Wrath of the Righteous PF2

This is an experiment with homebrewed PF2 Mythic rules of the Wrath of the Righteous AP

Retraining House Rule:

Retraining generally takes a week of downtime. And you have to have found someone to pay to help you retrain. In some Adventure Paths (APs) there is enough downtime to actually make this viable (I'm looking at you, KingMaker, which had months of downtime). I'm not really seeing enough downtime in Wrath of the Righteous (WotR) to make this work.

Here is what I propose:

The PC makes a declaration to the GM/table that they plan to retrain out of X and retrain into Y.

Immediately, they lose X.

After a week of in-game time, they make a skill check (generally the DC of which is the Hard DC for the level of Y):

Critical Success: They can immediately begin using Y with no penalties
Success: They can immediately begin using Y, but with a -2 Retraining penalty related to using Y. This penalty goes away after one week of in-game time.
Failure: You still have lost X, and can immediately start a new week of training into Y
Critical Failure: You still have lost X, and must wait an in-game week before restarting training into Y.

For instance, if Harry the level 8 Rogue wanted to retrain out of a general feat taken at level 3 and replace it with a level 2 feat, then the DC would be 18 (16 for level 2 and +2 for Hard DC). If instead it was being replaced by a level 7 feat, the DC would be 25.

If Harry's feat was a Thievery-related feat, then the applicable skill would be Thievery. But, if the feat was related to something else (let's say Toughness), then the applicable skill would be different (in Toughness' case, it would be Fortitude). Non-obvious applicable skills would have to be discussed with the GM.

One of our players has asked to be excused.

We would like to have six players for optimum efficiency.

We are currently second level.

To recap, this is the Wrath of the Righteous Adventure Path, being updated for second edition Pathfinder. When the characters become mythic, I will be experimenting with a (to my mind) balanced mythic system.

What class is missing, like rhe player who stepped out what did they play as? Is there a role that needs filling?

Hey FMS :)

The departing character is a human firepower sorcerer (imperial).
Virtually any ranged DPS could stand in, although magic missile is quite the boon at low levels.

Hey, I remember seeing this recruitment but never being in a place to apply the first time. So happy to have the chance to re apply.

Here is a Nephillum(Tiefling) Human Wizard I whipped together. School of War Magic from Player Core 1.

I would still have to figure out the backstory, I have broad strokes but didn't want to get too deep in the nitty gritty with it.

Looking at those still in, would a ranger or a rogue work best, or perhaps a bard? Even a cleric is good with me really

I can field all, though ranger, bard, and cleric would be new to me.

Background is having came to fight in the holy crusade to redeem her parents name, given they birthed a tiefling daughter who swears she is not a demon but a devoted follower of Desna.

I'm considering submitting Junior. I'd have to update him to 2e but the fluff would be the same.

He was a part of a WotR game with Dorian's character there. Unfortunately it looks like that game has died.

A Ranger tiefling follower of Desna. I have backstory somewhat done, but since some of that is guided by where in the story y'all are I have not much.

I'm having trouble translating Junior into pf2e so I'm not going to delay your selection.

Please have Perla Hidlkid and Krakus report to the gameplay tab. Please 'dot and delete' your character.

Then fill out your macros on the macros sheet.

Then put your icon, etc. on page five of the slides

Then, let me know you've done it. When both of you do so, I will weave you into play.
