Come sit with me. And I may have some work for you after this run if your interested. I need someone to deliver something to the spice guild in orbit. Come lets talk."

It was only with a great force of will that Julia avoided raising an eyebrow, interesting.
Outwardly neutral, but inwardly excited by Halleck's offer, Julia remarked, "They were hard men, used to victory, perhaps a little too used to victory. How did we win? Surprise, commitment, and luck."
She paused before looking him in the eye as she said, "It seems fortune smiles on your house too. House Jarrlo thought they knew exactly where to hit you, yet look how that turned out. "Surprise, commitment, and luck, said like a true fighter."
Then he reached for a cloth covered object, taking the cloth off it you see a baliset a nine-stringed musical instrument. He started strumming it and sang a sing.
Our fathers ate manna in the desert,
In the burning places we whirlwinds came.
Lord, save us from that horrible land!
Save us…Oh-H-H-H, save us
From the dry and thirsty land.

…While beasts of the desert do hunt there.
Waiting for the innocents to past.
Oh-h-h, temp not the gods of the desert,
Less you seek a lonely epitaph…
And the truck moves thought the day and soon as dusk falls you see the lights of Arrakeen. Entering a large gate you area waved past and soon enter a large warehouse by means of a sliding all and dropped shield.
Once inside men come and start unloading the truck as your Guard captain and the Mentat collect the troops. Soon the guard captain is back, and gives you your payment, in water.
"We thank you, house business is done, keep safe and may the father of the sands protect you."
As he leaves Halleck comes to you.
"You where promise a bonus, Then here it is"
He hands each of your a small Green pouch.
"Lite Off world Medical kits, if you get badly harmed use them."
They uses a kind of organic ninite Acts as QLW 1d8+5 HP back, once each then the pack is done.
He hands you a flip of paper,
