The Rock lets loose with an Explosion of Rot which catches both a plant creature (Red) and a spawn (Blue) with waves of necrotic energy. He then flies right up almost to the ceiling.

Ginger attempts not to freak out too much at the strange looking Fungi. At the druid's request he begins to attack the red fungus (and will move on to the Blue Sphere if it drops). With so many opponents Ginger is told not to play with his supper (no grapple attempts).

The Fungi caught in the blast decays away, instantly moldering into an unmoving black lump. The Spawn proves more durable, but writhes as black spots of decay appear across its flesh.
Ginger crunches down hard twice on the Spawn of Spheres, and it is torn to pieces.

Otherworldly Mind (Ex)
Any creature attempting to contact a cerebric fungus’s mind or read its thoughts with a divination spell or similar ability must succeed at a DC 16 Will save or be overwhelmed by the alien thoughts in the creature’s head. Those who fail take 1d6 points of nonlethal damage and are confused for 1d6 rounds, and the divination effect immediately ends. The save is Charisma-based and includes a +2 racial bonus.
Star-Shriek (Ex)
Once per day as a full-round action, a cerebric fungus can unleash a shrill scream of madness. All creatures (except other cerebric fungi) within 30 feet must make a DC 15 Will save or be nauseated for 1d4 rounds. This is a sonic, mind-affecting effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Touch of Madness (Sp)
The cerebric fungus may daze one living creature by making a successful touch attack. The target creature must succeed at a DC 14 Will save, or it becomes dazed for 1 round per caster level (4 rounds for most cerebric fungi). The dazed subject is not stunned (so attackers get no special advantage against it). This is a mind-affecting enchantment, equivalent to a 2nd-level spell.
Unsettling Appearance (Su)
A cerebric fungus constantly scans the minds of those around it, projecting around itself a confusing collage of images gleaned from their thoughts. Creatures within 60 feet that can see the fungus must succeed at a DC 14 Will save or take a -2 penalty on attack rolls. This is a mind-affecting effect. The save DC is Charisma-based.

The one monstrosity whispers loudly from too many mouths and it bites, claws and snaps at Orenjii.
"Your mind is so rigid, Orenjii. Such beautiful patterns and walls of glass, shielding your thoughts. Your companions minds are not as closed, Divinobot. Tell me, how do you add the sand to think?"
Orenjii is bitten, but manages to fend off the claws and pincer thanks to the Evil Eye.
The other monstrosity whispers loudly while clawing and snapping at Jaakko.
"You can never be vigilant enough, Jaakko. Corners and angles can reach you no matter where you hide. You smell of smoke and steel, why wrap yourself in sheathes of black when green and blue and white burn so brightly?"
Jaakko is bitten, clawed and grabbed hard around his torso by the pincer.

The Sphere bleeds out fluids from many wounds, but manages to claw and bite at Omar while it whispers at him. "Your mind is strong, but full of water and chalk instead of sand. How does the chalk add to the thinking?"

Immediately after the spawn grabbing him had been destroyed Jaakko drops his flail and draws musket shooting the remaining one.
Jaakko's shot pierces its center, and it falls down twitching before dissolving into a puddle of goo.
Combat Over! Triix can save the Magic Missile slot.
The eerie mists continue to swirl around. Mumuring voices and alien squelching noises can periodically be heard.
A draconic shadow slides along the floor, looking at each of you in turn and patting Omar's shadow's head before flitting across the platform to the next island.

The Rock recovers a spell with a pearl of power and recharges his Heightened Awareness with a charge of his wand. He then puts his wand, his depleted pearl of power and his exhausted rod in his backpack.
The druid hovers effortlessly waiting for the party to proceed.

The Pathfinders follow the flitting draconic shadow through the mists, moving from island to island. As they move to the third island after the attack, two figures become apparent through the mists. It is two copies of Ralzeros, arguing with each other.
The one on the left points accusingly at the one on the right. "It's your fault we're in this disgusting place! You were supposed to ward the library from taking this type of damage. What were you even doing in the stacks if you could not handle this simple task?"
The one on the right looks shocked and angry, throwing up his hands.
"Simple!? The whole layer of space dissolved, you fool! Corners is pushing, and the intruders are burrowing in from the other side. I cannot believe any aspect of me could be so dense as to not understand the implications for the geometric warding."
The one on the left rolls his eyes dramatically. "Someone attuned the geometric warding, or did you miss that in your hurry to slanderously pontificate about my deficiencies? If you had done your job, none of this would have been necessary!"
The one on the right starts gesticulating wildly in response. "The wards have been in place for centuries, and cannot be reattuned with one caster. If you knew half of what you think you know, you would have been aware that it is impossible for me to attune them myself! If I had tried to rely on you for help, who knows the state of the mindscape would be. I would hazard a guess that with your brilliant contributions, we could be scattered across the Dark Tapestry from here to Aucturn!"
The one on the left rolls his eyes harder, then gestures at the Pathfinders. "Ha! You could never do the job, no matter how I assist you. And look, here come the people responsible for our current predicament. Well, part of the immediate perdicament, that is. Perhaps you should thank them for doing your job for you, even if their actions disrupted the library layer."
The one on the right turns and points at the Pathfinders. "YOU! It's your fault we're here! YOUR FAULT! I should banish you to the dominion of the black, devour your minds with nameless terror! How DARE you muck around through here, warping the very nature and fabric of this place!"
You can attempt a Bluff, Diplomacy or Intimidate check to get them to back down, or fight.

The second Ralzeros smirks. "Well, they DID do the geometric attunement ritual. They've probably helped stabilize our mind more than they've hurt. Corners is the real problem."
The first one lower his finger from pointing at the Pathfinders. "I suppose...you're right. Listen, this layer is the domain of Corners of Spheres. He should be up ahead. If you want to truly help seal this place, you will need to deal with him. Be prepared for a fight."
The second Ralzeros, then the first, step off the side of the island and fall into the mist, disappearing a few seconds later.
