Well, we have possible blackmail material on Elvard with that painting which might work. Drakmak was going to use forge us some documents based on forgeries Flitch gave us. He's still missing, but we might be able to use the poor forgeries along with the papers about the painting to get Elvard to let us through with the professors family.
Plus, we have a wagon with a false bottom that we might be able to hide the stone giant in, or get him to fall asleep in the back and pretend to be a statue.
Hmm, I say we walk up to Elvard and casually let him know that we have evidence he ripped off the rune lord. Noggin is more than happy to eat said evidence if he accepts our papers and lets us on the ship with our refugees.

Sounds like an excellent plan. Are the guards at the ship or at the entrance to the port, because we have to get that stony fellow on the ship and a false bottom is only going to help us get to the ship.
Also, do we official Pathfinders have legitimate papers? I assume we can all get on the ship without issue, right? It is just our cargo that need to be snuck in, right?

You do have papers that you think are legitimate. Whether they are or not...?

Surprise! It's skill check time. I know you are all shocked and amazed that there is a whole section specifically on skill checks and/or socialization. The listed skills are the obvious ones for each location, but creative solutions may be rewarded!
As an Obstacle, you need to earn a certain number of points to bypass it. Crit successes are worth 2 points, success 1, failure 0, and crit fails are -1.
Due to prior preparation, you each get a +2 circumstance bonus to your checks.

Congratulations! You have completed 1-12: the Burden of Envy!
I hope everyone had a great time, and enjoyed your (mostly) author's table!
I will work on getting those chronicles out today.
Please join me in wishing a speedy recovery to your author and (original) GM of this adventure, and I hope to see you across the table again real soon.

Thank you everyone for the game! Thank you for stepping in, bigrin, and most of all, thank you Lysle and here's hoping for swift recovery.

Just checking in to see how those chronicles are coming along... Mostly making sure I put the right email address in the website :)

Thanks GM Bigrin and all the players here. This table faced some unexpected turns, but I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
For those interested, I just came home from the hospital yesterday. It took a total of three surgeries to remove the infection. I began home wound care with visiting nurse today. I have been told to expect months for recovery and the repacking process is painful and exhausting at this point. It is hard, but I can do hard things and have received a surge of support from friends and family online and IRL. I am very grateful and feel quite blessed.
I will leave the chronicles to GM Bigrin (if you anything from me, please let me know.)
I will keep an eye on this campaign and keep it active until everyone confirms receipt of chronicles or sufficient time has passed after they've been issued.
