GM 7thGate |
Daosvaria shrugs. "I dunno. This is Ralzeros' place. Its a lot bigger than it seems since all the space is on top of space here. I can slip through the cracks and start wandering around, but some areas are off limits, like the library and Corner's domain. I came by and watched you from sideways while you were scurrying around, searching through Master's thoughts, but I couldn't come in. I had to wait for you to come here to play with me..." she trails off, as a distant rumble is heard, and the floor begins to shake.

Shortly after Daosvaria disappears, the room starts to shake, and space seems to bend and swirl. The room twists, as the whole laboratory spins down as a whirlpool of liquid stone descending into a greenish mist, before depositing the Pathfinders into a stony island. See slide 11
Fungal, aberrant, and alien creatures swarm through a vast sea of green mist. Several stony islands emerge from the sea, their forms wavering fluidly. Bridges made from floating collections of stony fragments tie the islands together.
The mists obscure distant objects, and space seems slightly warped and difficult to view. The Pathfinders can see approximately 60 feet away before the combined effects cut off vision.
You have one round to cast something or take other preparations.
After a short time, The air suddenly ripples and roils. Empty eyes and twitching tendrils manifest from the distortions, and an alien voice echoes through the mist. “Almost time, beacons lit and copper melted. We are Corners of Spheres, we are one who are many. Will your unenlightenment leave your cage-world unharvested? As the Pathfinders move to the second island, space seems to twist and warp. Suddenly, without warning, two hideous fungal growths sprout out of the ground, along with three creatures that defy description. They seem roughly spherical, though perhaps more than three dimensional; they have too many limbs, but never the same configuration or count from glance to glance.
