The hologram's AC is pretty high. Kneepuncher knows that damaging the servers can weaken the hologram and is suggesting people do that while he draws aggro.

Yeah, the primary one, forgot to say that.


Entropic energy from Kneepuncher’s kick causes a slight distortion in the newest hologram, while Meglos lands a powerful blow with his solar mace on the Jadnura hologram! Z Data Z continues pouring on magical force bolts that tear crucial data from it.

But with another sudden hiss of static and strange glitching, the Jadnura hologram somehow creates another featureless hologram next to it! Meglos manages to duck under a swing of its hardlight staff just in time . . .

Kneepuncher’s first attack against Jadnura misses, but the second attack against Red hits (as a magical kinetic attack, it does half damage; because the creature is incorporeal, it is immune to critical hits). The intimidation doesn’t succeed

Meglos’ second attack against Jadnura hits and does half damage.

Z Data Z’s magic missiles do full damage.

The Jadnura hologram spits out another generic living hologram (Black). It then attacks Meglos with a hardlight slam. Result: Miss.

He then points to an area just south of the Hologram terminal and deploys his Supernova to encompass the primary hologram and the secondary red bordered hologram. (There is no way I can target all 3 without hitting myself, so just the two below me is fine)

An immobile blazing curtain of opaque, shimmering, violet fire springs into existence. One side of the wall, selected by you, sends forth waves of heat, dealing 2d6 fire damage to creatures within 10 feet and 1d6 fire damage to those beyond 10 feet but within 20 feet. The wall deals this damage when it appears and on your turn each subsequent round. In addition, the wall deals 5d6 fire damage to any creature passing through it. The wall deals double damage to undead creatures.

There's no save against the wall of fire damage; Black takes 8 points this turn.

Kneepuncher's magical fist partially disrupts one of the faceless holograms, but the Jadnura hologram somehow digitally ejects a third!

Then, before your eyes, the Jadnura hologram glitches and reforms as an entirely different former First Seeker: Ilyatre! The female ryphorian wields a laser pistol in one hand as she blasts at Kneepuncher point-blank! "Y-y-y-you are inf-f-f-ferior!"

Kneepuncher's first attack misses Jadnura, but the second attack hits Red and does full damage (though is not intimidated).

The Jadnura hologram has created a third hologram (Blue).

The Jadnura hologram has transformed into an Ilyastre hologram (I don't have a picture of the new form, so we'll stick with the same token).

Ilyastre provokes an attack of opportunity from Kneepuncher for using a ranged attack in melee. The ranged attack hits; Kneepuncher, you take 23 B.

As a swift action, Ilyatre's taunt affects everyone who hears it (except Z Data Z, who is too far away). Everyone, please attempt a DC 21 Will save vs a mind-affecting sense-dependent effect. On a success, you are off-target until the start of Ilyastre's next turn. On a failure, you are shaken until the end of Ilyastre’s next turn.

This has been a long battle, so just an update on where things stand. The Jadnura/Ilyastre hologram is looking around 2/3 starting health, Red is at about 1/3, and Blue and Black are in the 4/5 range. Thanks everyone for updating taglines as you take damage.

@GM Is the hologram EAC is higher than 25?

Gil-Oloth continues to shoot at Jadnura's hologram.

@Gil-Oloth: Yes, the main hologram has a base EAC higher than that, and you currently have the added challenge of it having a +4 bonus from soft cover because of Kneepuncher.


Having cornered one of the intruders, the red-tinged hologram continues its assault on Phil, slamming the ysoki with a hardlight fist!

Meanwhile, the other two faceless holograms attack Meglos from two directions at once!

Red attacks Phil with a hardlight slam. Result: Phil, you get hit and take 24 B.

Black and Blue attack Meglos with flanking (Kneepuncher, it looks like you used your reaction on the AoO this round, so you don't have one for Bodyguard). Result: One hit. Meglos, you take 18 B.

I do in fact have a reaction for Bodyguard - once per day I can use Reactive to get a second reaction in a round, which I do. That transfers 9 damage to KP.

Ilyastre gets more punching.

With my DR 5/- I have also taken that off the damage too and applied it after Knee took some of my damage also.

Meglos continues to pulsate with Solar Energy (2) and will now put his full attention on the foe to the south with a full round attack.

Data will cast Explosive blast, getting the main hologram and the hologram up north dmg: 9d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 5, 2, 1, 6, 5, 5) = 34 reflex 19 for half. He is also spending a resolve point, cause he has selective targeting, so none of his allies are in his blast.


As Kneepuncher's entropic-powered fist slams into the hologram of Ilyastre, it glitches and reforms as a hologram of First Seeker Roheas, female damaya lashunta mystic wielding a hardlight staff!

As Meglos's attacks are parried by one hologram, Phil manages to duck and sprint away from the faceless hologram that had him cornered!

An instant later, the entire server room shakes when Z Data Z detonates a battery with explosive force! The hologram of Roheas seems sluggish!

Kneepuncher's first attack hit. (having the force property makes a *huge* difference; I've got PCs fighting incorporeal monsters in another game without it, and they're really struggling!). @Kneepuncher: Thanks re: reaction.

Red misses the AoO vs Phil.

Meglos' attacks both miss Blue. @Meglos: Thanks re: DR and Bodyguard. I've adjusted Blue's hp to reflect the electricity and fire damage it took from striking you.

Both Roheas and Blue failed the Reflex save from the explosive blast and (because incorporeal) will take half damage. Because the radius of the blast includes the server banks (and exceeds their hardness), Roheas is off-target for one round.

I've put a picture of the hologram of First Seeker Roheas to the side of the slide and have changed the token.

In real life, First Seeker Roheas was a powerful mystic--so the hologram created by corrupted Guidance tries to follow suit by casting a dangerous magical spell!

This spell provokes an AoO from Kneepuncher. Kneepuncher, if you have a reaction available please go ahead and take it, and then I'll describe what happens depending on whether or not the spell goes off.

Kneepuncher picks the perfect moment to strike, slamming into the hologram of Roheas and disrupting its spellcasting!

Suddenly the hologram glitches and transforms yet again! This form appears to be a decaying version of the ysoki Datch with glowing green eyes. Casually snacking on a virtual apple in one hand, she says "Pesky pesky! Let's kill the big one, and then mop up the rest!"

Kneepuncher's attack hit (but it is immune to crits).

A picture of Datch is now on the side of the slide, and I've changed the token.
