Granny Deadybones |
Granny looks at Clebsch with as serious an expression "Stay out of the large pools" then chuckles "That goes for you too Taigan, where there's some there's usually more"
"Don't know about sacrifices and assassins, hope not, ghastly business. Reckon we might still find some old bones though - if we do I will collect them and ensure they are...disposed of appropriately"
"No point wandering about I suppose, up the big stairs and see what it holds - a forgotten temple to a nasty god?"

This wide gallery is lined with a colorful mural depicting a figure performing some sort of magical ritual over an expanse of ocean. His arms raised, he beckons to something beneath the waves, and is answered by a frothing, foaming section of the water that hints at a massive shape rising.
But more importantly that all that, you see three undead creatures in the corners of the room and milling about the stairs. They turn to you and outstretch their hands. One of the creatures is Large, with long muscular arms.

Big Zamber: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
The big creature moves down the stairs first. Stopping 10 feet away from Clebsch, it reels back for a punch. Clebsch, always on the defense, readies his shield.

Bludgeoning: 1d12 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

But he wasn't ready for such raw force. Even worse, the brute's blow is strong enough to push him aside, down the stairs.

Granny analyzes the large creature and knows it is weak to positive and vitality energy. It also takes a lot of damage from slashing attacks.

Brute Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

The halls fall silent yet again. Amongst the undead's remains you find a pendant hanging around one of their necks. Behind the statue you notice a silvered bowl, as well as a potion lying inside the bowl.
This wide gallery is lined with a colorful mural depicting a figure performing some sort of magical ritual over an expanse of ocean. His arms raised, he beckons to something beneath the waves, and is answered by a frothing, foaming section of the water that hints at a massive shape rising.
To the northwest, stairs rise to another large room. An elegantly carved figure towers over the room, combining the body of an eel with the visage of a horrifying deep-sea fish and four grasping tentacles.
If you critically succeeded, open the spoiler below.

"This is more of that Dagon stuff?" Taigan asks. He nudges at the pendant with a boot. "And what about this? Cursed necklace? Necklace of turning people into hungry undead?"
Natural Medicine: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Treat Wounds: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10
"Hey, hold on a second, Clebsch." Taigan pulls out what looks like ginger slices and some sort of dark green herb, mashing them together deftly, and places them on the fighter's nasty bruises.
Clebsch Gordan |
"Thank ya kindly, Taigan," Clebsch says and touches his wounds tentatively to find there is no injury or pain left.
Clebsch will rest to catch his breath and to remove the wounded 1 condition.

While he rests, Clebsch studies the murals. "Looks like stories I've heard tell 'bout Aroden raising the starstone an' this island ta boot! Seems a tad small small an' ..."
