"No, haven't seen mouse here until today. I never thought they would be that big!" she tells Olegaro who afterwards find nothing worthwhile.
"Let's check the kitchen. Basil might be there."
She motions them to follow her.
At their arrival, the clatter of pots and pans echoes around the room as the bustle of a one-person kitchen rings out. The sting of fresh onions assaults the nose. A wooden toy poppet in a white chef’s hat and apron busies herself with preparing a large meal. The refuse bin in the corner overflows with the remains of past meals that were never served.

The food overflowing the refuse bin looks stale, but checking the pantry, there is fresh food ready to be eaten.
"Ehemm." Sweeper tries to call the attention of the busy Basil.
"What now, Sweeper?" Basil rolls her eyes but does not look at Sweeper and continues to busily cook.
"You remember what I said before to join me convince..." Sweeper tells Basil but she is interrupted.
"Yes, and no." the cook says sternly, this time she is taking some ingredients out from a cabinet that seems to be producing whatever she needs and gets back to her pot.
"Well," Sweeper looks pleadingly to the Pathfinders.
In order to convince the poppets of the dollhouse to work together, you will need to convince each poppet to go along with your plan. To do so, you need to collect as many Cooperation Points as possible by interacting with individual poppets and eventually rolling skill checks to convince them. Each PC can attempt a check once per NPC. The applicable skill checks will be given for each NPC. A success grants 1 Cooperation Point, a Critical Success grants 2, and a Critical Failure deducts 1 Cooperation Point from their efforts. The party can gain a maximum of three Cooperation Points from any one NPC, but gaining these three means the NPC has fully sided with the Pathfinders
For Basil: A PC who succeeds at a DC 11 Cooking Lore check to Recall Knowledge or a DC 13 Crafting check to Recall Knowledge impresses Basil with their understanding of her cooking. A successful DC 15 Society or Nature check to Recall Knowledge can convince Basil that many more fantastic ingredients are available outside the dollhouse. A successful DC 17 Deception check to Lie can convince her that the ingredients magically provided by the house simply are too bland for her skill. Other checks can be used as long as justified by your roleplay. Creative solutions are encouraged.

May we use Otani last post/roll/attempt/thingy?
Sure, I will use that.
"Well, that is nice of you, cleaning the kitchen while I cook. I really need help in cleaning actually." Basil is impressed by the tengu's initiative to clean the kitchen. "I hope you don't mind since you are asking to give me help. Please be dear to get me these ingredients from that cabinet." she hands over a long list of vegetables, different kinds of meat, and preservatives, among others to retrieve.
Basil glances at the grippli and somewhat feels a connection to him. She allows him to talk about his experience as a cook and is very impressed with the different knives which most of them she doesn't know.
"Well, I only use chef's knife here. Want to cut big meat? Chef's knife. Peel a fruit? Chef's knife. Put butter on a toast? Chef's knife. Cut some bread? Chef's knife. Debone a fish? Chef's knife. No wonder I struggle sometimes. It is about using different knives!" Moist has her attention.
"I can pull out salt from the cabinet, but it only gives me one kind of salt. Now I think there might be also different types of salt, am I right?"
With Hanu's gesture, she isn't happy about it. She picks it up and returns the rotten fruit to the bin. "Rotten food is supposed to be there, not to be eaten."
"Stone stew? Where did you learn to cook and eat that? Who would a stew of stones?" Basil is disconcerted by such a thought, she can't imagine that her face can't be painted with the reaction.
"Well, I am cooking some steak. can't you smell it?" Basil shares with the fighter as she turns over the meat to its raw side to be cooked over a low flame, while she boils something in a pot. "And no alcoholic beverages allowed here!"

After a few minutes remaining of her cooking, he serves them to the table and invites everyone over.
"Sweeper, why don't you invite our new prisoners to eat here, since you have brought them over here, anyway." Basil calls out Sweeper. "Before you send them in into their prison cells. I like these new prisoners, they have many things I can learn from them about cooking." she adds, as if the Pathfinders are not with them.
Sweeper smiles sheepishly. "Well, they are not prisoners and they are actually here to..." she pauses and nudges the Pathfinder closest to her to help her out.

