Dwarf Regnar Steelshield |

Yeh!! Now we're rocking! :)
Thanks Amhal, If I don't find anything I'll need your help.
Dru, Ral, can you see if the arrows are magical? I think it strange to have them mixed with the coins.
Turning to the task at hand Regnar concentrates back to his search
Now, by the hoarse beard of my grand father Torin where is that bloody mechanism...

Ralina Biggins |

Ralina looks at the dirty floor in front of the secret door for the usual patterns or signs of which way the door usually slides open.
"Could be it only opens from the other side." She says shining her lantern over the area to discern any clues. "With no marks in this mess, we could safely assume the door swings outward." She ponders the possibility of it sliding into the wall, floor or ceiling, but with the rough stone and the way it sits flush to the natural cavern she couldn't really see how that was possible. "If we can't open it, best to just jam it on each side to keep anyone from sneaking up on us."
Leaving the dwarf to further ponder the secret door, she shrugs as goes to look at the discovered arrows. Her temple training hadn't offered any real insights into how to determine the nature of magical artifacts, but she recalled one of the old priests saying such things rarely showed the usual rust, tarnish, or other signs of age or mistreatment.

Dobin Cur |

Dobin shows the hoard that was discovered and hands the arrows to Ralina.
"Here...you can probably determine their nature better than I ever could. There is also this scroll and potion. They would probably be best served with the more arcane or divine of our group!"
The remaining items Dobin wraps back up and places in his backpack.

Dwarf Regnar Steelshield |

Ralina, my intention is to jam it, but it would be more efficient if we knew how it works. If we jam it to open one way but it slides inside the wall we could have them entering in, that kind of thing that worries me.
Obermind, we check the floor to see if there were signs of use, in the stone floor or in the mess on the floor, right? If we didn't, I do it now... feeling my cheeks turning red in shame. :)

GM - Obermind |

Regnar continues his search for the mechanism that opens the door.
It will take him around 3 turns, one has already elapsed.
But he has already ascertained it opens inward, toward the ogre cave.
Ralina checks the arrows - they are grime encrusted, but that does not seem to have had any effect on their quality - they are still sharp, the shafts remain strong, and the fletching flawless.

Ralina Biggins |

"Not rusted or rotted. My guess is they might be magical." Ralina says handing them off to someone who has a bow.
Curious at the lack of a goblin hoard charging out of the nearby cavern. The acolyte take a moment to peek beyond the haphazard barrier and out into the darkness looking and listening for any sign of the little monsters.

Amhal Pitt |

Hearing Ralina, Amhal nods toward Regnar as the priestess approaches. Amhal whispers as he too peers out into the darkness beyond his guttering torch.
”Yon dwarf is keen to shoot from the barricade should it come to that. I have a shortbow, and a score arrows, but I’ll trust to my blade for now should they charge in behind before we have the secret door locked down…”
I’m a little unclear on the passage of time here - mostly relevant for how long more my torch will last and how much of the barricade I (and whoever else is assisting) have completed…

Dwarf Regnar Steelshield |

While on his search of the door mechanism, Regnar says his worries to whomever is closest
Don't forget the barricade, help Drusilla.
Prepare a fireplace to light in case they pass the barricade. You will need light to fight.
Just me and Drusilla to shoot at them in the dark, try to think of something to light outside if only to a few rounds of shooting when they come near.
He then passes to his his usual rumblings under his breath about the hidden mechanism and his words are lost but him.

Drusilla Orizorwyn |

'I can Use my crossbow. Though Our human companions can attack those that break through. So maybe archers at the sides and melee in the center" She says as she continues working.
"Also Ralina, when we get back to the tavern you are giving me a bath. me, you warm water and soap" She claims as she continues working in this filth.