Moist is so engrossed in the cooking and chef-craft that he doesn't notice Olegaro's hints, and Sweeper's nudge for several moments. He then starts to sense others looking his way.
Oh... yes! So Basil, I think you are a talented cook but our resources here are limited. What if I told you there are places that offered so many more ingredients for you to work with! You should join us in leaving this place, and I will show you where to get your own different knives, and types of salt, and many other spices!

Basil absorbs every words of Moist, contemplating what has just transpired.
"I think you are right. I want to learn more about cooking. And I want to experience using different kinds of knives that are none in this kitchen," she says and removes her apron.
"Count me in to convince the Warden!" she says with certainty.
"Yey!" Sweepes leaps in joy and hugs the chef.
"Alright, no time to eat, and I don't think anyone's hungry. We have other friends that need convincing. Let's go!"

Everyone follows Sweeper, going up the second floor through a set of stairs. A single set of footprints mars the dust that covers the stairs, which matches Sweeper’s feet exactly.
"Well, I am pretty much the only one who goes up and down the stairs." she admits and continues to go up, but this time with Pathfinders and some allies they won over.
In the second floor, a set of cells line the northern wall, iron bars enclosing them from the long hallway. None of them appear locked as the bars hang open. The wooden beds lack straw or any type of sleeping mat and would be terrible places to sleep. A complete suit of full-plate tin armor with a wind-up key in their back stands guard in the hall.
"They are Full-Plate, a former guard. They are the most hopeless, actually. Whining about having no purpose, they have no value and all before I can convince them. And they don't want to upset the Warden so keep guarding those empty cells."

Arriving at the office, while the usual peeling paint and musty smell of the dollhouse is still present in this room, it is more meticulously cared for. Cabinets with stacks of neatly filed papers line the walls. In the center sits a spartan desk currently occupied by a cloth poppet dressed in simple, yet well groomed, merchants’ clothes.
"Greeting Sweeper," Seamless greets her, "and new prisoners?" he adds when he sees the Pathfinders. "And what are the others doing here? Tartan? Basil? Full-Plate? What is the meaning of this?" he asks them and gives a furtive look at Sweeper so as to not make a scene.
"Everyone should be working, doing their tasks assigned to them and not gather around here wasting time." he adds with a fake smile, as if telling them to get back to work.
"I desire nothing more than to keep the dollhouse running in an orderly fashion. And I hope you do the same so that the Warden will be happy that we are doing our jobs." he continues. "And I hope she notices that we are working hard too." he tells them bitterly, hinting them that he feels snubbed by the Warden's lack of attention.
For Seamless: A successful DC 14 Legal Lore check to Recall Knowledge can convince Seamless that he has a duty to fix the neglect the dollhouse has suffered, which must be done from outside. A successful DC 16 Arcana or Occultism check can convince him that the magics of the dollhouse are breaking down. A successful DC 18 Medicine check to Recall Knowledge or Survival check to Subsist can successfully persuade him that the deteriorating dollhouse is unsafe for long-term habitation. Other checks can be used as long as justified by your roleplay. Creative solutions are encouraged.

Rybar thinks back to what he recalls of lessons on binding magic. He says to Seamless "Magic, wonderful as it is - is imperfect. Even binding magic unravels in time. So will the magic putting this house together one day be undone.."

He spots a few items of interest, but he's quite unsure if they should be disturbed.
Look! Talismans of an owlbear claw and a wolf fang. Also a feather step stone. Should we take them? He looks to Sweeper for confirmation or warning.

Moist frowns at Seamless' emphasis on work and order. With a hint of chagrin, he states The magics of this place are breaking down. I think you can sense it too. Join us in confronting the Warden about the ongoing problems here. Then we can do work right, or even choose to do right'er work in other places!

”It wouldn’t make sense to leave the items behind would it?”

Olegaro looks around at the musty office ”Hello. Have you noticed that this place is falling apart. It’s not safe to live here with this stuffy air and the place starting to decay around you.” but fails to get the key point.
